LADY OF THE KNIFE - gave ground from the 1000 metres. When questioned Driver R Holmes reported the filly to have sucked wind throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the performance record of the filly. | |
HANDS UP JACK - hung throughout the score up and was back from the unruly position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. |

JULIE JOHNSTON - over raced and raced wide in early and middle stages with Driver R Holmes unable to restrain the mare to the back of the field and so improved forward to race outside the leader near the 1100 metres. Weakened passing the 500 metres. | |
BHAKTI - was back at the start with Driver R Cameron issued with a warning. Held up around the final bend, and again held up near the 200 metres and had to be heavily restrained after making contact with the helmet of Driver T Chmiel (SHARDAN SUZIE) | |
