Race 1   IRT MOBILE PACE
BLACK COFFEE - driver R Downey was questioned in regard to his drive after the finishing line when his gelding was observed to shift ground outward making contact with HUGHIE JUNIOR (J Dickie). Mr Dickie was questioned and stated that his horse lay in shortly after the finishing line contributing to the incident. Mr Downey was reminded of his obligations and he was also spoken to in regard to the manner he conducted himself in the initial stages of the inquiry.
MIGHTY LOOEE - shifted out when rounding the final turn when leading. Shifted in passing the 200 metres when Driver P Ferguson activated the deafeners and had to be corrected. Mr Ferguson was shown the replay of his drive inside the final 300 metres and spoken to advisedly in regard to not allowing his horse to shift out off the marker line.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - inclined to lay in on at various stages. Weakened final turn.
Race 2   WHAT THE HILL AT WOODLANDS STUD TROT (STAND)
CREAMEE - broke near the 1,300 metres losing it's chance.
PEANNIE - broke entering the first turn and settled at the rear.
PRINCE GEORGE - over-raced middle stages when midfield on the inner.
INVICTUS - broke shortly after the start losing it's chance.
ALTA VENETIA - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Raced three wide early.
Race 3   BRECKON FARMS MOBILE PACE
FERRITTS SISTER - a rein burr came adrift inside the 1,200 metres and then fell to the track. Paced unevenly on numerous occasions throughout the race. Driver N Chilcott advised the mare had thrown its off-fore shoe at the start. Ms Chilcott was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100.00 for failing to affix the rein burr so as not to come adrift. When questioned regarding the performance Ms Chilcott advised that the mare had paced well over the early stages before she activated the hopple shorteners near the 1,200 metres, with FERRITTS SISTER then pacing roughly for the remainder of the event. She further stated that she would be having the mare fully vetted in the coming days and will advise Stewards should anything untoward surface.
THE STUNNING NUN - broke inside the 1,400 metres settling at the rear. Dislodged a marker peg rounding the final turn when improving to the inside of FERRITTS SISTER which lay in. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
Race 4   THE 2019 'ARABIAN NIGHT STAKES' MOBILE TROT
ALL AMERICAN - broke passing the 150 metres and failed to settle. A Protest was lodged against this gelding's 3rd placing on the grounds that it broke in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres. The Protest was not contested and ALL AMERICAN was disqualified by the JCA.
CANSKYFLY - broke in the score up but was able to regain it's position prior to dispatch. Broke passing the 1,400 metres losing it's chance.
Race 5   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE AT WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
TWO FIFTYEIGHT - raced outside the leader throughout before weakening over the final stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
SPIRIT OF ANZAC - held up early final turn.
Race 6   DUBAI RACING CHANNEL MOBILE PACE
THE BULL PEN - paced roughly near the 1,400 metres which enabled IMAJOLLYWALLY to shift down to trail the leader DELIGHTFUL MAJOR.
Race 7   HR FISKEN & SONS MOBILE TROT
MICHELLE - locked wheels briefly with MATUA TANA rounding the final turn.
AS FREE AS AIR - broke at the start losing it's chance.
KAY CEE - trotted roughly over the latter stages of the run home and could not be driven out finishing in 2nd place. When questioned Driver Z Butcher confirmed that he had been unable to place the gelding under any pressure over the latter stages of the run home due to it trotting roughly.
TAKENOPRISONERS - raced three wide early.
GEORGE - restrained early and the lost contact with the body of the field. Broke passing the 150 metres when towards the rear.
CAPELLI - broke passing the 1,400 metres losing it's chance.
ASTOUND - broke passing the 1,400 metres losing it's chance.
KRATOS - over-raced down the back straight the final time when trailing on the outer.
HEARD THE WHISPER - broke in the score up losing all chance.
MATUA TANA - locked wheels briefly with MICHELLE rounding the final turn and trotted roughly for several strides.
Race 8   LINCOLN FARMS MOBILE PACE
IN MY SHADOW - raced three wide without cover throughout before weakening on the final turn. Trainers D & C McGowan where charged a $25.00 colour fee.
RUBENS - raced three wide with cover throughout.
MEGASTAR - held up early final turn.
Race 9   STEINLAGER TOKYO DRY MOBILE PACE
I'M JIMMY JAMES - beaten for early gate speed. Lay in and raced over several marker pegs rounding the first turn when three back on the inner. Only battled in the run home to finish in 6th place beaten 5.3 lengths. Trainer/Driver J Cox advised that the gelding had hung throughout and that he felt that recent racing may have taken its toll so it was his intention to turn the gelding out for a spell. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
BETTER THAN MOST - paced roughly shortly after the start and for some distance early. Weakened final stages.
SPIRIT OF LOVE - weakened final stages.
LE GIRL - driver K Marshall reported that he had not activated the deafeners due to having the field covered.
CARRERA SKY - inconvenienced briefly shortly after the start.
Race 10   AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 MOBILE PACE
SABREUR - held up early final turn and then had some difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the home straight.
MAC PAUA - broke in the early stages of the score up but regained its unruly position prior to dispatch.
