Race 1   EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE OF BESTSEAT360 MOBILE PACE
PEKESON - trainers D & C McGowan were issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds.
LOUIE THE HORSE - lay outwards when under pressure throughout the final straight.
OLIVIA RACHEL - placed in restricted room near the 300 metres when runners either side shifted ground causing the mare to pace roughly and have to be steadied.
SHEFFIELD SPARKY - lay in rounding the final turn.
Race 2   VOLSTEAD AT HARAS des TROTTEURS HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared at the first attempt after the barriers failed to release. A further false start was declared at the second attempt when barriers again malfunctioned, with all tapes handheld for the third attempt.
MONKEY SELFIE - broke approaching the winning post on the first occasion losing its chance. Driver N Chilcott was cautioned for failing to report an occurrence which may have affected her horse's chances after the front barrier had failed to clear her runner. The mare was placed on the unruly at the request of Ms Chilcott for future standing start events.
TOBRUK - broke at the start.
FULL OF HOPE - lay outwards throughout the run home.
MAGNAFIQUE - broke briefly at the start.
CHEVRON ACTION - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
FIRA - hampered shortly after the start by a breaking runner and had to shift ground with the mare galloping in consequence. Weakened on the final bend. A post race veterinary examination failed to detect any obvious abnormality.
FANNY HILL - Stewards approved a late driver change when B Williamson encountered a flight delay with A Butt being named as the replacement.
THATGIRLTROUBLE - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke losing all chance.
GALLEONS VICTORY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight.
RED CASTLETON - held up near the 100 metres.
SHE REIGNS - pre-race warmed. Shifted in under pressure over the final stages. Driver D Ferguson is to be spoken to in relation to this incident.
Race 3   IT'LL BE HOT AT MAC'S POTTERS PADDOCK DEC 13/14 MOBILE PACE
NUN BETTOR - held up early final turn.
MAJOR JELLIS - Trainer B Purdon was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding with blinds which had not been notified. Weakened final turn. When spoken to regarding the performance Mr Purdon advised that he was of the opinion the gelding had been required to work too hard over the early stages and that this may have taken its toll. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
DOUBLE O HEAVEN - Trainer B Lilley was issued with a warning for presenting the mare without the notified blinds. Compounded from the 800 metres. A post race veterinary examination showed the mare to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
FERRITTS SISTER - shifted inwards racing towards the first bend and made contact with CALLIE'S DELIGHT which broke. After speaking with Drivers N Chilcott and J Dickie (CALLIE'S DELIGHT) Ms Chilcott was issued with a warning for the manner in which she shifted ground. Held up early final turn.
SOUTH COAST ARDEN - Driver B Mangos reported he had not been able to activate the deafeners and sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
BUBBLES O'LEARY - tired from the 600 metres. The connections advised that the mare had not backed up from its run on the opening night. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
CALLIE'S DELIGHT - broke for several strides near the 2000 metres when racing to the inside of FERRITTS SISTER.
Race 4   LINCOLN FARMS MOBILE PACE
NEW YORK MINUTE - broke passing the 2000 metres settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
RUBY BABY - hampered approaching the 1400 metres by a breaking runner.
CHRISTIANSHAVTIME - over-raced middle stages.
JACK RYAN - inconvenienced by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres and then raced greenly when there was an easing of the pace in the one out line near the 1150 metres. Broke near the 600 metres after having been shifted wider on the track by HUGHIE JUNIOR. The colt was subsequently stood down until it trials satisfactorily.
BETTOR LISTEN - broke near the 1400 metres and settled at the rear. Paced roughly rounding the final turn and throughout the run home. A post veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer B Purdon advised that he was disappointed with the performance given that the gelding had trialed well leading into the event. Stewards will follow up with connections regarding BETTOR LISTEN's recovery in the coming days. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
Race 5   IRT IDOM PACING CHAMPS H3 (MOBILE PACE)
A G'S WHITE SOCKS - raced wide in the early stages.
DANCE TIME - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
COLT THIRTY ONE - raced wide throughout. Weakened near the 300 metres.
ATOMIC RED - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
HENRY HUBERT - held up throughout the run home.
MY KIWI MATE - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
SICARIO - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
ASHLEY LOCAZ - broke in the initial stages of the score up but was in position prior to dispatch. A final warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
THEFIXER - raced three wide from the 1200 metres.
Race 6   SOUTHERN BRED SOUTHERN REARED IDOM TROT CHAMPS H3 (MOB TROT)
KENNY'S DREAM - broke at the start inconveniencing MASSIVE METRO, which had to shift ground, and lost its chance.
WINTERFELL - raced three wide early. Held up in the early stages of the run home by a weakening runner. Driver M Purdon was questioned regarding his decision to surrender the parked position near the 1050 metres to C K SPUR. Mr Purdon explained that on the first night his horse had over-raced causing him some difficulty however had proved far more tractable this evening. He added that he was reluctant to hurry his runner at this time to hold the parked position or try for the front as it may cause his gelding to latch on and race fiercely which would have been to his detriment. Mr Purdon said he was confident of being able to work into an open position later in the race however this had not eventuated leaving him unable to find clearance. The Stewards noted the comments of Mr Purdon.
C K SPUR - raced three wide early and middle stages.
VALLORIA - raced three wide throughout.
MASSIVE METRO - inconvenienced briefly shortly after the start.
WOODSTONE - broke with 1000 metres to run losing its chance. The gelding was subsequently stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
Race 7   SMITH & PARTNERS LAWYERS IDOM PACING CHAMPS H4 (MOBILE PACE)
SAN CARLO - pre race warmed. Over-raced through the middle stages. Sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 200 metres.
CLASSIE BRIGADE - hung outwards rounding the final turn.
TRIPLE EIGHT - raced three wide from the 1150 metres then forced four wide near the 700 metres.
ULTIMATE SNIPER - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 450 metres.
CRUZ BROMAC - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader passing the 800 metres. Driver M Purdon was questioned regarding his decision to surrender the parked position near the 600 metres to the improving ULTIMATE SNIPER. After hearing initial evidence from Mr Purdon and viewing the replays the investigation was adjourned to enable Stewards to give the matter further consideration.
BLING IT ON(AUS) - held up early final turn. Driver L McCarthy admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when contacting the sulky wheel of SAN CARLO when shifting down the track into the passing lane near the 200 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $300.00.
ANOTHER MASTERPIECE - held up until passing the 100 metres.
STAR GALLERIA - raced three wide early.
THE DEVILS OWN - raced three wide early and middle stages.
Race 8   CADUCEUS CLUB IDOM TROT CHAMPS H4 (MOBILE TROT) (G3)
DIDJABRINGTHEBEERS - broke at the start inconveniencing a trailing runner and lost all chance.
BIG JACK HAMMER - lay in during the score up and was back from position at dispatch. Driver L McCarthy advised that he had encountered difficulties steering the gelding which had laid on the pole throughout the score up. Checked and broke passing the 100 metres when racing to the inside of MONTY PYTHON with resultant interference to RONALD J. An investigation was held into this incident and after hearing evidence from B Williamson (MONTY PYTHON) and L McCarthy (BIG JACK HAMMER) the matter was adjourned to enable Stewards to question Driver S Phelan (RONALD J) who had left the course.
TOUGH MONARCH - broke at the start and was then inconvenienced by a breaking runner.
