Race 1   HAREWOOD TAVERN AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
ZULU COURAGE - back slightly at the start after making contact with the barrier in the score up and paced roughly as a result. Paced roughly near the 1500 metres. Weakened from the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ALEXY - held up near the 500 metres by a tiring runner. Driver C Negus was warned for her lack of judgement at this stage of the race when not improving her position outwards when an opportunity existed.
TROMPEUR - back slightly at the start. Hampered by a weakening runner passing the 700 metres.
Race 2   THE TYRE GENERAL PACE
SHEZ GORGEOUS - began awkwardly. Paced roughly near the 400 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight. Driver T Chmiel reported he did not activate the removable deafeners.
FRANCO HATTON - held up in the home straight.
THE DIVA - held up in the home straight. Driver S Ottley reported that she did not activate the removable deafeners.
ULTIMATE SWIFT - raced wide early stages. Broke near the 100 metres when racing in restricted room.
SHERRY BABY - broke at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Held up in the home straight. Shifted outwards near the 100 metres with ULTIMATE SWIFT (D Keast) breaking in consequence. Driver B Munro defended a charge of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the JCA upheld the charge and Mr Munro's Horseman's Licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 31 March up to and including 7 April 2019 (3 days).
THE FONZ - broke at the start. Paced roughly entering the home straight. Driver C Thornley reported the gelding had cast the near hind shoe during the running.
LAST ONE GRIN - paced roughly in the early stages and then broke with 1800 metres to run.
Race 3   KIRK IRRIGATION MOBILE PACE
GOODTHINGSTAKETIME - crowded racing into the first bend. Over-raced middle stages.
MIDNIGHT IN MEMPHIS - trainer J Howe was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the colt was presented with the incorrect number. Crowded racing into the first bend.
JAEDEN - driver B Hope was warned for the manner he drove racing into the first bend when crowding inside runners. Mr Hope was also warned for using his whip outside the confines of the sulky in the home straight.
LILAC CHANGE - a false start was declared when LILAC CHANGE broke in the score up checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver S Ottley elected to remain in her allocated barrier position for the re-start. Broke again as the start was effected. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
COMFORTABLY NUMB - broke in the score up at the second attempt losing its chance.
MARKHAM EYRE - held up for a distance passing the 400 metres. Junior driver K Newman, assisted by T Williams, admitted using his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of the Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended Mr Newman's Horseman's Licence from the conclusion of racing on 25 March up to and including 30 March 2019 (3 days).
PRESIDENT PAT - hung inwards throughout. Broke near the 50 metres.
THE LAST STRAW - weakened leaving the final bend.
AVEROSS SPITFIRE - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 4   FARMLANDS WAIMATE & MCMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS TROT
SIERRA GOLD - broke shortly after the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MUCHACHA BONITA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
AMULET - held up early stages of the run home.
MAJICION - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
KEN'S DREAM - weakened from the 500 metres. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
RAZOR - broke at the start. Broke again near the 1800 metres. Driver M Anderson reported the gelding had over-raced throughout.
AORANGI - raced wide early stages. Broke with 1600 metres to run. Broke late in the run home and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing being awarded under Rule 870(5) and the Breaking Horse Regulations in that the colt was lapped on by DESERT WINGS. Trainer/driver K Townley did not contest the protest and the JCA relegated AORANGI to 2nd place. Authorisation of 2nd place was further withheld until Stewards were satisfied the colt had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking near the 1600 metres.
SUPERFAST LAD - broke near the 300 metres.
Race 5   PINELEA FARMS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
NICOLE - held up final bend.
CANSTAR - briefly locked wheels with ALREADY GONE as the start was effected.
ALREADY GONE - briefly locked wheels with CANSTAR as the start was effected. Checked racing into the first bend.
SZYBKA LANE - reluctant to leave the pre-race formation however was able to take up its position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
BEAUDIENE OVERTAKE - raced erratically racing into the first bend and broke checking trailing runners. Stood down pending one satisfactory trial.
DIAMOND SHADOW - broke briefly in the score up. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
I MISS MUM - a shadow roll was applied to the gear of the filly prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Checked in the score up and was back several lengths at the start. Checked racing into the first bend. Declared a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start.
JESSIE KELLY - checked racing into the first bend.
DREAM ON JAFFA - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 6   BRIAN LOW MEMORIAL / WAIMATE VET CENTRE PACE
IDEAL RULE - broke at the start. Over-raced middle stages.
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Paced roughly for a distance passing the 500 metres. Hung inwards final bend and struck pylons.
FRANKIE JONES - paced roughly in the early stages.
MIGHTY MONICA - Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination after the filly took fright when returning to the stabling area and kicked out. This examination revealed an abrasion to the near hind leg.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - crowded at the start and broke.
TIEBREAKER - raced wide around the first bend.
JUST N AWE - began awkwardly. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
GOTTA FUTURE - broke at the start.
IKNOW - checked and broke at the start.
RUSSIAN EXPRESS - checked and broke at the start. Driver D Keast was spoken to for the manner he drove near the 1800 metres when restraining his runner into its correct gait.
PINE CONE - raced wide around the first bend.

TOPNOTCH EAGLE - broke near the 500 metres.
HOLLY TROUBLE - weakened from the 500 metres. Trainer W Stapleton advised the mare would be retired from racing.
COUNT EYRE - broke near the 300 metres when leading.
EASY PICKINGS - trotted roughly in the home straight.
TEQUILA SUNSET - broke near the 550 metres.
DOLLY JONES - paced in the early stages and had to be broken up by its driver losing all chance.
MICKEY JAY - paced away and had to be broken up by its driver losing all chance.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - over-raced passing the 1700 metres.
Race 8   SOUTHFUELS KEEPING PRIMARY INDUSTRIES MOVING MOBILE PACE
FRANCO RIOT - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
SCOTLYNN HARRY - paced roughly in the home straight.
PAT CAMPBELL - raced wide in the early stages. Driver J Young reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 100 metres.
THAT ALEXANDER GUY - held up throughout the home straight.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home. Driver D Keast admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly passing the 100 metres when allowing his runner to strike the sulky wheel of PAT CAMPBELL which punctured. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
DYING TO SEE YOU - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.

DOCTOR TIM - broke at the start. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
MACHSGAIN - fractious prior to the start.
OVERARM - broke at the start.
BRINGITONHOME - fractious prior to the start. Broke at the start. Paced roughly in the middle stages. Hung outwards and broke passing the 350 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
GO DAVEY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
JOHNNY EYRE - held up early stages of the run home.
JOHNNY WHITE - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
THREE IDEAS - fractious prior to the start.
Race 10   STALLIONS AUSTRALIASIA HANDICAP TROT
RED HOT ROCKET - lay outwards and shifted up the track marginally passing the 75 metres despite the efforts of driver G Smith. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing under Rule 869A(2) alleging interference to TRICK STAR placed 5th near the 75 metres. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the JCA upheld the protest and RED HOT ROCKET was relegated to 5th placing.
ZEDDIE MARIT - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the event.
ONE OVER DOVER - trotted roughly with 1800 metres to run. Broke racing over the crossing with 1450 metres to run. Over-raced through the middle stages. Broke again with 600 metres to run. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SODS LAW - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the event.
TRICK STAR - held up early stages of the run home. Checked passing the 75 metres. Promoted to 4th placing by the JCA.
Race 11   IRT MOBILE PACE
BELLA ROZA - held up early stages of the run home.
LEADING THE WAY - raced wide early and middle stages. Driver J Morrison was warned for jostling for a position passing the 1200 metres.
DONEGAL CARRICKFIN - paced roughly through the early stages and had to be steadied. Driver J Dunn was warned for jostling for a position passing the 1200 metres.
MR MIDNIGHT - held up on the final bend.
GOD ONLY KNOWS - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MELT DOWN - broke in the score up however was able to take up its allocated barrier position at the start. Struck pylons passing the 1100 metres.
