Race 1   CARTOWN HANDICAP TROT
MACKALI - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke near the 1900 metres when trailing the field. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start manners.
COMMANDO ONE - over-raced middle stages. Held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
Race 2   ROYDEN WILLIAMS PHOTOGRAPHY MOBILE PACE
DOWNTOWN BABE - paced roughly near the 1400 metres. Broke for several strides near the 1050 metres.
ZIP CODE - paced roughly when placed under pressure passing the 100 metres and broke for several strides.
HE'S GRATIS - back from position throughout the score up. Driver B Taylor was warned to make a greater effort to have his horse in position in the future. Gave ground from the 500 metres.
SONNY REACTOR - over-raced during the score up and broke prior to dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Continued to pace roughly at various stages of the running. Gave ground from the 500 metres. Trainer W Fleming advised that the gelding had cast its off-fore plate during the score up.
Race 3   BRUSHSTROKES MOBILE PACE
NICKY JAY - broke in the score up and was well back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners. Broke passing the 1900 metres and was retired from the event. A warning was also placed on the filly's racing manners. Trainer K Goss advised the filly would be withdrawn for the second day.
CHALBERG - paced roughly for several strides near the 300 metres.
VERDELHO - inconvenienced in the middle stages of the score up but recovered prior to dispatch. Inconvenienced briefly passing the 300 metres.
JAMIE FRASER - raced erratically passing the 200 metres and broke briefly.
Race 4   PUSPA ABERNETHY RACING COLOURS MOBILE PACE
HONOUR THE BET - paced roughly and was unable to hold the back of the leader approaching the 1600 metres which enabled AMARO to shift down to fill that position. Continued to pace roughly at various stages of the running.
JACK BATES - paced roughly and then broke briefly passing the 300 metres when at the rear.
Race 5   MEMBERS' MOBILE PACE
T C BUSINESS - broke entering the first turn settling towards the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Raced three wide with cover from the 1150 metres.
WAINGARO MARA - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader.
JACKHAMMER JOE - over-raced in score up but was back a length at dispatch. Driver S Ottley was warned to have her horse in position in the future.
ARTY PHARTY - commenced to improve three wide from the 1600 metres but lay in and was obliged to race three wide without cover for the remainder.
BROOKE'S IMAGE - unable to secure clear running on the final turn and early stages of the run home.
UNCLE DREW - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.

LINCOLN LOVELY - tended to sky its head during the score up.
ITSOKBEINGBETTER - lay out throughout the score up and over the early stages. Held up early final turn.
SCELTA UNO - raced three wide with cover from the 1000 metres.
THE KAPITI EXPRESS - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 1200 metres.
PORT DELIGHT - raced three wide with cover from the 1000 metres.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Trainer M House was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after UNFINISHED BUSINESS was presented with blinds which were not notified. Raced three wide without cover from the 1100 metres.
J BEE - held up early final turn.
Race 7   PRESIDENT'S MOBILE PACE
MOTORING MAJOR - raced three wide early. Tended to lay out under pressure over the final stages.
FANCY SCHMANCY - Driver B Orange reported that he had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the release cord breaking.
Race 8   PGG WRIGHTSON STANDARDBREED MOBILE PACE
SAUCHIEHALL - Trainer J Gameson was charged a $25.00 colour fee. Paced roughly near the 1750 metres.
SARABI - held up early final turn.
GOTTA MOMENT - over-raced middle stages when back on the inner. Held up early final turn.
MOCKINGJAY - raced three wide early and middle stages.
MADDISONS DESIRE - over-raced middle stages when at the rear.
Race 9   1ST RACE 5.23 THURSDAY MOBILE PACE
IVANA FLYBYE - raced three wide early. Broke approaching the 150 metres after the near side front hopple loop dropped due to the carrier coming adrift. Trainer S Telfer was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to ensure that the gear was affixed so as to not come adrift.
THE NIGHT HAWK - broke entering the first turn but soon settled.
WESTAR SAM - inconvenienced early in the run home by a breaking runner.
