Co-Trainer J DeFilippi advised Stewards on 28 February that KING OF HEROES has recovered well following its run at
Addington last week and will continue with its current preparation.
Trainer M Brown advised Stewards on 28 February that MATTHEW EYRE has recovered well following its performance at Addington last week. Mr Brown added that he has decided not to spell the horse and will race on the West Coast circuit next weekend.

Race 1   CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE TROT
HIDE N SPEAK - trotted roughly throughout the run home and was unable to be driven out with any vigour.
MIKEMARO - inclined to lay inwards when racing around the bends. Trotted roughly in the home straight and broke over the concluding stages and continued on in a break across the finish line - less than 50 metres, not lapped on with no action taken.
NATIVE ONEINAMILLION - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke again near the 850 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
RESONATE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Declared unruly for future mobile starts.
MILLY AN EYRE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground.
SHE'S SO COOL - trotted roughly in the early stages. Locked wheels briefly with PRINCE TEKA near the 200 metres.
AORANGI - broke in the score up losing all chance.
PRINCE TEKA - locked wheels briefly with SHE'S SO COOL near the 200 metres.
MUCHACHA BONITA - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
Race 2   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS MOBILE PACE
REFLECTIONSOFMYLIFE - weakened considerably from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, co-trainer/driver T Chmiel advised the horse had felt lethargic throughout and he was disappointed with the performance. He added he would be having blood tests taken and will advise the results to Stewards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
ALREADY GONE - when questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer B Ward advised the mare had benefited from an economical trip from a handy draw and had appreciated a drop in class for tonight's assignment.
BOMBSHELL - weakened final bend.
GLENTHORNE - when questioned regarding the performance, driver S Tomlinson explained she did not receive a run to suit and was not disappointed with the gelding's effort.
PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM - out of position at the start. Driver M Williamson was cautioned to maintain his barrier position in future. Lay inwards throughout.
Co-Trainer T Chmiel advised Stewards on 9 March that REFLECTIONSOFMYLIFE was found to be suffering from a virus following its disappointing performance at Addington on 1 March and is having a brief freshen up before resuming.
Race 3   IRT HARNESS JEWELS HOSPITALITY PACKAGES ON SALE PACE
I'M JIMMY JAMES - Stewards questioned driver K Butt regarding the tactics adopted in particular the reason why she elected not to improve through the middle stages when the opportunity presented itself to follow the three wide line forward. Miss Butt explained that the gelding had been used during the middle stages two starts ago at Invercargill and failed to finish the race off competitively, is best suited when driven for one run and she had anticipated being carted into the race sooner than what had transpired tonight. She further added that I'M JIMMY JAMES will continue to be driven like this in future with this comment confirmed by trainer J Cox. Miss Butt's explanation was noted.
ROZZANO - broke at the start. Paced roughly final bend losing ground.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - broke at the start.
CHELSEA ELLA - broke shortly after the start.
Race 4   TELFER'S ELECTRICAL MOBILE PACE
LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
CULLENMORE - broke in the score up hampering SCOTLYNN HARRY with a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Driver M Williamson elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the re-start. The connections advised they would be considering making gear changes prior to the gelding racing next.
PAT CAMPBELL - raced keenly on the first bend when being restrained to take a trail.
MISS ETHEL SUNSHINE - had to be steadied on the first bend when awkwardly placed to the inside of DARK RAGE. As a result the mare locked wheels with WITH THE BAND which was racing to its inside.
DARK RAGE - raced wide early stages. Placed inside runners in restricted room rounding the first bend. Junior driver K Newman, in the presence of Senior Horseman M Williamson, was shown the films and cautioned for the manner in which he drove at this stage of the race. Held up early stages of the run home.
BELLA VELOCE - over-raced first bend when being restrained to take cover. Raced keenly around the final bend.
SENORITA MARGARITA - driver C DeFilippi was cautioned to ensure that he drives with both feet in the sulky footrests in future.
CINDY BROMAC - broke at the re-start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SCOTLYNN HARRY - held up final bend and through the early and middle stages of the run home.
WITH THE BAND - briefly locked wheels with MISS ETHEL SUNSHINE on the first bend and had to be steadied.
Race 5   THANKS FOR 44 YEARS OF SERVICE GERARD RENNELL TROT
UNIQUE MARSHALL - broke at the start, failing to settle and was retired from the event.
SOME TIME - broke at the start.
DON'T ROCK THE BOAT - trotted roughly on the final bend and had to be steadied when inconvenienced by a tiring runner.
BK DAWN - over-raced early and middle stages.
UNIQUE ROSE - broke at the start.
WESTEROS - slow early stages. Improved three wide to race parked from the 1000 metres. Weakened final bend.
Race 6   MICO PLUMBING HORNBY (JUNIOR DRIVERS) HANDICAP PACE
EASTWOOD CHIEFTAIN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
DOCTOR TIM - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Inclined to lay inwards through the early stages of the run home.
NUI BA DEN - began awkwardly.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - broke briefly at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trainer R Todd advised Stewards he would give consideration to restricting the horse to mobile starts in the immediate future.
ALL ABOUT HENRY - trainers D & A Jones were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after ALL ABOUT HENRY was presented without the notified blinds. Weakened passing the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was showing signs of colic and was treated on course. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
Co-Trainer D Jones advised Stewards on 9 March that ALL ABOUT HENRY has been sent for a lengthy spell.
Race 7   HARAS des TROTTEURS SIRES STAKES CLASSIQUE (MOBILE TROT)
AMULET - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
BULLER WHITEBAIT - out of position at the start. Driver K Hadfield was issued with a warning. Weakened final bend.
Race 8   BOOK SPECTATORS - FREE COURTESY VAN RACE NIGHTS MOBILE PACE
STARS TONIGHT - slightly out of position at the start.
EUREKA - raced fiercely in the score up. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Race 9   HYDROFLOW TROT
HEAVENLY LOVE - tangled away.
WOT UP - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
FOREIGNER - shifted down the track as the start was effected causing inside runners to be crowded.
Race 10   COCA-COLA AMATIL MOBILE PACE
LONDON DELIGHT - checked by breaking runner near the 900 metres.
ROCKNROLL KING - broke near the 900 metres checking trailing runners. This gelding must now trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
DONEGAL MARY FRANCIS - raced wide through the early stages.
UPTOWN LADY - out of position at the start despite the late efforts of driver S Ottley. Notwithstanding this, Miss Ottley was advised to make a better effort to ensure she comes up into position correctly when drawn the outside in future.
FUN IN THE DARK - checked by breaking runner near the 900 metres.
GEORGIAS BARON - inconvenienced by breaking runner near the 900 metres.
Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 19 March that ROCKNROLL KING has had its front fetlock injected since last racing.
Race 11   AVON CITY FORD PACE
BETTOR LAVADOS - over-raced early and middle stages. Hung inwards and paced roughly nearing the 1100 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres.
KOROMIKO EYRE - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SHADOW DANCER - weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, trainer L McCormick advised the mare will be sent for a spell.
VALIANT CHARGER - broke at the start losing ground.
