Race 1   STEWART ISLAND FLIGHTS HANDICAP TROT
MR OLYMPUS - broke shortly after the start and again on several occasions during the running.
ALPINE RETREAT - Junior driver E Barron advised she did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding due to having the field covered.
WHANGAMATA - hung inwards rounding the bends. Weakened rounding the final bend.
HELLUVA WAY - trotted roughly into the first bend before breaking.
STAY ABOARD - broke at the start losing all chance.
KIWI HEIR - broke entering the first bend and broke again passing the 2300 metres.
APOLLO MISSION - weakened from the 1600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, driver A Armour could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
LARCH - slow to begin and trotted roughly in the early stages. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend then broke entering the home straight.
ZONED SCARLETT - broke passing the 400 metres. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking passing the 400 metres.
Race 2   PGG WRIGHTSON LIVESTOCK FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
ALLABOUTJOY - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
YOHA - baulked late in the score-up checking an outside runner necessitating a false start be declared. Driver B Orange elected to remain in his allotted position for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
VICTORIA CALLING - over-raced in the middle stages. Lay inwards on various occasions in the home straight.
PRETTY AZZ - lay inwards shortly after the start.
MISS AUCKLAND - paced roughly when improving rounding the final bend. Driver C Ferguson reported the filly had been striking a knee and hanging outwards throughout.
SHEZDAWON - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight. Driver B Williamson reported that due to this he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the mare.
Race 3   WALKER MURDOCH LAW LTD PACE
ROCKNGOODTIME- paced roughly entering the first bend.
LOISSONYA - broke at the start.
JOHNNY SPEIGHT - the Boring Pole was removed prior to the start due to the gelding warming up unfavourably. Broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
INDULGENCE - broke shortly after the start and then attempted to buck. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
HOLD THUMBS - paced roughly at the start. Broke after 100 metres when hampered by a breaking runner losing all chance.
BUB'S VC - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
PAYMENT PLAN - lay inwards over the concluding stages with driver C Ferguson having to take corrective action.
BLIND SPOT - paced roughly and weakened from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 4   GJ GARDNER HOMES MOBILE PACE
MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR - weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no tangible explanation.
PEMBROOK PLAYBOY - raced greenly when leading through the middle stages.
KRAMER - raced wide in the early stages.
RACING MINISTER - paced roughly late in the score-up and was back slightly at the start.
HOKURI PLATTER - hung outwards rounding the first bend.
HANS IDEAL - over-raced rounding the first bend when being restrained to obtain cover.
UNDERCOVER MAC - paced roughly when being shifted wider on the track near the 300 metres.
TARGARYEN - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
SCHNITZEL VON KRUMM - held up in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
Race 5   ULTIMATE MACHETE AT ALABAR HANDICAP PACE
IDEAL DRAW - driver T Williams reported the gelding had hung outwards throughout the running.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - broke at the start. Hung inwards and weakened from the 500 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
ROBYNS PLAYBOY - co-trainers R & C Wilson were issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 when presenting this runner with the incorrect number.
UNLOADED - broke at the start.
Race 6   ADVANCE AGRICULTURE HANDICAP TROT
RYDGEMONT SON - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SIOUX PRINCESS - raced greenly when leading passing the 1800 metres checking trailing runners, before breaking shortly after. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SPOTLIGHT THE VALLEY - checked and broke passing the 1800 metres.
RYDGEMONT MILLY - checked near the 1800 metres and locked wheels with KING CASSIDY.
IMRAN KHAN - checked near the 1800 metres.
KING CASSIDY - checked near the 1800 metres and locked wheels with RYDGEMONT MILLY. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
PICKETTS RIDGE - checked near the 1800 metres.
WEE MAN TROUBLE - broke near the 1850 metres. Held up rounding the final bend.

Race 7   KUBALA SEEDS MOBILE PACE
EDIE JACCKA - held up by a tiring runner and raced inside track markers leaving the final bend. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 869(7B) against 2nd placing being awarded, alleging this runner gained an advantage when racing inside track markers leaving the final bend, thereby receiving a run to which it was not entitled. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards, driver B Barclay and trainer B Gray, the JCA dismissed the Protest. Driver B Barclay was warned pursuant to Rule 869(7A)(b) for allowing his sulky to protrude inside track markers.
SHINDAL - broke in the score-up checking second line runners. Driver A Armour elected to remain in his allotted position for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MATINEE IDOL - over-raced in the early stages. Hung inwards rounding the final bend.
DREAMINSOVER - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
STAR RULER - weakened leaving the final bend.
MOTORING MAJOR - held up rounding the final bend and for the majority of the home straight.
SWIFT ROBYN - held up exiting the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.

There was a delay to the start of this event due to the Protest in the previous race.
TACT DENZEL - held up exiting the final bend.
VERGEOFGREATNESS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of junior driver E Barron. Checked by a breaking runner in the early stages. Held up leaving the final bend.
DALNESS ARIZONA - lay inwards rounding the final bend.
LITE PERCUSSION - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WILLISON - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Ottley. Over-raced in the middle stages.
DEUS EX - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CARLOS BROMAC - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Williams.

THRO ME THE BUOY - paced roughly on various occasions throughout the running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
