BE BEE LASS - broke after 150 metres losing all chance.
SOLSBURY HILL - broke near the 2300 metres losing all chance.
THE NIGHT SWEATS - broke shortly after the start and continued in a break for a considerable distance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Hung inwards final bend. Stewards lodged a Protest under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations alleging the mare had broken in excess of 150 metres in the early stages. After viewing replays and hearing from Stewards and stable representative C Thornley, the JCA upheld the Protest and THE NIGHT SWEATS was disqualified from 4th placing.
ITS ALF - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of Trainer D Simpson.
KEN'S DREAM - trotted roughly through the middle stages.
WHANGAMATA - hung inwards in the home straight and briefly locked wheels with COSMIC SUN near the 100 metres.
COSMIC SUN - trotted roughly and weakened from the 500 metres. Briefly locked wheels with WHANGAMATA near the 100 metres.
DEM BONES DEM BONES - broke near the 2400 metres losing all chance.
Race 2   LETTY FERGUSON FILLIES & MARES MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
IWANADANCEWITSUMBODY - over-raced through the middle stages. Paced roughly near the 800 metres when becoming awkwardly placed near the sulky of LYDIA.
SADHANA - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
MISS PADDY WAGON - weakened leaving the final bend. Driver B Williamson reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre on the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, Trainer/Driver B Williamson advised that filly was racing up in grade and had worked hard in the early stages to obtain the lead however he was disappointed with the effort.
BETTERTHANBRIE - Driver K Barclay admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mrs Barclay's Licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 10 August 2019 (3 days).
Race 3   COLIN KEEN / BOB HOLMES MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
PLAY BY EAR - briefly placed in restricted room near the 100 metres.
CLIFTON JESSIE - broke in the score up checking trailing runners with a false start being declared. Sent to the unruly for the restart. Broke again in the score up at the second attempt and was back several lengths at the start. This filly will now be drawn unruly for future mobile starts.
JAMIES BAD BOY - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend and broke briefly after being contacted by THE NAENAE EXPRESS. Held up for clear racing room rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
THE NAENAE EXPRESS - raced greenly and hung inwards in the early stages despite the efforts of Driver T Williams and made contact with JAMIES BAD BOY. Weakened final bend.
ALL MONEY - hung inwards early stages.
EXTREME ROBYN - held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight. Returned to the stabling area lame in the near fore leg. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the filly had a suspected fractured pedal bone. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance.
IDEAL ASSET - hung inwards in the home straight.
WECANDREAM - broke the boring pole in the score up at the first attempt. Paced roughly final bend and in the home straight.
SMOKIN ANNIE - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
LEI MISS - hung outwards in the home straight.
OLD LUKE - broke in the early stages of the score up at the second attempt and was back several lengths from the unruly at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
Race 4   RODNEY MOORE MEMORIAL HANDICAP PACE
MATINEE IDOL - held up on the final bend.
HIS ROYAL HARNESS - held up on the final bend.
POCKET CALL - hung inwards on the bend near the 1900 metres when being shifted wider on the track. Driver B Williamson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $300 by the JCA.
BILLY KLONDIKE - weakened final bend and struck pylons.
DREAMINSOVER - broke at the start losing ground. Held up on the final bend.
G T REACTOR - broke at the start losing ground.
MR HANDLEMAN - pre-race warmed.

SUPREME LINCOLN - broke at the start. Over-raced middle stages.
MYSISTERSAPOLEDANCER - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly in the home straight.
ABSOLUT RUSSIAN - broke at the start. Driver M Williamson reported that he dropped his whip near the 300 metres.
TACT DENZEL - broke at the start losing ground.
SHEZDAWON - raced wide without cover in the early stages. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
BALDOON - Permission was granted for the gelding to race without removable deafeners after they were unable to be secured prior to the start.
INDULGENCE - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages.
LEAP OF FAITH - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages.
WINSOMECHANGE - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages. Over-raced for a distance passing the 1250 metres.
Race 6   LORRAINE & FERGUS MATHIESON MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
AYUTTHAYA - broke near the 1650 metres.
BEST OF THE BUNCH - broke at the start. Broke again on several occasions. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ANOTHERSUPERSTAR - Driver B Laughton reported the mare had trotted roughly throughout the home straight.
DUSKY EYRE - trotted roughly middle stages. Hung inwards on the final bend and again trotted roughly.
SPOTLIGHT THE VALLEY - weakened from the 550 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
CLIFDEN CLOWERS - paced and broke after 150 metres. Returned to the stabling area lame in the off front leg. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a suspected fractured pedal bone. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance.
THAT'S THE STORY - hampered by a breaking runner after 150 metres.
KING CASSIDY - hampered by a breaking runner after 150 metres and broke.
Race 7   VIV ANNGOW MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
ALEXY - Driver T Chmiel was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for driving with his foot out of the sulky footrest near the 250 metres.
KANSAS CITY JIM - raced wide in the early stages. Driver R McIlwrick was spoken to advisedly for the manner he drove near the 600 metres when becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of the weakening AVEROSS RUSTLER.
PAUL'S VERDICT - checked by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
NO MORE CHANGE - checked by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - weakened from the 800 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver J Morrison could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards placed a warning on the racing performance of the gelding.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - over-raced middle stages. Held up leaving the final bend. Driver D O'Connell defended a charge of Rule 869(2) and the Use of Whip Regulations Clause (i) in that he used his whip near the 100 metres with the handle end pointed forwards. After viewing the replays and hearing from Stewards and Mr O'Connell, the JCA upheld the charge and Mr O'Connell was fined $100.
FLAMING JIM - over-raced early stages. Broke near the 500 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 8   DON CUTTANCE MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
DISMARA - struck a pylon leaving the final bend. Driver M Hurrell was issued with a warning.
SHINDAL - hung inwards final bend. Over-raced middle stages.
CLIFTON TACTIC - over-raced early stages when racing wide on the track and was restrained to the rear of the field.
GLACIER COASTER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
THE RED ROBBER - shifted outwards near the 1600 metres when leading.
CARLO GAMBINO - Driver B McLellan was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for being out of position at the start.
REBEL WITH A GRIN - held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
