STRENGTH OF HEART - lay out at various stages and in particular in the run home when under pressure.
REIGN - broke shortly after the start inconveniencing another runner and trailed the field.
MUMS STAR - shifted out under pressure near the 100m. Trotted roughly late in the run home.
SHANHILL - raced three wide rounding the first turn. Broke late in the run home.
EMPRESS OF THE SUN - Trainer G Pullen was cautioned for presenting the mare with blinds which were not notified. Inconvenienced and broke shortly after the start. Broke again entering the first turn and was retired from the event.
Race 2   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE-$4800 SPECIAL PRICE MOBILE PACE
DRUM BEAT - broke at the entrance to the passing lane losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
DOCTOR LOVE - broke racing in to the first bend after the near side hopple connecting strap broke and was retired from the event. The gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition.
COMEDY ACT - broke for several strides near the 100m.
COMING IN HOT - weakened over the final 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
RICHMOND TIGER - briefly inconvenienced by a weakening runner near the 500m. The Murphy blind came partially adrift during the running.
GOLDEN QUEST - lay in late in the score up and over the early stages. Appeared to shy away from the mobile, which was positioned on the outside of the track, entering the first turn. Raced three wide early.
BETTOR GET IT ON - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Raced three wide with cover from the 1200m.
RECKON IM SMART - held up rounding the final turn and early stages of the run home.
BROOKIES JAFFA - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Raced three wide without cover from the 1200m. Connections advised that the gelding threw its near hind shoe during the running.
JOHNSON STEP - pulled hard during the score up. Inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn.
MACHTEER - broke rounding the first turn when taking evasive action to avoid a galloping runner and trailed the field throughout.
BLAKE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn.

VENETO - over-raced middle stages. Held up early final turn.
HAPPY PLACE - commenced to over-race entering the front straight the first time after surrendering the lead and was then taken forward to lead at the 2000m.
THE BATMOBILE - momentarily tightened early in the run home.
SABREUR - shifted out three wide briefly near the 1200m before being taken back down into the one out running line. Lay in on straightening for the run home momentarily tightening an inside runner.
DESTINED FOR HEAVEN - weakened inside the final 400m. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Trainer T Vince advised that the mare would be turned out for a spell.
VANHALEM - inconvenienced briefly near the 1100m.
J BEE - slow over the early stages of the score up and was a length out of position at the start. Junior Driver S Rapley, with the assistance of Senior Driver M White, was shown the film and reminded of her obligations to have her runner in position as required in future. Stewards took into account that the horse had lay in and paced roughly. Lost contact with the field racing down the back straight the last time. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
Race 4   MARSHALL RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
SUPER ACTOR - paced roughly then broke rounding the first turn. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
SHEZA KAMIKAZE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1700m. Held up early final turn.
COURTNEY JANE - raced three wide early.
DAMETORO - raced three wide early. Briefly jostled for a position in the one out running line near the 1700m.
CASSIUS - obliged to race three wide briefly when taking evasive action near the 1700m to avoid a breaking runner.
YANKEE DANCER - checked by a breaking runner rounding the first turn.
MANHATTAN SUNSHINE - briefly jostled for a position in the one out running line near the 1700m before being shifted to the markers. Held up early final turn and initial stages of the run home.
FLEETING MAJOR - obliged to race three wide briefly to avoid a breaking runner near the 1700m.
Race 5   PAK n SAVE TE AWAMUTU MOBILE PACE
MAJOR BLINK - shifted outwards checking an outside runner near the 100m. Driver J Robinson admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. The JCA imposed a fine of $300.00.
COOL AND CALCULATING - checked and paced roughly near the 100m.
QUICK AS FIRE - broke early in the score up but recovered to take its position behind the mobile prior to the start. Weakened inside the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
ARTY PHARTY - raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear near the 1500m. Held up late in the run home.
BEAUDIENE EMERALD - hampered by a weakening runner near the 400m.
MOLLY DOOKER - held up rounding the final turn and early in the run home.
BETTOR TRENZ - hampered by a weakening runner near the 400m.
CLIFTON FLUTTER - held up rounding the final turn and the early stages of the run home.
Trainer D Balle advised Stewards on 11 December that QUICK AS FIRE had blood tests taken following its performance at Cambridge last week with no abnormalities detected. Mr Balle added that the gelding will return to workouts before resuming.
Race 6   ASSET RECRUITMENT MOBILE PACE
DOUBLE OR NOTHING - improved to lead passing the 1800m but was run down inside the final 100m finishing in 7th place beaten 5.5 lengths. Driver Z Butcher could offer no explanation for the performance other than the gelding had disappointed connections as it had at its previous start.
ARMED REACTOR - broke shortly after the start checking several second row runners. Broke again passing the 1200m inconveniencing a trailing runner and trailed the field. Warnings were placed on the gelding's barrier and racing manners records.
SIMON - inconvenienced by a breaking runner passing the 1200m. Over-raced at the rear of the field entering the back straight for the final time. Driver T Mitchell advised that the deafeners failed to activate due to the cord breaking.
COURT ON THE EDGE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner shortly after the start. The offside sliding blind failed to activate correctly over the final stages.
AFORTUNADO - checked shortly after the start by a breaking runner losing ground.
Race 7   BLACK DOG FURNITURE HANDICAP TROT
PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL - held up early final turn and again late in the run home.
SPLITTING IMAGE - held up early final turn.
LADY BE GOOD - broke near the winning post on the first occasion. Broke passing the 800m losing its chance.
ANNA KATE - broke briefly at the winning post the first time and then switched to a pace entering the first turn settling at the rear. Held up early final turn.
AS FREE AS AIR - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
OUR SPITFIRE - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 900m losing its chance.
NATTY PAGGER - raced three wide early. Shifted out on entering the home straight.
LUKYANOVA - Junior Driver L Whittaker, with assistance from Senior Driver S Phelan, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) of the 'Use of the Whip' Regulations. Mr Whittaker's Driver's licence was suspended following the conclusion of racing on 10 December up to and including 14 December 2019 (3 days).
Race 8   JLN BUILDERS MOBILE PACE
MCDAKNIFE - weakened final stages.
IDEAL AGENT - raced three wide early. Raced roughly near the 200m when shifting outwards to obtain clear running.
DRUM WITHERS - raced three wide early and middle stages. Over-raced middle stages when outside the leader. Weakened final turn.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS - hampered by a weakening runner near the 350m. Held up briefly rounding the final turn.
SANTANNA MACH - improved three wide with cover from the 1200m. Forced four wide passing the 950m.
Race 9   CALDER STEWART TROT (STANDING START)
The start was delayed due to SAVITSKAYA becoming fractious. This mare was subsequently declared a late scratching at 9.36pm by order of the Stewards and will be required to trial satisfactorily before resuming.
MACKERELLI - raced wide from the 1000m. Weakened final stages.
THIS SKY ROX - raced three wide early. Tired final stages.
FLYING TAINE - raced three wide early and middle stages.
MAJESTIC STRIDE - broke passing the 1400m soon settling.
STOW - broke passing the 1800m and trailed the field.
KEYSTONE CAVALIER - broke passing the 50m.
GRENADO - back from the unruly position at the start and was slow over the early stages. Removed from the Unruly for future standing starts at the Trainer's request.
RAVE NATION - Trainer R Paynter was cautioned for presenting the mare without the notified half hopples.
