Race 1   NZ HARNESS TIPS / NELSON OTB PACE
UNO MIA - began awkwardly.
POCKET ROCKNROLL - broke at the start, losing all chance.
SIPPINONJACK - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SILK - held up early stages of the run home. Driver R Holmes reported that he had not released the fillys deafeners.
IT'S A SHAWTHING - broke at the start.
BOMBSHELL - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
MANNERING - broke shortly after the start.
Race 2   FRUITFED HANDICAP TROT
KENSINGTON BILL - hampered after 150 metres having to be restrained. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
HE WAS ROMEO - broke after 150 metres.
LAST SEQUENCE - Driver S Payne advised that he had not released the deafeners on his filly (winner).
PLAY DOUGH - fractious behind the barrier.
GOTTA TICKET - tangled away.
KAPAI - trotted roughly leaving the final bend and was shifted outwards when the gelding continued to trot unevenly, having to be restrained by its driver. A post race veterinary examination showed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 3   MORE FM MOBILE PACE
MONGOLIAN MACHETE - lay outwards in the run home.
NICOLE - raced greenly near the 1700 metres.
SUNHI MAGIC - when spoken to regarding the performance of his gelding, Driver T Chmiel could only advise the horse proved very disappointing when asked for an effort inside the 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
CONQUISTADOR - raced roughly in the early stages of the run home.
Race 4   BMTT MOBILE PACE
LADY OF THE KNIFE - gave ground from the 1000 metres. When questioned Driver R Holmes reported the filly to have sucked wind throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the performance record of the filly.
HANDS UP JACK - hung throughout the score up and was back from the unruly position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 5   ARONUI & TOHU WINES MOBILE PACE
JINGLES BROMAC - raced wide early. Held up around the final bend
JULIE JOHNSTON - over raced and raced wide in early and middle stages with Driver R Holmes unable to restrain the mare to the back of the field and so improved forward to race outside the leader near the 1100 metres. Weakened passing the 500 metres.
BHAKTI - was back at the start with Driver R Cameron issued with a warning. Held up around the final bend, and again held up near the 200 metres and had to be heavily restrained after making contact with the helmet of Driver T Chmiel (SHARDAN SUZIE)
ROZZANO - held up around the final bend by a weakening runner.
MISTER MIGHTY - cleared from the unruly for mobile starts.
Race 6   HARDY'S BAR & TAB PACE
RED TERROR - hung out wards on the final bend. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
TYRON'S CHE BELLA - broke at the start losing its chance.
ZIPPIDY DOODAH - raced wide in the early stages.
SWEENEY TODD - over raced middle stages.
DONEGAL GILBERT - when questioned regarding the geldings performance Driver R May explained in his opinion the horse had not backed up from its first day run.
Race 7   CLUB WAIMEA MOBILE PACE
BONNIE BOY - held up early in the run home.
ALL NUTS N BOLTS - raced wide in the early stages.
CONTRACTUAL ISSUES - raced wide in the early stages.
ROCKNROLL KING - raced roughly leaving the final bend.
HOT STARFF - raced wide from the 1100 metres.
AIN'T NOTHING BETTOR - weakened from the 1200 metres and then compounded soon after being retired from the race by Driver D Butcher. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a post-strenuous exercise Veterinary clearance.
MADIBA - raced wide in the early stages.
Race 8   NELSON PINE INDUSTRIES WINTER CUP (HCP PACE)
BURLINGTON - began awkwardly. When spoken to regarding the geldings performance Driver S McNally explained that in his option the gelding had not been able to see out the extra distance of todays race.
PAY ME VISA - stood on the mark and began awkwardly.
NIMAH FRANCO - raced wide in the early stages.
THE NIGHT HAWK - raced roughly in the early stages.
Race 9   MIKE AUSTIN MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
FEKITOA - broke on several occasions racing into the first bend with the gelding being stood down to trial.
ARDEE TROUBLE - Driver C Thornley reported the gelding to have hung outwards during the run home and that he would be recommending the boring pole be removed.
LOOK BOTH WAYS - Driver T Chmiel was spoken to regarding the manner he drove racing into the first bend when restricting the racing room available to MONARO MARO. Broke briefly near the 500 metres.
DOLLY JONES - broke at the start briefly and shortly after, losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TERRIER - broke and then paced at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MONARO MARO - raced roughly and had to be steadied after 200 metres when placed in restricted room. Raced wide from the 900 metres.
SHONA MARY - removed from the unruly for standing starts.
Race 10   HOUSTON MOTOR GROUP MOBILE PACE
CULLENS BET - when spoken to regarding the performance of his filly, Driver R May could only advise he was disappointed with her efforts. Stewards will follow up with Trainer B Hill in the following days.
WESTAR SAM - held up early in the run home.
BORN TO RUN - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after falling in the stabling area and was passed fit to race.
