Race 4 - McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS SIRES' STAKES SERIES (HEAT 2) MOB PACE
Co-Trainer M Purdon advised Stewards on 8 October that blood tests taken from AQUA SANCTA showed the colt to be pre-viral which explained the disappointing performance.
Co-Trainer C Dalgety advised Stewards on 10 October that CARDINAL SIN has been treated for dehydration since racing at Addington last week and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 5 - CANTERBURY PRINT SERVICE LTD TROTTING CUP (HANDICAP TROT)
Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 10 October 2019, that GREAT THINGS HAPPEN was found to have been suffering from a respiratory infection and is currently being treated for this.
Race 7 - LAMB & HAYWARD CANTERBURY CLASSIC (STAND PACE)
Co-Trainer G Hope advised Stewards on 10 October that following its performance at Addington last week, A G'S WHITE SOCKS has had its hocks treated and also has had treatment for a slight infection. Mr Hope further advised that it is his intention to start the gelding at Addington next Friday.
Race 8 - WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
Trainer S Telfer advised Stewards that some minor issues were identified in a blood test taken from FLYING STEPS with these issues resolved earlier this week. Mr Telfer added that the mare has since recovered well and had worked strongly on Tuesday.

Race 1   CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE
OPAWA MACH - over-raced in the middle stages.
EL CAPITAN - over-raced in the middle stages.
DEN'S LEGACY - hung inwards and paced roughly near the 200 metres.
CAESAR'S QUEST - paced roughly in the early and middle stages.
EVERY OPTION - hung inwards and paced roughly late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Notwithstanding this, driver S McNally was reminded of his obligations to make a greater effort in the early stages of the score up to be in his correct position.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Versteeg. At the request of trainer/driver J Versteeg, the mare will now be drawn unruly for mobile starts. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
THATS BETTOR - held up leaving the final bend.
Race 2   THE EDGE PUBLIC VILLAGE ON SALE (addington.co.nz) MOB TROT
TONIQUE DE FEU - broke in the score up and lost its chance. This gelding will now be drawn unruly for mobile starts.
DON'T LOOK BACK - hung inwards on several occasions in the score up and was out of position at the start. Weakened final bend.
TAKE AFTER ME - driver R Houghton admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
DESPERATEANDANGEROUS - broke shortly after the start and when galloping back through the field shifted outwards and locked wheels with SIERRA GOLD. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
IN SEQUENCE - broke in the score up losing its chance.
SIERRA GOLD - checked and broke near the 1700 metres losing ground. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
MILLY AN EYRE - trotted roughly in the home straight.
TERRIER - very slow to leave the pre-race circle and in the score up, being out of position and getting back as a result. Switched to a pace passing the 140 metres and was immediately restrained by driver M Purvis.
Race 3   THE CROSSING FASHION COMPETITION - 12 NOVEMBER MOBILE PACE
DEJA BLUE - driver S McNally was cautioned to ensure he drives his runner out fully to the end of the race.
STORM - hung outwards and paced roughly in the home straight.
I'LL WRITE THE STORY - lay in throughout the run home.
HELD TO RANSOM - hung outwards and broke approaching the candy pole losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 4   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS SUPPORTERS OF CUP WEEK MOBILE PACE
IM A GIGOLO - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver M Anderson reported the gelding had been unsuited to racing parked. Co-trainer C Dalgety advised that the horse was racing up in grade against older horses and had also been unsuited to the quick tempo of the race throughout.
PAY ME VISA - weakened on the bend near the 400 metres.
KRUIZR - hung inwards leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
A BETTOR ACT - driver T Williams reported he had not activated the entire's deafeners or sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
MONGOLIAN CAVALRY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Orange.
Race 5   BOOK YOUR LINDAUER LAWN TICKETS (addington.co.nz) MOB TROT
LONE STAR LAD - broke briefly near the 550 metres when attempting a marginal run between RUTHLESS KAYLA and MAJESTIC SUNSET. Driver R Close was cautioned for the manner in which he drove at this stage of the race when anticipating a run.
EASY PICKINGS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 550 metres. Held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
MAJESTIC SUNSET - lay inwards near the 900 metres and made the bend awkwardly losing some ground as a result. Again lay inwards entering the final bend when under pressure and could not be driven out by driver J Curtin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
AGATHA TYRON - trotted roughly after 100 metres and had to be steadied.
RUTHLESS KAYLA - hung inwards rounding the final bend and struck several pylons.
LOVEY DOVEY MOMENT - well back from the unruly position at the start. Trotted roughly throughout the home straight.
Race 6   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MET MEGA SERIES MOBILE PACE
GILLIGANS ISLAND - raced greenly on the final bend laying inwards and then outwards.
FREDDIESAM - over-raced in the early and middle stages.
ARDEN'S REALITY - hung out over the final stages. Driver M Anderson reported he had been unable to fully pressure his gelding due to it favouring one rein.
Race 7   NZ BLOODSTOCK NEW TRIPLE CROWN SERIES MOBILE PACE
DOUBLE O HEAVEN - broke in the score up and was out of positon at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up on the final bend.
FLYING STEPS - weakened near the 400 metres. Paced roughly in the home straight and had to be steadied passing the 100 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver C Thornley could only advise he had been very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed mucus in the airways following an endoscopic examination. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
BETTOR'S HEART - held up on the final bend.
Race 8   AIRPARK CANTERBURY & ADDINGTON OWNERS PASS HANDICAP TROT
HEY YO - weakened final bend.
VALLORIA - caused a delay when charging through the front barrier. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
ENGHIEN - trotted roughly under pressure on the bend near the 400 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver R May advised the gelding to have travelled well throughout but proved disappointing once headed by WINTERFELL leaving the back straight. Co-trainer G Hope advised that in his opinion the gelding would derive benefit from tonight's run bearing in mind that it had not started since the 29th of September.
AMARETTO SUN - broke at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly for a short distance when taken inwards to access the passing lane near the 200 metres.
WINTERFELL - raced keenly through the middle stages and had to be steadied near the 1100 metres when awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of HEY YO. Hung inwards and struck a pylon leaving the final bend.
Race 9   GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS LTD SHOWDAY FUTURITY PRELUDE MOB PACE
SAM'S TOWN - lay outwards racing into the first bend.
LENNOX BROMAC - the connections advised the gelding has had its hocks injected since last racing. Held up final bend.
FLY LIKA FALCON - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver G Smith advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
COMFORTABLY NUMB - lay outwards in the early stages of the home straight.
STEALTH BOMBA - lay inwards and made the final bend awkwardly causing the gelding to lose ground. Driver J Dunn reported the gelding had raced greenly and failed to respond to his urgings once activating the removable deafeners.
BOSSMARO - held up final bend.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - held up final bend.
Race 10   SPECTATORS BIRTHDAY-FREE BBQ & ENTERTAINMENT-13 OCT MOB PACE
BARKLEY - over-raced in the early stages.
INVISIBLE GIRL - paced roughly in the score up and was back slightly at the start.
GOOD ON YA KIWI - raced keenly through the middle stages.
FROSTY RECEPTION - over-raced in the early stages. Held up final bend.
STUNIN MAGIC - over-raced through the middle stages when positioned outside the leader causing driver S Ottley some difficulty. Weakened leaving the final bend.
DOWN TO THE BONE - raced greenly on the final bend and hung inwards despite the efforts of driver J Dunn resulting in the horse making contact with the sulky wheel of INVISIBLE GIRL and broke losing its chance.
