ROGIE FALLS - trotted roughly shortly after the start and again racing into the first bend losing several lengths. Stewards questioned Driver M Lewis regarding the tactics she adopted in the middle stages when electing to remain at the rear of the field. Miss Lewis advised that the horse had performed well when driven for one run at its last start and at a recent trial and for this reason she elected not to improve her position at an earlier stage. Miss Lewis added that the gelding had failed to handle the bends and had trotted roughly. After hearing Miss Lewis' explanation, Stewards took the matter no further. | |

MISSY MOO - weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance Driver J Morrison advised that the mare had trotted roughly throughout. Stewards requested a post-race Veterinary examination of the horse which revealed signs of muscle tie-up. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare with Trainer T Yesberg in the coming days. | |
