A BETTER DANCER - unable to maintain its position in the score up and was back at the start despite the efforts of Driver L Neal, inconveniencing PHILLYDOTCOM. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Raced back in midfield before improving three wide with cover from the 700m, but failed to run on finishing in 9th place beaten 16.5 lengths. Co-trainer / Driver L Neal advised she was disappointed with the gelding's performance. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. | |
ARTY PHARTY - lay in during the score up and was back at the start despite the efforts of Driver M White. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Raced wide in the early stages. Raced wide from the 1400m without cover when unable to obtain the position outside the leader which was being held by CARRERA SKY. | |
PHILLYDOTCOM - inconvenienced in the score up. Gave ground from the 600m. A warning was placed on the mare's racing performance. Trainer B Towers advised that PHILLYDOTCOM would be retired. |

ANAM NUNU - raced three wide for the first 600m before crossing to race outside the leader. Under pressure on the final turn and weakened out to finish at the rear in 8th place, beaten 22 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance, Driver A Poutama stated that he had been required to nurse the filly over the early stages due to it pacing roughly before disappointing when asked for an effort leaving the back straight a final time. A post race veterinary revealed no abnormalities. | |
J BEE - was awkwardly placed to the wheel of ANAM NUNU and had to be steadied near the 300m. | |
LIBERAL ARDEN - lay inwards under pressure rounding the final bend. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer A Donnelly advised the gelding would be spelled. |
