Race 1   SILVERSTREAM TROT
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
TEARS OF JOY - broke near the 2200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
FAST WET N WINDEE - weakened on the final bend.
FOLLY'S TROUBLE - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by breaking runner on the first bend.
SIERRA GOLD - broke shortly after the start.
DR CLIFF - broke shortly after the start. Will now be drawn unruly for standing starts. Broke near the 2100 metres. Broke again near the 400 metres. Driver B Butt reported that the gelding had been striking the sulky wheels throughout.
BOYZ INVASION - broke shortly after the start.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - broke shortly after the start. Over-raced in the middle stages.
BREAK FREE - hampered on the first bend by a breaking runner. Hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
Race 2   LEITHFIELD PACE
CHRISTIAN COMMAND - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
MISS BEHAVIN - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
MEGAROCK - weakened from the 600 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver C Thornley advised the gelding had raced very greenly and he would be recommending gear changes be made prior to its next start.
JESSIE KELLY - weakened on the final bend.
ONLY IN AMERICA - broke at the start. Lay inwards through the run home.
CHAMPERS - hung inwards throughout the final straight.
Race 3   WOODEND TROT
RUSTY I AM - when questioned regarding the improved performance, co-trainer/driver P Wakelin advised that the gelding had appreciated the shorter distance of today's race and had received a favourable run throughout.
TOPNOTCH EAGLE - broke near the 1100 metres. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial.
RED HARBOUR - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ALDEBARAN BONNY - broke near the 900 metres. Shifted inwards in the home straight contacting track markers. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial. Co-trainer/driver C DeFilippi advised that the gelding will be relocated from his stable.
TOPNOTCH TITAN - broke at the start. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial.
Race 4   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS NZ JUNIOR DRIVERS CHAMPS (H3) MOB PACE
MAGNATE MARA - gave ground from the 1000 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver S Tomlinson advised that the gelding had raced lethargically from the 1200 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
RIPSNORTER - shifted inwards shortly after the start placing the improving IMMORTAL CHANGE in restricted room. Driver D Ferguson (assisted by C DeFilippi) was shown the films and advised to exercise care when shifting ground.
MY NIKAYLA - out of position at the start.
SCOTLYNN HARRY - out of position at the start. Driver F Schumacher was issued with a warning.
EJA PATRON - raced roughly late in the score up and was out of position at the start.
DONEGAL CARNBOUY - out of position at the start. Driver C Smith was issued with a warning. Weakened final bend.
DYNAMO - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
IMMORTAL CHANGE - trainer M Jones was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the mare was presented with sliding blinds which had not been notified. Had to be restrained shortly after the start when attempting to improve between runners and became awkwardly placed close to the wheel of RIPSNORTER. Driver L Whittaker (assisted by M Jones) was shown the films and spoken to advisedly to take greater care when attempting a marginal run.
Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 9 July that a subsequent veterinary examination of MAGNATE MARA revealed that the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Mr Purvis was advised that a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG which is required to take place after strenuous exercise is required before the horse resumes racing.
Race 5   ASHLEY MOBILE PACE
FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - over raced middle stages. Held up final bend and lay inwards in the run home making contact with several track markers.
OFFICIALDON - the required veterinary clearance was received. Hung outwards leaving the final bend. Weakened considerably from the 300 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the gelding's effort. Trainer R Todd advised that it was his intention to target shorter distance races and have the horse driven with a sit if circumstances permit. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ROCKNROLL KING - over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly passing the 600 metres and again on the final bend.
ROZZANO - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 6   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS NZ JUNIOR DRIVERS CHAMPS (H4) PACE
KING OF HEROES - over-raced passing the 1700 metres.
SWEENEY TODD - broke at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Shifted up the track in the early stages of the run home when under pressure. Driver D Ferguson was warned to make a greater effort to prevent his runner from shifting outwards.
BAKARI - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up early stages of the run home. Lay inwards in the run home.
PINE CONE - over-raced middle stages. Dictated wider in the early stages of the run home.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS - tangled away.
KATIE DALY - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
ZULU COURAGE - dictated wider in the early stages of the run home.
JR FULHAM - weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver K Butt advised the gelding had been unsuited to racing in the parked position throughout.
Race 7   BALCAIRN MOBILE PACE
HE'S A LADIES MAN - out of position at the start. Driver R Heads was issued with a warning. Held up final bend and again over the concluding stages.
CHRISTIAN WHO - weakened final bend.
BIRD OF PARADISE - hung outwards in the score up and was slightly out of position at the start when placed in restricted room by AROCKNATTHEPARK which lay inwards.
AROCKNATTHEPARK - lay inwards late in the score up resulting in BIRD OF PARADISE being slightly out of position at the start.
PROVISEUR - weakened final bend.
Race 8   RANGIORA FILLIES & MARES HANDICAP TROT
ANOTHERSUPERSTAR - weakened over the final stages. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Laughton advised the mare had trotted roughly from the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
MAUDARCHY - held up final bend.
I'LDOITMYWAY - weakened and hung inwards from the 600 metres.
ANOTHER CHAPTER - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.

STETSON - held up by a tiring runner passing the 500 metres.
LE TISSIER - weakened from the 500 metres.
FLEETMASTER - over-raced early stages.
MINNELLI SMILE - raced wide from near the 1600 metres.
LEI MISS - over-raced middle stages.
ALREADY GONE - slightly out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. Raced wide into the first bend.

TAUMALOLO - over-raced middle stages.
CHANGEAROUND - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Shifted inwards over the concluding stages. Driver M Anderson was warned to ensure he leaves full access to the passing lane for trailing runners.
