Race 1   CENTRAL ENERGY TRUST HANDICAP TROT
MACKERELLI - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 1700 metres losing its chance.
BURT MUNRO - broke for a short distance near the 1400 metres.
LEESA CASTLETON - inconvenienced and broke at the 800 metres losing ground before settling.
TAKENOPRISONERS - jumped a shadow and trotted roughly near the 800 metres inconveniencing a trailing runner. Authorisation of first placing was withheld to enable Stewards to investigate this incident to ascertain whether there were grounds for a protest. After viewing the replays and hearing the respective evidence of Drivers D Butcher (TAKENOPRISONERS) and S Phelan (LEESA CASTLETON), who stated that he felt that his mare should not have galloped, Stewards did not proceed with the protest and authorised placings accordingly.
LAURA BUSH - slow away at the start.
SUNDONS FLYER - slow early from its 40 metre handicap. Junior Driver A Harrison admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(g) in that she drove in a manner which diminished the chances of her mare winning by miscounting the rounds racing through the front straight to receive the bell. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Miss Harrison's Driver's Licence up to and including the 8th of November 2019 (4 days).
Race 2   CARTOWN MOBILE PACE
IAMTHEDREAM - broke in the initial stage of the score up but was in position prior to dispatch.
DEN'S LEGACY - paced roughly throughout the home straight and could not be driven out finishing in fourth place.
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - paced roughly after surrendering the lead and broke near the 1700 metres but soon settled before being taken forward to lead near the 1400 metres.
MISTER MIGHTY - broke at the 2000 metres losing its chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
CHROMOZONE - raced fiercely in the middle stages and was then taken forward three wide near the 800 metres.
Race 3   MANELINE FARRIERS SUPPLIES MOBILE PACE
TOMMY TAHI - broke briefly near the 200 metres.
ABSOLUT RUSSIAN - shifted out near the 150 metres checking an outside runner and was corrected by Driver B Orange.
MACHTEER - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
I SAID IMRACN - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
ACE STRIKE - checked and raced roughly passing the 150 metres.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - raced keenly down the back straight the final time.
Race 4   OUTBACK TRADING MOBILE PACE
FANCY SCHMANCY - trailed on the outer throughout and lay in on the final turn when attempting to improve three wide and only battled into fifth place beaten 7.9 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver B Orange confirmed that the mare had lay in badly on the final turn and throughout the run home. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
TEMPO ROSE - shifted in marginally late in the run home and briefly locked sulky stays with VANHALEM.
VANHALEM - shifted outwards under pressure and briefly locked sulky stays with TEMPO ROSE near the 50 metres.
RED RIVER DASH - gave ground final stages.
BETTOR TRENZ - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1600 metres losing its chance and was retired from the event. Warnings were placed on the gelding's mobile barrier and racing manners.
RED TERROR - raced keenly in the score up and then continued to over-race before being taken forward inside the 1500 metres to race outside the leader.
Race 5   ALBERT "OLDIES" MOBILE PACE
BURST OUT LAUGHING - over raced middle stages when trailing the leader. Checked near the 800 metres and lost ground.
CAPTAIN MAX - unable to maintain its position late in the score up. Checked at the 800 metres and again near the 700 metres losing all chance and was retired from the event.
KARMIC WAY - paced roughly and broke approaching the 800 metres badly checking trailing runners and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
LINCOLN MOMENT - over raced middle stages when midfield.
MUCHO MACHO MAN - paced roughly at various stages and in particular when under pressure in the run home.
THE KAPITI EXPRESS - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Badly hampered near the 700 metres when having to take evasive action and shifted wide on the track.
JINGLES BROMAC - checked at the 800 metres and then again near the 700 metres losing its chance.
SWEET MAGGIE RYAN - checked near the 800 metres dislodging Driver S Abernethy from the sulky and checked trailing runners. Mr Abernethy was uninjured in this incident and cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.
CHANGEAROUND - checked and raced roughly passing the 800 metres.
Race 6   ITM PALMERSTON NORTH MOBILE PACE
PETER FORSBERG - paced roughly near the 250 metres when shifting out off the leader's back checking MR BILLIARDS with resultant interference to outside and trailing runners. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
STEVIE LYNN - inconvenienced near the 250 metres.
WESTAR SAM - checked and broke near the 250 metres losing its chance.
MARIA KIRILENKO - lost contact with the body of the field racing down the back straight the first time after having been restrained early. Checked and raced roughly near the 250 metres.
MOLLY DOOKER - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
MATAI MINKY - inconvenienced near the 250 metres.
MR BILLIARDS - unsuccessfully contested for the lead racing down the back the first time. Checked near the 250 metres.
Race 7   WELCOME MEMBERS NEXT MEETING THURSDAY MOBILE PACE
JESSIE KELLY - shifted in early in the run home locking sulky stays with GREENBACK BOOGIE which shifted ground outwards.
CARSE O FERN CULLY - lay out throughout the run home and was slow to take the run in the passing lane that had become available.
SHAN ONE - lay in at various stages and in particular on the final turn. Tightened near the 200 metres.
PAYMENT PLAN - lay inwards early in the run home tightening SHAN ONE near the 200 metres.
YANKEE DANCER - paced roughly and broke rounding the first turn inconveniencing trailing runners. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
EMMI ROSE - paced roughly in the early stages losing ground and then hampered by a breaking runner near the 1750 metres. Paced roughly again early in the run home.
SPECIALE UNO - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
