FLYIN MILLY MAC - weakened from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver J Curtin advised that in his opinion the mare may have tied up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed muscle soreness over the back. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days. | |
IDEAL RULE - held up by a weakening runner final bend. | |
NANELLE FRANCO - over-raced early and middle stages. | |
LA BELLA VITA - broke near the 1300 metres when being shifted inwards by IDEAL RULE. After questioning drivers K Butt (IDEAL RULE) and B Weaver, Stewards issued B Weaver with a charge alleging he had driven carelessly in this incident when failing to concede his position. Mr Weaver admitted the breach and after submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $300. |

The connections did not contest the protest and ROCKNROLL KING was disqualified from 3rd placing by the JCA. | |
