Driver D O'Connell advised Stewards that he had been unable to release the gelding's deafeners. Mr O'Connell was issued with a warning for failing to fix these so as not to malfunction. | |
THEODORA HOPE - Raced wide through the early to middle stages. Compounded passing the 500 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance of the mare driver A Beck reported the horse to have been under pressure inside the final 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days. | |
TUHERBS TWO - Briefly hampered passing the 400 metres by a weakening runner. | |

MAD DOG MADDY - Compounded and gave ground from the 600 metres with a post-race veterinary inspection revealing an elevated heart rate with an irregular rhythm. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance. | |
NADIRA FRANCO - Out of position at the start. Junior driver H Clarke was shown the films and issued with a warning to have her runners in place. Heavily checked passing the crossing and breaking for several strides losing ground. | |
MRS WASHINGTON - Hampered over the final stages of the score up by a slow front line runner. The all clear was delayed when driver K Newman advised he wished to view the films of the start. Despite being held up by COME A KNOCKIN and being out of position Mr Newman, and the Stewards, were satisfied this did not materially prejudice this runners chances with dividends cleared accordingly. | |
