Co-Trainer M Jones advised Stewards on 4 December that NIRVANA BEACH has been treated for a respiratory infection since racing at Addington last week.

Trainer M Kerr advised Stewards on 6 December that WHERE'S DADDY was found to be suffering from a virus after racing at Motukarara last Sunday and has been sent for a spell.

Race 1   AIRPARK CANTERBURY MOBILE PACE
CLOUD NINE - bucked after the start losing ground and checking trailing runner. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial.
HANDS UP JACK - out of position at the start. Driver G Payne was issued with a warning.
SAM'S TOWN - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Driver S O'Reilly was spoken to and issued with a warning for the manner in which she drove through the early stages when she applied significant pressure to an inside runner (HANDS UP JACK) over some distance despite having no advantage.
TALL POPPY - driver K Tomlinson advised the sliding blinds and deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
LETS HUSTLE - raced wide in the early and middle stages until being able to cross to the parked position near the 900 metres.
THE DUDE - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start and lost ground.
Race 2   HYDROFLOW MOBILE TROT
LUMINOSITY - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend being pushed over several pylons in consequence. Weakened on the final bend.
AWESOME IMPEE - broke in the score up checking runners on the 2nd line with a false start being declared. Driver P Wakelin elected to move to the unruly position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres having to shift outwards.
FAITH NO MORE - broke near the 1600 metres.
LISTEN EASY - lay inwards racing into the bend near the 1100 metres and as a result lost ground and its position trailing the leader.
PIPER MOSS - broke at the 500 metres.
SHEZA MIGHTY MONARCH - broke at both attempts at a start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Trainer M Purvis advised the mare would return to the trials before resuming.
BREAK FREE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres having to shift outwards.
MAUI VACATION - weakened on the final bend.
DORA EXPLORER - broke at both attempts at a start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres having to shift outwards.
Race 3   FAST10 HORSE RACING - 20 DECEMBER PACE
PINE CONE - broke briefly at the start.
TOMBELINA - shifted outwards as the barriers were released and bumped BOUND TO IMPRESS. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - dislodged a track marker near the 1000 metres.
DYNAMITE - hung inwards leaving the first bend.
GHOSTWRITER - the required veterinary clearance was received.
STAR PAIGE - unable to hold its position in the field between the 1800 metres until the 1300 metres. Weakened near the 400 metres.
CAN I BE ME - hung inwards and paced roughly on the first bend. Broke approaching the 2100 metres. When questioned regarding this, driver J Morrison explained the horse had run away from the rein pole which subsequently came adrift when in a gallop. Mr Morrison advised he would be recommending the boring pole be removed for the gelding's next start.
BEAU VISTA - broke approaching the 2100 metres.
AMORE LANCOME - checked and broke for a short distance near the 2000 metres.
Race 4   SPRAYMARKS MOBILE PACE
PERAKI REACTOR - when spoken to regarding the colt's performance, driver T Williams reported his runner to have been unsuited to the fast tempo of today's race. Trainer G Payne advised the horse will now be gelded.
GLENLEDI CHIEF - broke near the 700 metres when being restrained. Stewards questioned driver S Ottley regarding this who explained that several horses had shifted ground to avoid the weakening ROUGH AND READY with her gelding not able to be sufficiently restrained. Miss Ottley added that she had recommended to trainer S Smolenski that he make gear alterations to the horse's blinds in the hope that it would become more responsive.
LUMINITE - held up and hampered by a weakening runner near the 800 metres.
DEJA BLUE - held up near the 800 metres and hampered by a weakening runner. Driver J Morrison will be spoken to regarding the manner in which he shifted ground at this time.
CARITA - raced wide in the early stages despite the efforts of driver G Smith to restrain. Raced fiercely throughout causing driver G Smith considerable difficulty. Weakened approaching the 600 metres. Mr Smith advised the gelding had been striking its sulky wheels.
ROUGH AND READY - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Weakened passing the 800 metres and compounded soon after being distanced at the finishing line. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer/driver T Chmiel advised that despite racing wide for some distance he had been disappointed with its efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
BEAUDIENE HUSTLER - checked by a breaking runner near the 700 metres having to shift ground outwards and raced wide thereafter.
BOSSMARO - broke passing the 800 metres losing ground.
Race 5   HANLEY FORMULA AUSTRALASIAN YOUNG DRIVERS CHAMPS MOB TROT
SUGAR CANE - driver C Hart reported he did not activate the mare's sliding blinds.
TEHORO DAZZLE - weakened from the 700 metres after racing parked throughout. When questioned regarding the mare's performance, driver Z Phillips could only advise the mare had travelled lethargically throughout and had proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer R Holmes in the coming days.
MISS MOPPET - broke briefly near the 1100 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres.
JUSTAN'S SISTER - unable to maintain its position behind the mobile. Raced wide from the 800 metres.
UNIQUE ROSE - unable to maintain its position behind the mobile. Broke near the 1850 metres.
CHASING GREAT - unable to maintain its position behind the mobile. Broke at the start losing its chance.
ONE OVER DA SON - trainer N McGrath was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after ONE OVER DA SON was presented without the notified blinds. Unable to maintain its position behind the mobile. A warning was placed on the horse's barrier record. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100 metres.
JIMMY CARTER - broke in the score up losing its chance.
Race 6   MISCO JOINERY HANDICAP PACE
FYNN FROST - over-raced and hung inwards through the middle stages.
FRANCO NIVEN - driver T Williams advised the deafeners were not released due to having the field covered.
SPOT ON - broke briefly at the start.
NEARIS GREEN - shifted outwards in the early stages.
OVERARM - began awkwardly and was then hampered by NEARIS GREEN. Over-raced through the middle stages. Broke at the 150 metres.
KINGMAKER - broke at the start.
BRINGITONHOME - had to be steadied near the 1900 metres due to an easing of the pace.
MEMPHIS TENNESSEE - had to be steadied near the 1900 metres due to an easing of the pace.
Race 7   DOMINATOR CHRISTCHURCH MOBILE PACE
THE GOVERNOR - over-raced when surrendering the lead to FRANCO HAMPTON near the 2300 metres.
SWEET LORESS - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight.
Race 8   XCM SPORT MOBILE TROT
ZEDDIE MARIT - driver J Dunn reported the gelding to have over-raced throughout.
JUSTAMOLLYARCHER - over-raced in the early stages until improving three wide near the 1600 metres.
MAJESTIC HURRICANE - over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 9   CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE
SHARDAN SUZIE - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.45pm. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
PRINCESS FULHAM - broke racing into the first bend when positioned to the inside of MAHARANI and CANSTAR. Stewards questioned drivers R Holmes (PRINCESS FULHAM), M Anderson (MAHARANI) and T Chmiel (CANSTAR) and after doing so adjourned the matter to a later date.
SAGINAW - held up in the early stages of the run home.
EL CAPITAN - had to be steadied in the early stages when crowded by CANSTAR.
GOTTA PARTY DOLL - crowded for a short distance in the early stages and broke shortly after the start when being restrained.
CANSTAR - shifted inwards leaving the bend near the 1500 metres making contact with the front right leg of MAHARANI and sustained a punctured sulky tyre in consequence. After questioning driver T Chmiel the matter was adjourned to a later date.
FUN IN THE DARK - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
