Race 6 - COMMODORE HOTEL MOBILE PACE
At a hearing held on 27 May, trainer/driver M Howard defended a breach of Rule 303(2) in that he misconducted himself in the Stewards room after attending a Stewards investigation. After hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Howard the JCA reserved their decision. Subsequently the JCA upheld the charge and Mr Howard was fined $850.

AVEROSS MAJESTY - broke in the middle stages of the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
THE NIGHT SWEATS - held up early stages of the run home.
PIPER MOSS - trotted roughly in the home straight.
MOTU MOONDANCER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Tomlinson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
JIMMY CARTER - broke in the middle stages of the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JAGUAR BAY - trotted roughly in the score up and was back from the unruly position at the start. Trotted roughly on a number of occasions during the running.
Race 2   ITM KAIAPOI MOBILE PACE
B MAC C - weakened final bend.
CHRISTIAN WHO - weakened from the 600 metres.
BUZINGA - raced wide in the early stages and was restrained to the rear. Improved wide from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver S Ottley advised she had been disappointed with the effort of the filly and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
STUN GUN - lay inwards rounding the final bend when under pressure striking track markers.
DONEGAL ART CHOKIN - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
BIG ON PERSONALITY - weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver T Williams advised he had been disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of hock sensitivity. The connections advised that the horse would do its future racing overseas.
Race 3   BC PLUMBERS MOBILE TROT
I'LDOITMYWAY - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 1300 metres. Weakened final bend.
WHATASISTA - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered near the 1300 metres. Trotted roughly throughout and weakened from the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness in both front feet. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SOME TIME - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Smith. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by breaking runners shortly after the start.
ANOTHER CHAPTER - trotted roughly in the home straight.
ONE OVER DA SKYE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.
Race 4   VINCENT AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
THE OPTIMIST - held up final bend.
MRS WASHINGTON - paced roughly throughout the home straight.
DEJA BLUE - hung outwards near the 50 metres and had to be steadied after becoming awkwardly placed close to the wheel of CHLOE'S JOY.
GOTTAGETTABEER - raced wide early stages and over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover. Held up final bend and for the majority of the home straight.
INVISIBLE GIRL - held up early stages of the run home.
PRECOCIOUS MEGAN - raced wide early stages.
Race 5   PGG WRIGHTSON ST'BRED UNCUT GEMS MARES CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
IDEAL RULE - weakened from the 600 metres.
NAIYA FRANCO - driver S Tomlinson reported the mare had hung outwards throughout the home straight.
FLYIN MILLY MAC - pre-race warmed. Over-raced when leading in the middle stages.
TIGER SWIFT - trainer S Telfer was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to lodge a Horse Movement Notification. Driver C Thornley was an authorised driver change due to D Butcher's flight being delayed. Out of position at the start. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver C Thornley felt the mare had failed to see out the distance of the race.
JUICE BROGDEN - raced wide early stages. Over-raced middle stages. Trainer/driver N Chilcott reported the mare had been striking the wheel discs.
FIRST CLASS LADY - held up by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 600 metres.
SMOKE N REACTOR - paced roughly racing into the first bend when briefly crowded by an outside runner. Over-raced through the early stages. Hung inwards final bend and struck track markers. Driver R May was reminded of his obligations to return his foot to the sulky footrest at the earliest opportunity. Mr May reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners on the mare. Trainer M Jones was warned for failing to affix the removable deafeners so as not to malfunction.
SWEET MARY - hung inwards in the early stages crowding an inside runner.
Race 6   TELTRAC COMMUNICATIONS LTD MOBILE TROT
RUSTY I AM - hung inwards final bend. Driver P Wakelin will be spoken to regarding the manner she drove in the run home.
FRANCO JOSIAH - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
IN THE VALLEY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Orange. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trotted roughly in the middle stages.
EASY PICKINGS - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
MDINA - swung around in the early stages of the score up causing driver C Butt difficulty. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TERRIER - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the request of trainer J Bartlett. Steadied near the 1000 metres after a slight easing of the pace. Driver M Purvis was warned for half carting passing the 600 metres.
JERRY GARCIA - steadied near the 1000 metres after a slight easing of the pace. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend and hung inwards.
Race 7   PGG WRIGHTSON ST'BRED UNCUT GEMS (G & E) CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
PAUL'S VERDICT - weakened from the 600 metres.
FLYING MISTER IDEAL - weakened final bend.
FRANCO SANTINO - weakened final bend.
BAILEYS KNIGHT - raced wide early stages. Weakened final bend.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - weakened final bend.
U MAY CULLECT - over-raced passing the 2000 metres when being restrained to obtain cover.

Race 8   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
RAGNARR - late scratching on veterinary advice at 9.45am. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
TACTICAL CHANGE - over-raced and hung outwards in the middle stages.
TIGER MOTH - cast a shin boot near the 1100 metres. Paced roughly from the 600 metres.
Race 9   PGG WRIGHTSON ST'BRED UNCUT GEMS TROTTERS CLASSIC (HCP TROT)
LISA MARIE P - weakened from the 700 metres.
BEYOND THE HORIZON - broke at the start.
CLIFDEN CLOWERS - contacted track markers on the final bend. Driver R Close was issued with a warning.
THEODOSIA - driver C Butt admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of the Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Butt's Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 16 June up to and including 12 July 2019 (7 days).
NEVERNEVERLAND - broke briefly at the start.
TOPNOTCH TITAN - began awkwardly and broke shortly after the start. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again racing into the first bend losing all chance.
WEE MAN TROUBLE - broke after 150 metres.
Race 10   BLUE STAR TAXIS MOBILE PACE
BOUND TO IMPRESS - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced in the middle stages. Trainer/driver J Versteeg was warned for failing to affix the sliding blinds so as not to malfunction.
THAT ALEXANDER GUY - placed in restricted room near the 300 metres locking wheels briefly with MARTIN JOHN which was tiring and paced roughly.
FLAMBOYANT - shifted ground inwards near the 300 metres when driver K Cox activated gear crowding inside runners. Ms Cox was shown a replay and warned for the manner she drove at this stage of the race.
MARTIN JOHN - weakened final bend. Struck pylons and locked wheels with THAT ALEXANDER GUY passing the 300 metres when crowded for racing room.
AMORE LANCOME - out of position at the start. Driver B Butt was issued with a warning.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - raced wide early stages.
UPTOWN LADY - pre-race warmed.
ROCKNROLL ROD - raced wide early stages. Driver B Orange reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer K Austin advised he had increased the gelding's workload since its disappointing performance at its last start.
