Race 1 - FAT SALLY'S PUB & RESTAURANT TROT
Trainer B White advised Stewards on 25 September that DUDES STAR has been treated for hock soreness and will have a brief freshener prior to resuming.
Race 4 - PICK & SHOVEL WINE HANDICAP PACE
Trainer D Paterson advised Stewards on 24 September that LINTON SHARD failed to handle the track at Oamaru on Sunday and was striking a knee. Mr Paterson added that the gelding has recovered well since that run and will continue with its current preparation.
Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 25 September that blood tests taken from GOD ONLY KNOWS revealed no abnormalities adding that the gelding would have a brief freshener before resuming.
Race 6 - ONE SMART COFFEE JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
Trainer B Negus advised Stewards on 27 September that following this race SENORITA MARGARITA was found to have bruised heels and that alterations had been made to the mare's shoeing. Mr Negus added that an improved performance was expected on a grass track.

Race 1   COMMODORE AIRPORT HOTEL MOBILE PACE
PAY ME SMART - had difficulty maintaining its barrier position until the start point.
WOODLEA DIEGO - lay inwards under pressure leaving the final bend and made contact with several track markers.
MR CLOONEY - raced roughly throughout the score up and was out of position at the start. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home and made contact with several track markers.
MAKE BELIEVE - had difficulty maintaining its barrier position until the start point.
GILLIGANS ISLAND - pre-race warmed. Lay outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Raced greenly between the 1000 metres and the 900 metres when shifting around the field causing driver R May some difficulty. Driver R May reported he had not been able to release the colt's deafeners due to the cord breaking.
MANLY OLSEN - raced roughly in the score up and as a result was out of position at the start.
Race 2   PEEK EXHIBITION TROT
MISS MOPPET - a woollen blind was removed prior to the start. Lay inwards on the final bend and made contact with several track markers.
FAITH NO MORE - broke at the start and lost its chance.
SHPEEDY - broke shortly after the start. Over-raced through the middle stages.
LISA MARIE P - raced wide early stages.
ONE NIGHT OUT - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, trainer/driver B Weaver reported the gelding had been better suited to tonight's drop back in class and had appreciated a return to standing start racing. He added that his horse had also derived benefit from the application of sliding blinds.
PRINCE TEKA - held up on the final bend.
JAW D NANCY - broke near the 1100 metres. Again broke approaching the 900 metres. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion.
SIOUX PRINCESS - broke with 2000 metres to run. Trotted roughly passing the 1400 metres.
RACHMANINOV - raced wide from the 1000 metres.
CHASING GREAT - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke with 900 metres to run.
Race 3   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MET MEGA SERIES MOBILE PACE
DEANNE PANYA - paced roughly when being restrained in the early stages. Weakened in the home straight.
DON'T TELL ANGE - raced wide from the 900 metres.
VERA STANHOPE - raced wide early stages. Over-raced through the middle stages. Weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
HELD TO RANSOM - hung outwards through the back straight on the final occasion. Raced roughly near the 350 metres and had to be steadied.
FINE BY ME - hung inwards and struck track markers around the first bend.
Race 4   HYDROFLOW HANDICAP TROT
MILLY AN EYRE - broke entering the first bend.
DON'T LOOK BACK - held up on the final bend.
BLINK N BONES - broke with 200 metres to run.
DESPERATEANDANGEROUS - broke at the start losing its chance.
EASY PICKINGS - trotted roughly in the home straight before breaking with 20 metres to run. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations and was not lapped on at the finish.
ANOTHER CHAPTER - held up with 400 metres to run by a weakening runner.
MONRIKA - raced intractably through the early stages when being restrained. Broke briefly after making contact with the sulky wheel of MARIA TSARINA despite the attempt from driver S McNally to prevent this.
ESCARGO - raced wide but with cover between the 1000 metres and the 800 metres at which point the mare was taken to a four wide position. From this point on the horse weakened and then compounded over the final stages to be distanced at the finishing line. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver S Ottley advised she was disappointed with the performance and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some nasal discharge, an elevated heart rate and a poor recovery. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance. Trainer K Townley reported it was his intention to have the mare further examined in the coming days and Stewards will follow up any findings.
JERRY GARCIA - raced wide from the 1400 metres.
MARIA TSARINA - weakened from the 500 metres. Driver B Butt advised Stewards that he was disappointed with the mare's performance with a post-race veterinary examination revealing a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
Race 5   SPECTATORS BIRTHDAY SHOUT - 13 OCTOBER MOBILE PACE
FRANKIE D - lay outwards through the score up and was out of position at the start.
DELIGHTFUL TANNER - out of position at the start. When questioned, driver K Cox explained the mare had been striking a knee and racing roughly. A warning was placed on the horse's barrier record. Held up in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
BEAU VISTA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
Race 6   GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS LTD SHOWDAY FUTURITY PRELUDE MOB PACE
VALIANT CHARGER - lay inwards when weakening on the final bend striking track markers.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - held up on the final bend and raced roughly when becoming awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of another runner near the 200 metres.
PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM - badly held up between the 600 metres and the 200 metres. Driver R May was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after driving with his foot free of the sulky footrest in the home straight.
SKREEMR - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. The all clear was delayed until driver M Wiliamson was able to review the films of the score up regarding possible interference causing his mare to gallop. After viewing the footage no further action was taken other than to place a warning on the barrier record of the mare.
SAM'S TOWN - raced roughly for a stride near the 1800 metres when challenging for the lead. Lay inwards on the bends in the middle stages.
BETTOR GETTA LOVER - became awkwardly positioned when held up on the final bend.
SILK - weakened in the home straight. When questioned regarding the performance, driver R Holmes reported the mare to have been disappointing over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse with the connections in the coming days.
Race 7   AIRPARK CANTERBURY HANDICAP TROT
LONE STAR LAD - lay inwards when under pressure through the final straight.
MISSIE CASTLETON - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
THE PLAYER - trotted roughly throughout the final straight and was not able to be pressured by driver J Dunn. Briefly disappointed for clear racing room near the 100 metres when runners either side shifted ground. Driver J Dunn was questioned regarding the performance and the reason he did not utilise the passing lane in the home straight. Mr Dunn advised that the gelding had not been suited to the sit-sprint tempo of the race and would prove more competitive in a truly run race. He added that his horse had been hanging during the running and he had not been able to steer the horse inwards to take the lane because of this. Stewards accepted Mr Dunn's explanation.
MADELEINE STOWE - driver R Holmes was spoken to regarding allowing his mare to start wider than her drawn barrier position. Hampered in the early stages by a breaking runner. Broke with 200 metres to run.
SUNDONS FLYER - over-raced middle stages.
RUTHLESS KAYLA - inconvenienced in the early stages by a breaking runner.
WOODSTONE - trotted roughly at the 400 metres. Broke with 50 metres to run.
Race 8   BLUE STAR TAXIS MOBILE PACE
DARK RAGE - broke at the start and shifted outwards hampering several runners. Will now be drawn unruly for mobile starts.
TYRON'S BIT OF LEMON - hampered in the early stages.
WILLISON - hampered in the early stages.
SOMEKINDAWONDERFUL - hampered in the early stages. Got its head up and raced keenly in the early stages. Ran outwards after being crossed near the 900 metres giving driver S Smith some difficulty.
DOCTOR TIM - well out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G O'Reilly. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Held up in the middle stages of the home straight.
LETTERKENNY BOY - out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of driver T Williams. Raced wide when improving with 600 metres to run.
MACHS MARETA - inconvenienced in the score up with a false start being declared.
ABOVE N BEYOND - a false start was declared when ABOVE N BEYOND refused to score up inconveniencing MACHS MARETA. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GIVEMEWHATINEED - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to surrender the parked position. Again over-raced in the middle stages. Driver R Holmes reported the gelding had raced fiercely throughout causing him difficulty and he had not been able to release the hopple shorteners in consequence.
Race 9   CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE
GLOBAL DOMINATION - weakened over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance, driver M Williamson explained he had been disappointed with the efforts of his gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the recovery of this gelding in the coming days.
HAYDEN'S MEDDLE - held up final bend and in the early stages of the home straight. Driver S Smith (assisted by G Smith) was spoken to regarding his use of the whip over the final stages.
SMARTER VC - out of position at the start. Driver A Cameron (assisted by M Purvis) was shown the films of the pre-race and cautioned for allowing her runner to take an extra circle when whistled up by the Starter.
Race 10   THE CROSSING FASHION STARTS HERE COMPETITION OPEN NOW PACE
AQUA SANCTA - began awkwardly and got back as a result.
KING OF HEROES - held up on the final bend.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - an Information was opened and adjourned alleging driver J Versteeg had used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations.
SISTER'S DELIGHT - held up in the middle stages of the home straight.
SHOT IN THE DARK - broke at the start.
CATHY BROWN - slow to begin.
WOODLEA EXPLORER - late scratching at 10.30am on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
