Trainer B Purdon advised Stewards on 11 December that BETTOR LISTEN has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Alexandra Park last week and will continue with its current preparation.
Cambridge Harness - Thursday, 5th December 2019
Race 5 - PAK n SAVE TE AWAMUTU MOBILE PACE
Trainer D Balle advised Stewards on 11 December that QUICK AS FIRE had blood tests taken following its performance at Cambridge last week with no abnormalities detected. Mr Balle added that the gelding will return to workouts before resuming.

Race 1   BARRY PURDON 2500 TRAINING WINS MOBILE PACE
Starter F Phelan was shown a replay of the start in regard to the start point for the mile.
THUMBS UP - raced three wide over the early and middle stages before weakening out with 600 metres to run.
NUN BETTOR - held up for clear racing room until inside the final 100 metres.
JODY DIREEN - weakened out inside the 500 metres.
CLASSIE REACTOR - raced three wide before improving to sit outside the leader at the 1000 metres. Lay in and paced roughly then broke with 50 metres to run.
FERRITTS SISTER - failed to get clear racing room until inside the 100 metres.
Race 2   HANLEY FORMULA AYDC FINAL HEAT MOBILE PACE
BETTOR TRENZ - broke approaching the 1400 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
OLIVIA RACHEL - raced one out without cover and weakened inside the 350 metres.
M T POCKETS - raced three wide early before being eased to the rear.
PEKESON - held up rounding the final turn.
THE PAUA DIVER - raced erratically when clear in the lead during the course of the run home.
DINA BROWN - inconvenienced by a galloping runner approaching the 1400 metres.
JOHNNY MAC - held up rounding the final turn.
Race 3   THAMES HRC 100 YEARS MOBILE TROT
SAVITSKAYA - hung in and broke racing into the first turn losing considerable ground and its chance. The mare was declared unruly for mobile starts.
SECRETOFTHESEA SMILE - Trainer D Jones was charged a colour fee of $25.00.
NOBLE MISTRESS - tired final turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL - unable to maintain position behind the mobile at the start.
PHOEBE IMPERIAL - unable to maintain position behind the mobile at the start. Raced three wide over the early and middle stages.
CHEVRON ACTION - broke free of interference racing into the first turn losing its chance. Driver B Orange advised that the filly raced greenly and did not react well to being placed in restricted room when racing into the first bend.
RED CASTLETON - raced three wide over the early and middle stages.
GALLEONS VICTORY - raced three wide over the early stages before again being improved three wide from the 800 metres.
Race 4   BRECKON FARMS YOUNG GUNS HEAT 1 (MOBILE PACE)
CAPTAIN NEMO - raced three wide early. Paced roughly rounding the final turn.
VINCENT VAN GONE - inclined to lay in throughout the running.
STEPHS BOY - raced three wide from the 1000 metres then weakened out inside the 400 metres.
Race 5   SHARE MOBILE PACE
HUGHIE JUNIOR - held up early final turn.
THE SITUATION - paced roughly entering the first turn.
FABRIZIO - lay in and paced roughly approaching the 400 metres.
BETTOR LISTEN - paced roughly under pressure throughout the run home.
UNDERTHESOUTHERNSUN - raced three wide early and middle stages before improving to the lead passing the 800 metres. Shifted out under pressure over the latter stages of the run home.
Race 6   FASTTRACK INSURANCE $2.5K ADDED STAKE MOBILE TROT
OUR ROSA - broke passing the 500 metres losing its chance.
SPLITTING IMAGE - weakened final turn.
MONKEY SELFIE - broke approaching the 1400 metres losing ground before settling at the rear. Authorisation of the 5th placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
FULL OF HOPE - following its preliminary, the rein burr was removed from the offside. Lay out under pressure throughout the run home.
SWISS MISS - broke near the 700 metres losing its chance.
Race 7   MAC'S BAR IN THE IN-FIELD IDOMS FINALS NIGHT MOBILE PACE
THE LONGEST DAY - broke at the start and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
ROYAL - paced roughly entering the first turn.
RUBY BABY - paced roughly after contesting for a position on the back of THE LONGEST DAY passing the 500 metres.
ARTEMIS - restrained to the rear from its wide draw. Contested for a position on the back of THE LONGEST DAY passing the 500 metres before being forced wide on the final turn and failed to make up ground to finish in 7th place, beaten 8.1 lengths. When questioned Trainer/Driver T Herlihy stated that he wasn't disappointed with the filly's performance given the way the race had been run.
EMMBER - held up early final turn.
Race 8   PRIMOR PRODUCE HANDICAP TROT
WISHING CRYSTAL - broke approaching the 200 metres losing its chance.
MOUNT ASPIRING - Driver S Abernethy reported that he had been unable to drive the gelding out over the final stages due to trotting unevenly.
MAJESTIC SUNRISE - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
MANCHESTER ON FIRE - broke passing the 1200 metres and was retired from the event.
ISAAC H - raced three wide early.
MADEAKILLIN - raced three wide early. Inconvenienced by a breaking runner passing the 1200 metres.
EVERMORE - checked by a breaking runner passing the 1200 metres.
GRENADO - broke briefly passing the 1200 metres when at the rear. Broke again for several strides near the 550 metres. Junior Driver J Cowden was reprimanded for allowing his gelding to move forward and be marginally in advance of his 25 metre handicap. In considering the matter Stewards took into account that this was Mr Cowden's first drive since joining the J Abernethy stable after having been previously licensed in Ireland.
