Driver A Beck (IDEAL BREEZE) was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to fasten his chin strap during the race.

Race 1   RICOH MOBILE TROT
ITS ALF - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the request of Trainer D Simpson.
WINNING BONES - broke near the 300 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
AYUTTHAYA - trotted roughly in the score up and through the early stages.
BE BEE LASS - trotted roughly in the score up. Hampered by breaking runner near the 900 metres with Driver C Buchan being unbalanced in his sulky.
PIPER MOSS - trotted roughly in the score up. Broke passing the 900 metres and shifted outwards making contact with the sulky of BE BEE LASS.
Race 2   DUNEDIN CITY MOTORS MOBILE PACE
MISS PADDY WAGON - hung outwards throughout the home straight and came together with HURRIKANE POKER over the concluding stages.
WOMAN IN CHARGE - broke late in the score up before settling shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier record. Over-raced middle stages. Raced wide without cover from the 700 metres before weakening leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance Junior Driver M Hurrell advised the mare may be better suited when driven for one run.
HURRIKANE POKER - came together with MISS PADDY WAGON over the concluding stages.
SMOKIN ANNIE - held up late in the run home.
WECANDREAM - hung inwards and paced roughly through the middle stages. Continued to pace roughly in the home straight. Held up rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home.
HONOUR BEFORE GLORY - held up in the early stages of the run home.
Race 3   FORBURY PARK JUNIOR DRIVERS TROT
ROGIE FALLS - trotted roughly shortly after the start and again racing into the first bend losing several lengths. Stewards questioned Driver M Lewis regarding the tactics she adopted in the middle stages when electing to remain at the rear of the field. Miss Lewis advised that the horse had performed well when driven for one run at its last start and at a recent trial and for this reason she elected not to improve her position at an earlier stage. Miss Lewis added that the gelding had failed to handle the bends and had trotted roughly. After hearing Miss Lewis' explanation, Stewards took the matter no further.
ANOTHERSUPERSTAR - over-raced through the middle stages. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
DUSKY EYRE - trotted roughly and hung inwards rounding the final bend.
ARDEE TROUBLE - Driver S O'Reilly reported she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MISSY MOO - weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance Driver J Morrison advised that the mare had trotted roughly throughout. Stewards requested a post-race Veterinary examination of the horse which revealed signs of muscle tie-up. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare with Trainer T Yesberg in the coming days.
SCARLETT LANE - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
Race 4   $40,000 PICK 6 STARTS NOW PACE
TOP POCKET CHANCE - broke at the start losing all chance.
TACT DENZEL - briefly crowded racing into the first bend.
BUB'S VC - weakened leaving the final bend.
RED ONYX - broke at the start. Hung inwards rounding the bends. Improved wide from the 600 metres. Driver J Morrison advised he would recommend gear changes be made prior to the gelding resuming.
BOMBSHELL - Driver T Chmiel was cautioned for the manner he drove racing into the first bend when crowding an inside runner.
LOISSONYA - held up on the final bend.
Race 5   MID WINTER XMAS BUFFET 4th JULY MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed due to a boring pole breaking and a replacement being obtained on LETS HUSTLE.
THE RED ROBBER - weakened on the final bend after racing parked throughout.
ELLNBAC - hung inwards racing into the first bend. Held up on the final bend.
CLIFTON TACTIC - raced wide until obtaining cover near the 1200 metres.
AVEROSS FERRARI - paced roughly on various occasions throughout.
GROOMSMAN - raced wide in the early stages.
RUNNING ON EMPTY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver C Ferguson reported the gelding had hung inwards throughout.
OMAR SHARIF - hung inwards through the early stages. Held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
WHISKYINTHEJAR - had to be steadied approaching the 50 metres when briefly placed in restricted room.
LETS HUSTLE - briefly placed in restricted room approaching the 50 metres.
CARLO GAMBINO - hung inwards in the score up.
DISMARA - paced roughly in the score up. Held up for clear racing room in the home straight. Driver M Hurrell reported he did not activate the removable gear.
FIRST SON - hung inwards throughout the home straight.
Race 6   NZ HORSE TRANSPORT LTD MOBILE PACE
G T REACTOR - raced four wide from the 600 metres. When spoken to regarding the improved performance, Trainer A Hoffman advised that the gelding had responded well to a change of environment and being trained on the beach.
LEI MISS - raced wide in the early stages.
DREAMINSOVER - raced wide without cover until being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1000 metres.
IDEAL ASSET - held up throughout the home straight. Driver J Cox advised he did not activate the sliding blinds.
VINCENZO DENARIO - broke at the start and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the mobile record of this gelding. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the request of Trainer/Driver B McLellan.
EXTREME ROBYN - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
BALDOON - weakened final bend.
Race 7   FORBURY PARK JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
JUNGLE GEM - raced wide rounding the first bend.
AY BOY - Driver J Alford (who declined the assistance of a Senior Horseman) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $200 by the JCA.
SOUNDS BETTOR - raced wide rounding the first bend. Weakened from the 600 metres.
GO KIWI - hung inwards near the 50 metres and had to be corrected.
PETE'S DASH - raced wide without cover from the 900 metres.
GEORGIE MARTIN - hung inwards throughout the home straight causing Driver M Lewis difficulty.
CRUISIN REUBEN - over-raced middle stages. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 8   YALDHURST HOTEL MOBILE PACE
ARCHMAN - improved outwards rounding the final bend before weakening passing the 300 metres.
SHARNAE - held up in the early stages of the run home.
HIS ROYAL HARNESS - paced roughly at the start. Held up on the final bend.
THE MAROON MARAUDER - raced wide in the early stages.
IVANA LEGACY - held up in the early stages of the run home.
HURRICANE BANNER - hung outwards through the middle stages.
APRIL ROSE - improved outwards final bend before being held up near the 300 metres and in the early stages of the home straight.
Race 9   FORBURY PARK CLAIMERS SERIES MOBILE PACE
No claims were lodged.
KNOCKMANAUGH - paced roughly in the score up. Hung inwards rounding the bends. Held up passing the 400 metres.
STAR RULER - paced roughly on the final bend. Returned to the stabling area with blood present in the mouth. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the tongue.
SQUARE DEALER - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced throughout. Weakened on the final bend.
