Race 1   KURIPUNI SPORTS BAR HANDICAP TROT
BULLER WHITEBAIT - broke passing the 700 metres soon settling. Broke again briefly near the 300 metres. Broke under pressure with 80 metres to run losing ground before settling. Authorisation of third placing was withheld until it was established that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when galloping late in the run home.
LEESA CASTLETON - trotted unevenly rounding the final turn and broke approaching the 200 metres losing its chance.
SECRETOFTHESEA SMILE - broke rounding the first turn losing considerable ground.
CAITLIN'S SURPRISE - broke shortly after the start losing ground before settling.
Race 2   CONNIE STEWART SOTHEBY'S INTERNATIONAL REALTY MOBILE PACE
MASADA - paced roughly shortly after the start.
TOMMY TAHI - paced roughly at various stages when outside the leader. Broke inside the 800 metres losing ground before settling. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
SHAN ONE - hung in at various stages.
HE'S GRATIS - caught three wide for the first 800 metres before being restrained to the rear.
DRUM BEAT - raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear.
DAMETORO - broke near the 700 metres when being restrained off the back of CLASSEY ROBIN and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
ALL MONEY - raced at the rear from its second line draw. Improved wide from the 700 metres. Inconvenienced briefly by a weakening runner passing the 500 metres but only battled in the run home to finish in 8th place beaten 6.3 lengths. Driver B Orange advised that the mare had lay in rounding the final turn and that the connections would be adding a boring pole for the second day.
Race 3   LIVING THE DREAM MOBILE PACE
TACTFUL REACTION - Trainer J Abernethy was cautioned for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. Paced roughly rounding the first turn and again throughout the run home.
FLEETMASTER - broke briefly early in the score up but recovered to take its position behind the mobile. Raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear. Raced keenly middle stages. Raced wide from the 700 metres.
ZIP CODE - lay out throughout the score up. Broke passing the 500 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
EMMI ROSE - raced greenly rounding the first turn losing contact with the body of the field. Paced roughly racing into the final turn.
CARSE O FERN CULLY - held up briefly rounding the final turn but only battled in the run home.
Race 4   OSBORNE GROUP CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE PACE
MILLIETHEPIPER - weakened final stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
HARVEY SPECTER - Driver J Abernethy reported that he pulled a punctured sulky tyre from the middle stages.
HEY GOOD LOOKIN - restrained early and then lost contact with the body of the field for some distance.
JOHNNY SPEIGHT - over-raced early and middle stages. Choked down with 1300 metres to run and fell inside the marker line. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had not sustained any injuries. Driver J Curtin was cleared by St Johns Paramedics to continue with his driving engagements. Stood down until it trials satisfactorily.
I SAID IMRACN - veered outwards in the early stages of the score up and was retired from the event. Stood down until it trials satisfactorily. This gelding was also placed on the unruly for future mobiles.
Race 5   POST OFFICE HOTEL PAHIATUA MOBILE PACE
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - trailed the leader before attempting to use the passing lane but only battled to finish 4th. Driver B Orange stated that the mare had received every opportunity and had not been good enough on the day.
SIMPLY DREAMING - broke passing the 2100 metres when at the rear losing several lengths before recovering.
Race 6   NOEL PRESTON MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
MARTIN MCGUINNESS - weakened inside the final 400 metres.
AMARO - raced three wide early.
UNCLE DREW - held up for a run prior to the 400 metres and again briefly passing the 200 metres.
LINCOLN LOVELY - lay in during the score up and was out of position at the start. Continued to lay in rounding the turns and over-raced middle stages when at the rear.
RYANS GAL - weakened inside the final 700 metres finishing well back. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the mare's racing performance.
Race 7   PGG WRIGHTSON MOBILE PACE
BENJAMIN BUTTON - broke approaching the 1600 metres when leading and continued in a gallop for a distance losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
RAKE - inconvenienced by a galloping runner inside the 1600 metres.
LYNTON CREEK - raced three wide early and middle stages.
RED TERROR - raced three wide early stages.
SHEIKH YABOOTY - raced three wide early and middle stages. Inconvenienced by a galloping runner inside the 1600 metres.
