Race 10 - $50 ALL UP JULY CHALLENGE AT ADDINGTON HANDICAP TROT
Trainer R Todd has advised Stewards on 8 May that SPLASH COLA has recovered well from its performance at Addington last week adding that as a result of the mare hitting itself during the running she would have a change in shoeing for this week's engagement. Mr Todd also indicated that if circumstances permit SPLASH COLA will be driven with a sit.

Race 1   DUNEDIN CITY MOTORS MOBILE PACE
THE LAST STRAW - lay in under pressure in the home straight before being corrected by driver. Driver J Dunn advised that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
TACT DENZEL - lay inwards in the early stages.
IRON WOMAN - held up in the early stages of the run home.
DREAMINSOVER - raced wide early stages.
BE INSPIRED - Driver A Armour reported that the mare was striking the sulky wheels throughout.
BELLE MACH - held up in the latter stages of the home straight. Driver C Ferguson reported that the mare had paced roughly at various stages and they would be making gear changes for future races.
Race 2   NORWOOD FARM MACHINERY CENTRE TROT
SHES SO RIGHT - weakened final bend.
COSMIC SUN - trotted roughly over the final stages.
TOMMY TIDDLER - held up final bend.
KEN'S DREAM - broke shortly after the start with a final warning being placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards at various stages of the event.
MAJESTIC ROSE - lay inwards at various stages throughout the event.
AYUTTHAYA - broke briefly near the 700 metres.
Race 3   NZ HORSE TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
WHERE'S DADDY - over raced early and middle stages. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the push out rule when WHERE'S DADDY shifted ground outwards when BONO BROWN had progressed to its outside near the 1400 metres. After viewing the films it was established that BONO BROWN had hung outwards prior to reaching the wheel presenting WHERE'S DADDY an opportunity to shift outwards and therefore the matter was taken no further. Raced greenly when leading.
GLIDING PAST - weakened from the 600 metres with Driver B Williamson reporting that the mare had made respiratory noises near the end and after the race. Stewards requested a post race Veterinary examination which showed the mare to have a poor post race recovery with the mare requiring a Veterinary clearance before racing again.
ALE ALE KAI - over raced passing 1000 metres when placed in restricted room due to the easing of the pace.
NUCLEAR WAY - slow away and failed to make contact with the field throughout the running. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
S P F THREE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance and being retired from the event. The gelding was placed on the unruly for its future mobile engagements with Trainer D Simpson advising he would be making gear changes for future starts.
CHARLTON REACTOR - over raced then broke in the score up losing its chance with a warning being placed on the geldings barrier record.
MISS RUBY SUNSHINE - over raced passing 1000 metres when placed in restricted room due to the easing of the pace. Driver S Tomlinson advised that she did not activate the removable gear due to having the field covered.
Race 4   RICOH PACE
HANDSOME HARRY - weakened from the 400 metres.
DEANNE PANYA - lay inwards over final stages.
NANS CHOICE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
RAKAGEM - held up from the middle stages of the run home.
LIVING FANTASY - Driver M Williamson reported that his sulky suffered a flat tyre during the running.
MYSISTERSAPOLEDANCER - held up rounding final bend.
ULTIMATE SWIFT - paced roughly when the pace eased passing the 1400 metres, having to be steadied.
PACIFIC CHAL - hung inwards shortly after the start and broke losing all chance.
JACKS ANNE - paced roughly when the pace eased passing the 1400 metres, having to be steadied.
SHOTGUN WEDDING - broke at the start and was then inconvenienced by breaking runner shortly after losing considerable ground.
MANNERING - raced wide early stages.
Trainer J Harrington advised Stewards on 12 May that blood tests taken from HANDSOME HARRY following its disappointing performance at Forbury Park on 9 May showed a high white cell count with the gelding now being treated.
Race 5   CLAIMERS SERIES COMING SOON MOBILE PACE
IT'S A DEAL - late scratching on veterinary advice after being injured en route to the course. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
ALEXY - lay in rounding final bend contacting several track markers.
BHAKTI - weakened from the 700 metres. A post race Veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with Trainer R Cameron on the geldings recovery in the coming days.
ROCKAHULA JOE - over raced when being restrained to the back of the field in the early stages.
FRANCO JUNE - junior Driver M Hurrell will be spoken to in the coming days regarding the manner in which he drove in the final stages.
KANSAS CITY JIM - over raced middle stages.
Junior driver M Hurrell (FRANCO JUNE) was issued a warning to ensure he drives his runners out fully to the finish line when circumstances permit.
Race 6   JUNIOR DRIVERS SERIES COMING SOON MOBILE PACE
THE RED ROBBER - held up final bend.
VIGOROSO - held up final bend.
ALLANDALE - over raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
HOT STARFF - failed to find clear racing room in the early to middle stages of the home straight. Lay in late in the home straight.
KOTARE ELITE - raced wide early stages.
CLIFTON TACTIC - had to be steadied passing the 1750 metres.
RUBY TUES BAY - held up for racing room in the latter stages of the home straight.
FRINGEBENEFIT - raced wide early stages. Raced wide from the 1400 metres. Gave ground passing the 550 metres with a post race Veterinary examination revealing a respiratory nasal discharge with a Veterinary clearance required prior to resuming racing. Driver N Williamson was advised to exercise care when shifting ground near the 1750 metres.
Race 7   SPK INDUSTRIES PACE
HAZER - broke at the start. Paced roughly and broke near the 1600 metres.
THABOYZ TOY - broke at the start.
ITZ A MAJOR BABE - shifted inwards racing into the first bend making contact with the legs of BOOMER. Driver J Cox defended a breach of Rule of 869(3)(b) for careless driving. After hearing the evidence and viewing the films the JCA found the charge proved, with Mr Cox's licence being suspended for 2 days, from close of racing on 12th May up to and including the 18th May 2019.
PAY ME VISA - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
TANGO DANCER - Driver M Williamson advised the filly had hung on several occasions.
BOOMER - underwent a pre race Veterinary examination due to not having started for a substantial period of time. Broke near the 2000 metres when racing to the inside of ITZ A MAJOR BABE.
Race 8   YALDHURST HOTEL MOBILE PACE
PAUL'S VERDICT - hung out early stages of the home straight.
SAGINAW - hung inwards and inconvenienced BE MINE TONIGHT which had to be steadied entering the home straight, then paced roughly and broke briefly, settled then continued to pace roughly for the remainder of the race.
GABBY'S STAR - hampered by breaking runner passing the 100 metres.
MUCHO MACHO MAN - raced wide early stages.
BE MINE TONIGHT - placed in restricted room between SAGINAW and PAUL'S VERDICT entering the home straight.
Race 9   NEXT RACEMEETING 30TH MAY HANDICAP TROT
PAT THE MONKEY - held up final bend.
BEST OF THE BUNCH - underwent a pre race Veterinary examination due to not having started for a substantial period of time. Broke at the start losing all chance.
DON'T LOOK BACK - hampered by breaking runner passing 1800 metres.
BONO HEST - hampered by breaking runner passing 1800 metres. Held up final bend.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - broke near the 1800 metres. Over raced middle stages. Trotted roughly then broke passing the 750 metres. Driver J Morrison advised the gelding had been striking the sulky rounding the first bend.
ROBBIE ROYALE - raced wide into first bend.
