Race 1   METRO PERFORMANCE GLASS MOBILE PACE
THE BULL PEN - broke at the start and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record.
MOTU TOP MACH - paced roughly under pressure passing the 100m.
CHECK IN - tended to over-race middle stages when trailing the leader.
JUICE BROGDEN - lay in near the 1250m and was then shifted down to four deep on the marker line by THE BULL PEN and was covered up in this position for a distance. Unable to make ground over the latter stages of the race which was run at a quick tempo. Junior Driver L Whittaker advised he could not activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled on the sulky shaft. Trainer N Chilcott was cautioned in regard to ensuring the gear does not malfunction.
Race 2   BETTABUILT MOBILE PACE
THE EMPRESS - permission was given for the rein burr to be removed after the filly failed to warm up favourably.
PEKESON - raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear.
M T POCKETS - pulled hard in the score up. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 3   GFC DELIVERY FASTER FASTENER ANSWERS MOBILE PACE
JACK TAR - paced roughly near the 800m and then again rounding the final turn contacting a track marker.
JUST WING IT - lay in rounding the final turn.
COURT ON THE EDGE - held up early final turn.
Race 4   ASPEC HANDICAP TROT
MR GOOD AND EVIL - broke passing the 2400m losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
ASH - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke further at the 1200m, 600m and late in the run home.
PARAMOUNT KING - shifted in under pressure late in the run home.
ACE COMMANDER - broke at the start but soon settled.
MAJESTIC ALI - broke near the 1300m and settled at the rear. Broke again approaching the 900m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
SUNNY GLENIS - broke briefly at the start losing several lengths. Held up briefly near the 250m.
Race 5   CONSTRUCTION SOFTWARE MOBILE PACE
CORBAUX - lay in rounding the first turn.
DOUBLE OR NOTHING - paced roughly passing the 200m.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - weakened final stages.
Race 6   ICON NZ TROT (STAND)
SUNNY PEGASUS - broke near the 1300m losing its chance.
EYRE I GO - broke at the start settling at the rear.
DANKE - underwent a veterinary examination after having raced last night at Cambridge and was cleared to start.
LUKYANOVA - broke entering the first turn losing ground before settling. Broke passing the 200m losing its chance.
VATICAN HILL - Driver T MacFarlane was shown the replay of the start and spoken to advisedly in relation to the position he was occupying at dispatch. In considering this matter, Stewards took into account that a Starter's Assistant had led the gelding forward and was in attendance when the start was declared.
KAY CEE - slow to begin losing considerable ground before catching the body of the field near the 2000m.
Race 7   THE LABOUR EXCHANGE HANDICAP TROT
JANSSON - over-raced middle stages.
MAGNAFIQUE - lay in and broke passing the 800m.
AS FREE AS AIR - broke shortly after the start losing ground and then trailed the field.
SERTORIUS - impeded by a galloping runner shortly after the start and momentarily switched to a pace regaining its trotting gait quickly.
