Trainer B Gray advised Stewards that NOTA BENE DENARIO was found to be suffering from a cold subsequent to its disappointing performance at Ascot Park on Sunday. Mr Gray added that the gelding would now be given a brief freshener and return to workouts prior to resuming. |

FANNY HILL - held up for clear racing room for the majority of the home straight. Driver C Purvis reported she did not activate the removable deafeners. Stewards questioned Ms Purvis, assisted by M Williamson, regarding her decision not to improve outwards near the 1000 metres when an opportunity existed. Ms Purvis explained that she had been concerned to shift wider and to race in the open due to the strong head wind in the back straight and felt the mare would be better suited being saved for one run. After hearing from Ms Purvis, Stewards noted her comments. Ms Purvis was also spoken to advisedly regarding the manner she drove late in the run home when briefly crowding an inside runner. | |
