Race 1   NZ AMATEUR DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 1 MOBILE PACE
EXPRESS PLAY - commenced to shift out from the marker line approaching the 1300 metres but was then shifted back down after EL CAPITAN had improved to its outside. Held up when taking evasive action around a tiring runner at the 300 metres.
VANHALEM - Amateur Driver B Wilmott was cautioned in regard to coming to the mobile barrier over the initial stages of the score up out of position at barrier 3 instead of 2. This resulted in the outside runners all being one position wider initially.
XMAS BAY - over-raced when in the lead from inside the 1300 metres and in particular when challenged by MR INCREDIBLE. Gave ground inside the final 400 metres inconveniencing trailing runners.
MR INCREDIBLE - unsuccessfully contested for the lead approaching the winning post to receive the bell.
EL CAPITAN - Amateur Driver W Rich advised that he was unable to place the gelding up into its correct position behind the mobile gate over the middle stages of the score up which resulted in him being a length out of position at the start.
A BETTER DANCER - lost contact with the field from inside the 1100 metres.
RAINBOW WIRI - over-raced middle stages. Driver C Wigg advised that she pulled a punctured sulky tyre from the middle stages.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - Amateur Driver A Edge was questioned as to why he restrained from outside the leader to trail three deep on the marker line with 1350 metres to run. Mr Edge advised that he had been instructed to drive the gelding with cover so he took the opportunity when it was presented.
BELLA ROZA - held up by a tiring runner inside the 300 metres. Amateur Driver P Cook was shown the replay of his drive entering the first bend and spoken to advisedly in regard to conceding his position to a runner that was shifting inward with an advantage over him and as a result his gelding paced roughly for several strides.

THE GREENKEEPER - back from its Unruly position at the start.
Race 3   NZ AMATEUR DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT 2 MOBILE PACE
COMIC BOOK HERO - improved three wide to race outside the leader middle stages then weakened inside the 300 metres.
J BEE - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
ROMANITE - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
RACKETEERS BOY - held up early stages of the run home.
Race 4   FIRST CREDIT UNION MOBILE PACE
DEMIDEAL - held up early final turn.
Race 5   PRO PACK REMOVALS TROT (STANDING START)
EDESIA - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SECRETOFTHESEA SMILE - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field.
SONEY BEATT - led up but weakened from inside the 500 metres. Trainer J Abernethy was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding with an anti-choke device which was not notified.
BURT MUNRO - broke for a few strides settling quickly passing the 800 metres
LOCKSMITH - over-raced when outside the leader in the middle stages.
RAVE NATION - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field. A warning was placed on the mare's standing start manners record.
MY BOY BOO - switched to a pace approaching the 400 metres with Driver J Stormont taking the gelding wider on the track in order to correct its gait.
SAVITSKAYA - broke rounding the first turn losing its chance.
Race 6   CARRICKS FINANCIAL PARTNERS FOR LIFE MOBILE PACE
ERROL FINN - paced roughly for a few strides at the start. Over-raced when challenged for the lead inside the 1300 metres. Checked and broke inside the 1000 metres losing its chance and was retired from the event.
JANET GUTHRIE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
TRIOLET - inconvenienced by a breaking runner inside the 1000 metres. Held up rounding the final turn.
MHAI UPTOWN GIRL - held up rounding the final turn.
STARRY STAR - broke at the start settling quickly. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
ABOUT TURN - Driver D Butcher admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly passing the 1000 metres causing interference to ERROL FINN which broke losing its chance. The JCA suspended Mr Butcher's drivers licence from the conclusion of racing on the 17 May upto and including the 23rd May 2019.
Race 7   LES HARRISON TRANSPORT HANDICAP TROT
SAFRAKOVA - Driver L Chin was cautioned for using his whip when out of contention in the run home.
TAKENOPRISONERS - broke briefly at the start. Lay in when weakening rounding the final turn contacting marker pegs.
GREY STOKE - broke entering the first turn losing all chance.
FIRA - Driver S Phelan was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground passing the 600 metres which resulted in LAURA BUSH being checked and trotting roughly for several strides.
LAURA BUSH - checked and trotted roughly for several strides passing the 600 metres.
SIR GEORGE BOWEN - broke passing the 200 metres losing its chance.
Race 8   CAMBRIDGE JOCKEY CLUB MOBILE PACE
MACH LITTLE SOAKY - over-raced when outside the leader and weakened inside the 500 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
ALLY MAE - held up and badly inconvenienced by a tiring runner approaching the 500 metres.
THE LONE RANGER - raced three wide from inside the 1400 metres before crossing to race outside the leader at the 500 metres.
WESTBURN YIELD - raced three wide with cover from inside the 1400 metres.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - held up rounding the final bend.
RED MAGIC - held up early stages of the run home.
Race 9   NEVELE R STUD MOBILE PACE
ARTY PHARTY - Trainer M Berger was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding late onto the track.
T C BUSINESS - hung in badly rounding the turns losing contact with the body of the field near the 1200 metres. Hung again on the bend approaching the 800 metres before galloping losing all chance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
COOL AND CALCULATING - held up early final turn.
ALLONBLACK - over-raced middle stages when trailing the leader.
Race 10   LADS NIGHT 6TH JUNE TROT (STANDING START)
PEGASUS HANOVER - tired from the 600 metres. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
JAZMIN ROYALE - broke briefly shortly after the start. Weakened from the 400 metres.
LUKYANOVA - Driver K Marshall reported that he had not activated the deafeners due to having the field covered.
MACARTHUR - trotted roughly entering the back straight the first time losing several lengths.
PRINCE MACKENDON - broke over the early stages settling at the rear. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
