KING CASSIDY - despite Stewards being notified to the contrary, owner C Gerken advised that the horse would now not be spelled but instead continue on with its preparation.

Race 9 - NEXT RACE MEETING 13TH JUNE MOBILE PACE
Driver K Barclay (MISS FANDANGO) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.

Race 1   BARNES WILD BLUFF OYSTERS MOBILE PACE
IWANADANCEWITSUMBODY - driver B Williamson reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners applied to the mare. Trainer H Hunter was warned for incorrectly applying gear.
ELLNBAC - lay inwards exiting the final bend.
BOUND TO BE BETTOR - paced roughly passing the 100 metres.
BOLD RULER - over-raced in the middle stages.
SHINDAL - lay inwards exiting the final bend contacting several track markers. Driver R McIlwrick was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 when being late to present this runner on to the track.
GLACIER COASTER - broke in the score up.
Race 2   AWARUA SYNERGY GOLD CHIP FINAL HANDICAP TROT
There was a slight delay to the start of this event due to JACCKA JEORGE requiring farrier attention.
MR OLYMPUS - broke racing towards the first bend losing considerable ground. Lost the off fore racing plate during the running.
THE POWER BROKER - weakened from the 450 metres.
SVELT - lay inwards exiting the final bend.
LIBERTY STRIDE - broke after 200 metres losing considerable ground.
JACCKA JEORGE - trotted roughly throughout. Broke passing the 750 metres. Trainer B Gray advised that this gelding would now be sent for a spell.
Race 3   SOUTHERN OCEAN SAFETY EQUIPMENT LTD PACE
PADUKA - broke at the start. Had to be restrained passing the 1300 metres when there was an easing of the pace. Held up rounding the final bend.
FRANK THE TANK - late scratching on veterinary advice at 9.40 am.
MELTON MAFIA - driver G Lee was warned for allowing his runner to breach the barrier strand, delaying the start. Held up rounding the final bend and throughout the home straight.
HAZER - when spoken to regarding the seemingly improved performance trainer B Gray advised the horse was better suited to standing start races and had been hampered at it's last start by a weakening runner leading the form to read worse than what it actually was.
SHERRY BABY - Slow to begin. Had to be restrained passing the 1300 metres when there was an easing of the pace.
ARCHMAN - Raced wide from the 1000 metres. Weakened from the 750 metres. When questioned regarding the performance junior driver S Tomlinson expressed disappointment however could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer C Ferguson in the coming days.
Race 4   GRINALDI LODGE MOBILE PACE
FRANCO JUNE - over-raced passing the 1700 metres and contacted the inside sulky tyre of ELVA JACCKA. Weakened from the 500 metres.
CHEDDAR MADE BETA - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1500 metres.
BETTERTHANBRIE - lay inwards on the bends.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - raced keenly when held up rounding the final bend.
WHISKYINTHEJAR - over-raced near the 1700 metres.
ELVA JACCKA - had to be restrained when placed in restricted room passing the 1700 metres due to an easing of pace with the inside sulky wheel being contacted, resulting in the tyre deflating thereafter.
KANSAS CITY JIM - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
Race 5   SOUTHLAND HARNESS AWARDS LADYSHIP FINAL MOBILE PACE
OPAL - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
PHIL'S LAST CHANCE - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start due to the mare warming up unfavourably. Paced roughly and broke briefly in the score-up being out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 6   SOUTH PORT NZ LTD BLUFF CUP HANDICAP PACE
PADDYPROUDFOOT - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.20 am.
NOTA BENE DENARIO - tangled away.
Race 7   NORTHERN SOUTHLAND TROTTING CLUB HANDICAP TROT
GRACE O'MALLEY - broke passing the 400 metres.
LYNETTE THE VET - lay inwards on the bends throughout, losing ground on each occasion. Weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver G Lee confirmed the mare had hung throughout the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
ROBBIE ROYALE - hampered by a weakening runner near the 900 metres.
FULL NOISE - tangled away.
DE VITO - trotted roughly on various occasions during the running. Broke passing the 1700 metres. Driver T Williams reported the gelding had hung throughout, proving difficult to steer and due to this he did not activate the removable deafeners applied.
Race 8   TERRY DIXON MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
MAJOR DEAL - shifted up the track slightly in the home straight when placed under pressure.
NO MORE CHANGE - held up for racing room exiting the final bend and in the early to middle stages of the home straight.
TARTAN ROBYN - lay inwards through the middle stages of the home straight.
DOUBLE RAINBOW - hung outwards briefly passing the 100 metres.
I'MALLABOUTTHEBASE - hung inwards in the home straight with driver T Williams advising that due to this he had difficulty shifting the mare outwards to obtain clear running and he would be recommending gear changes in an effort to rectify this tendency.
RAFFY ROO - paced roughly for a few strides passing the 150 metres.
Race 9   SOUTHLAND FARM SERVICES LTD MOBILE PACE
PARTICULAR - held up rounding the final bend.
BUB'S VC - broke shortly after the start was effected losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened from the 500 metres.
JAFFIE J - broke in the score-up, however settled, being well out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
REBEL WITH A GRIN - held up exiting the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
LOCK IT IN EDDIE - raced wide in the early stages.
IDEAL ASSET - held up rounding the final bend.
HANS IDEAL - held up exiting the final bend and for the majority of the home straight only obtaining clear running over the final 50 metres.
HOLY HAVOC - lay inwards exiting the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
LUCYS DELIGHT - paced roughly passing the 1600 metres losing contact with the body of the field for 400 metres. When questioned regarding the horses performance trainer/driver B McLellan explained the horse had hung on each bend and lost ground in consequence. He added that it was his intention to experiment with gear changes prior to resuming.
Race 10   HYDE LANDSCAPING MOBILE PACE
APRIL ROSE - held up rounding the final bend.
SCHNITZEL VON KRUMM - raced wide in the early stages.
SUNSET RED - held up exiting the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
JACCKA TAFFY - hung in the score-up.
SKIDADDLE - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced in the middle stages. Raced fiercely passing the 1100 metres making contact with the driver of JACCKA TAFFY. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Raced wide on the final bend.
