Race 1   ULTIMATE MACHETE AT ALABAR TENDER CLOSES SEPT 20 MOB PACE
HEY GOOD LOOKIN - raced roughly in the early stages.
DOWN THE HATCH - hung outward and was out of position at the start despite efforts of Driver D Butcher. When spoken to regarding the performance Trainer S Telfer reported the filly to have hung and raced roughly throughout, and expected she would derive considerable benefit from the experience.
COURTNEY JANE - raced wide early.
DEMIDEAL - raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear. Raced roughly on the final turn having to be restrained, losing ground in consequence.
Race 2   "THE HORSEY MCHORSEFACE PACE RACE" (MOBILE)
Prior to this event the track was downgraded to Good.
JUST WING IT - raced roughly when being driven forward in the early stages, eventually breaking near the 1200 metres losing its chance. Driver A Poutama was unable to offer any explanation for the gallop. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
DANCE TIME - raced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start.
Race 3   GRAND PARK MOBILE TROT
THE HULK - lay in under pressure on the final bend and struck several track markers.
C K SPUR - trotted roughly for a short distance near the 800 metres conceding several lengths on the body of the field.
MR GOOD AND EVIL - broke in the score up and lost its chance. A post race veterinary examination showed some lameness in the left front leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance.
Race 4   JACK MAICH MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
GODZILLER - weakened near the 300 metres and raced greenly shifting ground on several occasions.
HUGHIE JUNIOR - raced wide in the early stages.
OCEAN BEACH - out of position at the start. Driver P Ferguson was warned to maintain his position until dispatch in future.
JOHNSON STEP - slow to score up before racing greenly and was back a length at dispatch. Over-raced after being shifted down to the marker line near the 1100 metres. Lay inwards under pressure on the final bend and struck several track markers.
PRINCE OF PLEASURE - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier record.
MAC PAUA -broke in the score up and was some distance out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
Race 5   RAY PLANT 90TH BIRTHDAY MOBILE PACE
The first attempt at the start was abandoned in the early stages of the score up when MISTER SLICK got its back under the sulky shaft having to be assisted which caused a slight delay.
BETTOR SENSATION - broke entering the first turn losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing manners of the gelding.
MISTER SLICK - became fractious delaying the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
GO KIWI - raced wide in the early stages.
SIR TIGER - hampered shortly after the start by a breaking runner having to be steadied. Broke for some distance at the 1300 metres losing ground in consequence. A warning was placed on the colt's racing record.
THE LONE RANGER - raced wide from the 750 metres.
Race 6   BELMONT LINEN HIRE MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when M T POCKETS slipped its crupper during the score up and shifted outwards checking EXPRESS DELIGHT which broke.
ALL YOURS - raced three wide early.
THE PAUA DIVER - raced wide in the early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 800 metres.
HENRY HU - raced wide throughout.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS - pulled hard in the score up and then continued to race keenly when being restrained in the early stages.
FINAL DELIGHT - raced wide in the early stages.
M T POCKETS - raced fiercely in the score up and was back a length at dispatch.
EXPRESS DELIGHT - paced roughly near the 600 metres after being shifted to a four wide position .
LE GIRL - broke for a short distance near the 250 metres.
Race 7   MARCONEE SEAFOODS MOBILE PACE
NANELLE FRANCO - raced keenly when leading through the middle stages. Junior Driver L Whittaker was cautioned for allowing the mare to shift down into the passing lane in the early stages of the run home. Mr Whittaker advised that the mare had over raced after a sliding blind had activated prematurely through the early stages.
KOTARE CULLEN - raced wide in the early stages.
THE EMPRESS - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
Race 8   MCGREGOR BAILEY CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE TROT
MICHELLE - broke racing into the first bend losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record. Trainer M Jones advised it was his intention to relocate the horse to his Canterbury base.
KAY CEE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start by a considerable distance. Held up in the early stages of the run home, and raced over several track markers when disappointed for a run in the passing lane to the inside of MAGNAFIQUE which also shifted in.
MOLLY BONES - raced wide in the early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader approaching the 1000 metres.
GRENADO - broke in the early stages losing significant ground. Trotted roughly near the 500 metres.
Race 9   GRAND HARBOUR MOBILE PACE
SPARE CHANGE - lay outwards in the final straight.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - held up early for clear racing room until near the 100 metres.
RED TERROR - raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear. Driver B Butcher advised that the gelding had lay in badly down the back straight as it had done previously when driven in behind. Mr Butcher added that the gelding is better suited to racing left handed.
SIMON - unable to gain clear racing room throughout the final straight.
Race 10   STU BAILEY YOU LEDGE/LINCOLN RAMS ON TOUR MOBILE TROT
JUST RICKY - checked near the 300 metres.
TE KOUKA DAWN - over raced throughout. Broke near the 350 metres checking a trailing runner.
DUNITHARD - broke in the early stages losing its chance.
SUNNY PETITE - broke racing into the first bend losing its chance. Again broke near the 550 metres. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
PEANNIE - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
SHE REIGNS - lay inwards on the final bend and dislodged the final track marker prior to entering the passing lane.
THE URBAN SPACEMAN - broke near the 1050 metres losing considerable ground. Again broke near the 600 metres.
OUR SPITFIRE - broke in the score up losing its chance.
HIGHLAND QUEEN - broke racing into the bend losing its chance.
CHINSKI - driver S McCaffrey advised that he had been unable to release the deafeners due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in good order.
