Race 1 - BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TAB'S AMATEUR CHAMPS HEAT 3 MOB PACE
Driver W Rich admitted using his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of the Whip Regulations when driving IMMORTAL CHANGE and after penalty submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
Race 3 - HYDROFLOW MOBILE TROT
Driver M Edmonds admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule, 869(4)(6)(b)(c) when RUTH CELESTE PETITE shifted outwards near the 1500 metres forcing DOLLY JONES to race wider on the track. After hearing penalty submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $200.

Race 1   BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TAB'S AMATEUR CHAMPS HT 4 MOB PACE
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - held up final bend.
MY NIKAYLA - out of position at the start. Driver C Wigg was issued with a warning. Held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home. Ms Wigg was issued with a warning for failing to notify Stewards that the removable deafeners had not been activated.
VIGOROSO - raced wide early stages.
FRANCO SHERBORNE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver P Cook. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Lay in through the final straight.
I'M SICK OF EXCUSES - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Brownlee. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Over-raced middle stages. Raced roughly for a short distance near the 1600 metres when awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of MY NIKAYLA. Shifted in near the 1400 metres with the mare attempting to jump pylons and breaking in consequence. Driver J Brownlee admitted driving carelessly at this time and after hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $100 and suspended Mr Brownlee's Amateur Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 31 August 2019.
ZULU COURAGE - trainer B Negus was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after ZULU COURAGE was presented with sliding blinds which had not been notified.
EJA PATRON - raced wide from the 1200 metres.
Race 2   GOOD LUCK KIDZ KARTZ FOR THE HARNESS JEWELS TROT
There was a delay to the start when YURI required a sulky change due to having a flat tyre.
KENSINGTON BILL - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Again broke near the 2200 metres losing its chance.
PASTRANA - trotted roughly on the final bend.
DOUG - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
FOLLY'S TROUBLE - Stewards questioned driver R May regarding his decision at the top of the straight to not shift inwards and use the passing lane but instead attempt an outside run which led to him being held up for a short distance. Mr May advised the mare had been making contact with the outside wheel and so believed to shift inwards would have worsened the issue. He added that the leading NEVER MIND had peaked on its run at this time which contributed to his decision to shift outwards. After hearing his explanation Stewards took the matter no further.
PIPER MOSS - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
YURI - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
Race 3   BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TAB'S AMATEUR CHAMPS HT 5 MOB PACE
IMMORTAL CHANGE - shifted outwards to avoid a weakening runner near the 850 metres causing some tightening to MYBOYLOLLIEPOP. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance, stable representative S Tomlinson advised the mare may not have backed up after racing at the NZ Metropolitan TC's meeting on Friday night.
GET THE RHYTHM - over-raced in the score up and paced roughly prior to dispatch. Weakened from the 900 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver N Munro could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance. Trainer S Blake advised that she intended to alter the horses training regime.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - broke briefly approaching the 850 metres when runners either side shifted ground.
OHOKA MATTY - raced wide early stages.
GABBY'S STAR - raced wide early stages.
ANNA BARCLAY - raced wide from the 1100 metres.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS - hampered by a weakening runner near the 900 metres. Held up final bend.
ARTICULIGHT - driver S Wigg was cautioned for the manner in which she shifted ground outwards near the 1400 metres.
DEN'S LEGACY - lay inwards through the score up and despite the efforts of driver C Wigg was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Raced roughly after making contact with the sulky wheel of ARTICULIGHT near the 1400 metres. Shifted inwards near the 850 metres causing some crowding to MYBOYLOLLIEPOP.
Race 4   FASTTRACK INSURANCE MOBILE PACE
GOTTAGETTABEER - lay inwards through the early stages having to be corrected by driver R May. Lay inwards through the final straight.
PERAKI REACTOR - made contact with the wheel of ONSPEED and broke near the 800 metres. Driver S Ottley admitted driving carelessly in this incident and after hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $250. When questioned regarding the manner she drove subsequent to this incident Miss Ottley explained it had been her intention to improve wide however the three wide line was not progressing and for that reason had switched to an inside run, noting that this had saved her considerable ground. Stewards accepted her explanation. Held up throughout the final straight.
ONSPEED - over-raced in the early stages.
TIGER MOTH - broke racing into the first bend. Stewards will speak with driver M Hurrell regarding this in the coming days.
Stewards spoke with driver M Hurrell regarding the breaking of TIGER MOTH near the 1600 metres. After hearing from Mr Hurrell, a warning was placed on the racing record of TIGER MOTH.
Race 5   BOOGIE BEATS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE TROT
LISA MARIE P - weakened final bend.
SPEEDY COMMAND - weakened final bend.
MADELEINE STOWE - trotted roughly in the score up and was back slightly at the start. Continued to trot roughly through the early and middle stages. Lay inwards leaving the final bend and then broke near the 200 metres.
WHATASISTA - trotted roughly throughout. Weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the mare's performance, trainer T Bagrie advised that he was disappointed with the effort and was of the opinion that the horse may be better suited when driven with cover.
AGATHA TYRON - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
Race 6   LONE STAR RICCARTON PACE
BEEN TO JENNY'S - broke at the start.
NUI MAY TAU - fractious prior to the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Over-raced middle stages.
HILARIOUS PRINCE - over-raced middle stages.
SHOTGUN WEDDING - raced wide early stages.
DALNESS ARIZONA - broke shortly after the start. Again broke after 200 metres losing further ground.
THE GUILD - driver J Hay admitted using his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of the Whip Regulations and the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
BOMBSHELL - hampered in the early stages. Weakened from the 600 metres.
KENNEDY - raced fiercely through the middle stages causing driver B Zampese some difficulty near the 1400 metres.
TAUMALOLO - broke shortly after the start. Trainer T Yesberg reported that the gelding had a slow recovery following the race and would have blood tests taken in the coming days. Stewards will follow up the results with Mr Yesberg in the coming days.
Trainer T Yesberg advised Stewards on 2 June that TAUMALOLO was subject to a lungwash after racing at Rangiora on 26 May with this revealing some irregularities which are now being treated.
Race 7   YOUNGMAN & SON HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared when the 10 metre barrier failed to activate.
CABELLA NOIR - broke shortly after the start. Weakened from the 600 metres.
ALDEBARAN BONNY - broke near the 2000 metres. Broke again near the 300 metres. Stewards will speak with driver C DeFilippi regarding this in the coming days.
TOPNOTCH TITAN - fractious prior to the start. Broke at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
RACHMANINOV - fractious behind the barriers. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Raced wide early stages.
SHOW ME THE GRAY - hampered and broke after 100 metres eventually galloping a considerable distance before being able to be returned to its proper gait. Despite interference being the reason for the horse's gallop, Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing under the Breaking Horse Regulations alleging the horse had failed to promptly regain its proper gait when galloping in excess of 150 metres. After considering all evidence the JCA exercised their discretion and dismissed the protest.
MIDNIGHT SIOUX - broke passing the 2400 metres then switched to a pace losing further ground.
CHAMPAGNE PRINCE - broke near the 2000 metres. Lay outwards on the final bend. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
Race 8   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS HANDICAP PACE
FRIEND - broke at the start.
MISS PINOCCHIO - broke at the start.
BAKARI - broke at the start.
GO DAVEY - broke at the start. Driver B Laughton was spoken to advisedly regarding the effort he made to return his horse to its proper gait.
SHADOW MINISTER - broke at the start.
COPPERHEAD ROSE - trainer D Jones was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after COPPERHEAD ROSE was presented with blinds which had not been notified.
ONEDIN REIGN - broke at the start.
Race 9   AIRPARK CANTERBURY PINK RIBBON PACE
TO RI CAITLIN - crowded racing into the first bend and struck several pylons. Held up on the final bend by a weakening runner. Driver R May was warned for allowing his horse to shift into the passing lane over the final stages.
ASTUTO - restrained racing into the first bend when in restricted room. Weakened final bend.
MIGHTY MONICA - broke at the start.
POSSENTE CAVALLO - broke at the start losing all chance.
PINE CONE - shifted inwards racing into the first bend crowding the racing room available to ASTUTO (L O'Reilly). Stewards questioned drivers K Cameron and L O'Reilly regarding this incident and after considering their explanations, K Cameron was issued with a warning for shifting ground when not clear.
BRANTLEY - trainers T & G Chmiel were issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for a late driver notification. Driver T Chmiel was warned for the manner he drove racing into the first bend when shifting down the track placing pressure on inside runners.
BALTIMORE JACK - raced roughly in the early stages.
TOPSPINNER - lay inwards and raced roughly entering the first bend losing ground. Continued to race roughly on occasions during the running.
DONEGAL CARNBOUY - broke at the start.
TRACKSAREFORTRAINS - late scratching at 10.02am on veterinary advice. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
Race 10   HSW LIMITED MOBILE PACE
SAGINAW - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home and paced roughly near the 100 metres.
SCOTLYNN HARRY - raced roughly near the 1300 metres when there was an easing of the pace.
GLENTHORNE - held up final bend.
LINCOLN SKIPPER - briefly hampered by a weakening runner near the 100 metres.
