Race 2 - BREEDERS THANK THE MET MOBILE PACE
Trainer P Kerr advised Stewards on 7 August that AROCKNATTHEPARK has had its knees injected following its performance at Addington on 2 August after soreness was detected subsequent to that race.
Race 4 - CHRISTINE & PHIL SMITH MOBILE PACE
Trainer M Kerr advised Stewards on 11 August that CHANGEAROUND has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 8 - ALABAR (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
After further considering the manner junior driver S Thornley used his whip when driving COPPERHEAD ROSE inside the final 400 metres, Stewards recommended to the HRNZ Board that Mr Thornley's Junior Horseman's licence be downgraded to Trials Horseman until the completion of further training and education. This recommendation was accepted by the Board and Mr Thornley's licence was downgraded with immediate effect.

Race 1   RANGIORA HARNESS CLUB COMMITTEE & STEWARDS TROT
BEST WISHES - hung inwards through the middle stages and in the run home.
DR CLIFF - trotted roughly at the start. Trotted roughly when leading early in the home straight and shifted outwards when under pressure.
WHO ME - weakened on the final bend.
IT WASN'T ME - broke in the early stages checking inside runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PASTRANA - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke. Weakened from the 600 metres.
SHEZA MIGHTY MONARCH - weakened from the 500 metres. Trainer M Fuller advised he was disappointed with the mare's effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
PALISADE - slow to begin.
KD HAWK - broke in the early stages. Broke again on several occasions during the running.
JAGUAR BAY - the required veterinary clearance was received. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. Co-trainer/driver P Wakelin advised the mare had failed to handle the track conditions today and will be sent for a spell.
Race 2   NORTH CANTERBURY TROTTING TRIALS/WORKOUTS AT RANGIORA PACE
Prior to this race the track was upgraded to easy.
DON'T TELL ANGE - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
RAFA NOVAK - paced roughly around the first bend.
FLY LIKA FALCON - broke at the start. Weakened from the 400 metres.
MATT DAMON - paced roughly when improving with 1200 metres to run.
KASTELL BRIANT - raced wide without cover from near the 1400 metres.
GLIDING PAST - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages. Weakened badly from the 600 metres. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial. Trainer/driver L Dobbs advised he would no longer be persevering with the mare from his stable.
PRAIRIE - broke briefly at the start.
Race 3   HORNBY WORKING MEN'S CLUB - CARD SECTION MOBILE TROT
DOLLY JONES - a false start was declared when DOLLY JONES broke in the score up interfering with the second line runner. Driver K Tomlinson elected to move to the unruly position for the re-start where the mare will remain for future mobile starts. Over-raced near the 600 metres and made contact with the wheel of GEENA'S GIRL.
RUSTY I AM - weakened from near the 500 metres. Co-trainer/driver P Wakelin reported that the gelding will be sent for a spell.
ALDEBARAN BONNY - trotted roughly over the concluding stages and broke just prior to the finish line when clear of the 5th placed runner. Driver C DeFilippi was unable to place the gelding under pressure in consequence. Trainer R Todd reported the gelding had lost the off fore shoe during the running.
GEENA'S GIRL - driver G O'Reilly advised he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 600 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres.
SHPEEDY - the notified blind was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably.
QUAESTOR - raced wide around the first bend. Held up on the final bend. Driver K Butt advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - raced wide entering the first bend. When questioned regarding the performance, trainer M Edmonds advised the gelding had worked too hard in the middle stages.
WITH ICE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Butt. Hung inwards when improving from the 800 metres and in the home straight.
Race 4   CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES 22ND DECEMBER 2019 MOBILE PACE
HE'S A LADIES MAN - over-raced in the early stages. Paced roughly near the 1300 metres when the hopple shorteners were released. Lay inwards in the run home.
FUN IN THE DARK - held up throughout the run home.
Race 5   FASHION IN THE FIELD AT RANGIORA HANDICAP TROT
REDWOOD INVASION - ran outwards racing into the first bend and again on the second lap when shying away from the Clerk of the Course who was positioned well back from the track.
TEHORO TEASE - weakened badly from the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had fibrillated. The connections were advised TEHORO TEASE has been stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to racing again.
RENEZMAE - reared at the start and was slow to begin as a result.
Race 6   NEXT MEETING (TWILIGHT) FRIDAY 8 NOVEMBER MOBILE PACE
BILLIE JEAN - hung outwards late in the score up and was slightly out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S McNally. Lay outwards at various stages during the running. Held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
SWEENEY TODD - over-raced through the middle stages.
MAGNATE MARA - the required veterinary clearance was received. Weakened from the 600 metres. Driver M Anderson reported the gelding had raced too keenly in the early and middle stages. Trainer M Purvis reported that the horse had bled from both nostrils on cooling down. A veterinary examination confirmed the gelding had bled and the horse was stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary clearance including a clear scope required prior to completing a satisfactory trial before resuming. Trainer M Purvis advised MAGNATE MARA would be retired as a racing proposition from his stable.
NIGHT SCHOOL - over-raced through the middle stages.
DYNAMO - paced roughly racing into the first bend.
THATS BETTOR - raced wide around the first bend.
MORDECAI - raced wide into the first bend.
BEAU VISTA - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 7   WARNER DONALD JUNIOR DRIVER MOBILE PACE
RAH DE RAH - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight. Driver K Tomlinson reported the overcheck had broken during the running. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously satisfactory condition.
ARCANO - weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
SNOW PRINTZ - held up by a weakening runner near the 600 metres.
AWESOME SPEED - broke near the 700 metres when placed in restricted racing room by THAT ALEXANDER GUY.
INVISIBLE GIRL - held up by a weakening runner near the 600 metres.
KING OF HEROES - raced wide around the first bend and locked wheels with RAGNARR.
MATTHEW EYRE - lay inwards and locked wheels with THAT ALEXANDER GUY for a distance near the 200 metres.
THAT ALEXANDER GUY - shifted inwards near the 700 metres placing AWESOME SPEED in restricted room which broke. Junior driver B Laughton, assisted by R May, admitted driving carelessly in this incident and after viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions, the JCA suspended Mr Laughton's Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 18 August 2019 (2 days). Locked wheels for a distance near the 200 metres with MATTHEW EYRE which lay inwards.
RAGNARR - broke on the first bend after locking wheels with KING OF HEROES. Junior driver C Jones admitted a charge under Rule 869(4) in that he failed to concede his position near the 2200 metres which resulted in his horse breaking and losing considerable ground. After submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
Race 8   MARK MCNAMARA 10 YRS OF RACE CALLING AT RANGIORA MOBILE PACE
SWEET LORESS - held up on the final bend.
IDEAL RULE - over-raced when being restrained on the first bend.
THE MAROON MARAUDER - lay outwards around the first bend.
FLAMBOYANT - raced wide around the first bend.
SMARTER VC - held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 9   RJ DUNN PLOUGH HOTEL TRAINER OF THE YEAR MOB PACE
BONNY'S GEM - raced wide into the first bend. Broke briefly after striking the wheel of PRECOCIOUS MEGAN near the 1400 metres after an easing of the pace. Junior driver A Cameron was spoken to advisedly regarding being more mindful when shifting ground.
LE TISSIER - driver R Holmes reported he carried a flat tyre from the 400 metres.
DONEGAL DAVY BOYD - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.46am. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
NIGHT LIGHTS - raced wide into the first bend.
POCKET WATCH - An Information was lodged alleging that driver M Anderson was in breach of the Push Out Rule after he shifted outwards near the 1100 metres forcing MRS WASHINGTON to race wider on the track. This matter was adjourned until the NZ Metropolitan TC's meeting on 16 August 2019.
MRS WASHINGTON - forced to race wider on the track near the 1100 metres when POCKET WATCH shifted outwards.
KENNEDY - raced wide into the first bend.
