The connections of FRANCESCA CUMANI advised Stewards on 28 June that blood tests taken from the mare revealed some slight abnormalities adding that she will now have a brief freshen up.

The connections of CHRISTIAN COMMAND advised Stewards on 28 June that contrary to prior advice the gelding will continue with its current preparation.

Race 1   NIGHT 'N DAY PARK (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
I'M SICK OF EXCUSES - hung inwards in the home straight.
DYNAMO - over-raced in the middle stages.
SHEEZUS - broke on the first bend losing its chance.
MELTON REACTOR - raced wide on the first bend.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - out of position at the start. Driver M Maynard was shown the films and warned to maintain his position until dispatch. Hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend. Following this event FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ was claimed.
LINTON SHARD - trainer M Anderson was charged a $25 colour fee. Raced wide on the first bend.
Race 2   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES TROT
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS - broke at the start.
FOLLY'S TROUBLE - broke at the start.
PETULA CLARK - broke in the early stages.
KEN'S DREAM - weakened considerably in the final 200 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MAJESTIC ROSE - broke near the 2000 metres.
BOYZ INVASION - raced wide into the first bend.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - broke in the early stages. Over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 3   MORE FM PACE
THE DANISH GIRL - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
MALDITO - raced wide in the early stages.
KENNEDY - broke at the start.
CATHY BROWN - raced wide around the first bend.
MY NIGHT SKY - driver G Telfer was warned for shifting ground near the 400 metres causing outside runner to race in restricted room.
MYSISTERSAPOLEDANCER - broke at the start. Raced roughly for a few strides near the 400 metres when placed in restricted racing room when runners either side shifted ground. Driver B Laughton reported that the gelding had hung outwards during the running.
Race 4   NEVELE R STUD PACE
FLYINGMASTERWILLIAMS - broke at the start.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - held up early stages of the run home.
DONEGAL GILBERT - broke at the start. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
SHINDAL - broke at the start losing its chance.
FLAMBOYANT - held up on the final bend.
SECRET BET - driver T Chmiel's foot slipped from the sulky rest for a short distance over the final stages before being returned.
VULCAN STAR(AUS) - weakened over the final stages after racing in the parked position.
RAKAGEM - broke briefly at the start. Hung inwards and struck track markers on the first bend.
Race 5   THE TWO NOELS AT TIMARU HANDICAP TROT
FRANCO JOSIAH - slow to begin.
RED HARBOUR - broke racing into the first bend.
I'LDOITMYWAY - broke with 2100 metres to run losing its chance.
MIDNIGHT ASSASSIN - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up on the final bend.
MAUDARCHY - raced wide into the first bend. Hampered by a breaking runner before breaking and losing ground near the 2300 metres. Broke again near the 1000 metres.
Race 6   LASER ELECTRICAL - TIMARU MOBILE PACE
ALREADY GONE - checked and broke shortly after the finish line.
BEAUDIENE OVERTAKE - over-raced in the parked position in the middle stages. Paced roughly when being restrained passing the 1300 metres. Driver K Newman (assisted by R May) was shown the films and warned for allowing his runner to shift inwards abruptly after the finish line checking ALREADY GONE.
MILA KUNIS - over-raced throughout. Driver G Smith reported that the filly had been striking the sulky wheels throughout.
GOTTAGETTABEER - hung inwards throughout the home straight.
DEJA BLUE - held up on the final bend and throughout the run home. Driver T Chmiel reported the deafeners had not been released in consequence.
Race 7   SOUTHFUELS LTD TIMARU WINTER CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
LEADING THE WAY - held up on the final bend.
THE KAIK - broke at the start.
SHADOW MINISTER - broke in the early stages. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
PAUL'S VERDICT - broke briefly at the start.
IVANA LEGACY - shifted inwards near the 150 metres. Driver M Williamson reported that the mare had been striking its sulky wheels.
Race 8   BROSNAN TRANSPORT PASSING LANE MOBILE PACE
VIGOROSO - over-raced in the middle stages when racing in the parked position and despite the efforts of driver M Hurrell was not able to surrender that position to the improving BIRD OF PARADISE.
KANSAS CITY JIM - held up on the final bend by a weakening runner and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
BORN TO RUN - raced wide into the first bend.
ROYAL JESTER - held up on the final bend.
BIRD OF PARADISE - raced wide and without cover from the 1400 metres. Hung inwards passing the 600 metres and weakened soon after.
