Race 4 - NZ HORSE TRANSPORT JUNIOR DRIVERS TROT
The adjourned inquiry in regards to the manner in which Junior Driver J Morrison (PAT THE MONKEY) used his whip nearing the 450 metres concluded today with Mr Morrison pleading guilty to breaching HRNZ Rule 869(2) and clause (g) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.00.

Race 1   BISHOPDALE & BUSH INN TABS AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
THAT ALEXANDER GUY - held up early stages of the run home.
AVEROSS FERRARI - raced extremely wide in the home straight. Amateur driver W Low was cautioned to ensure he maintains as straight a course as possible in future.
ROMANITE - raced wide in the early stages.
ALEXY - broke in the score up and was a distance back at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   ZEAGOLD QUALITY EGGS/TROPICAL PLANTS RENTALS OAMARU TROT
TOMMY TIDDLER - broke after 150 metres. Broke again at the 1300 metres.
PRINCE TEKA - raced greenly racing into the first bend. Shifted up the track through the run home. Driver K Cameron was cautioned to ensure he maintains a straight course in future.
KEN'S DREAM - broke shortly after the start.
SPUR ME ON GENTLY - broke shortly after the start. Broke at the 1300 metres and again entering the home straight. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MAJICION - broke shortly after the start.

DREAMINSOVER - contacted marker pegs in the score up however was in position at dispatch. Broke after 150 metres hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MACH O'MELLEY - when questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer E Murphy advised the gelding had benefited from an economical trip today.
CHANGED MY MIND - paced roughly just prior to dispatch.
LILAC CHANGE - checked and broke after 150 metres losing ground. Raced roughly nearing the 600 metres.
NICOLE - hampered by breaking runner after 150 metres. Hung inwards and paced roughly near the 900 metres.
Race 4   DYNES TRANSPORT/GRAVES SADDLERY/ HOPE & SONS PACE
IRON WOMAN - slow in the early stages.
LIVING FANTASY - held up late in the run home.
SEFTON HOOLIGAN - paced roughly with 100 metres to run.
I CAN REMEMBER - broke at the start.
ONEDIN SMILER - raced wide in the early stages.
SMIRKEN - raced wide in the early stages.
TERRA FIRMA - slow to begin. Broke racing over the course crossing nearing the 1600 metres losing its chance.
LOCK IT IN EDDIE - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.

TEHORO TEASE - fractious prior to the start and began awkwardly.
MONIBURNS - displayed poor barrier manners and as a result Starter W Ferguson turned the field away to re-address the barrier.
TEQUILA SUNSET - broke at the start.
DON'T LOOK BACK - broke shortly after the start.
Race 6   GARDENS NEW WORLD/MORRISONS SADDLERY PACE
LADY'S LASS - broke at the start.
JACKS N JAZZ - broke shortly after the start and continued on in a gallop for a considerable distance losing its chance.
BRONX VILLAGE - broke at the start.
STAR PAIGE - broke at the start.
KNOCKMANAUGH - broke at the start.
BOBBIE'S MEDLEY - paced roughly and faltered passing the 450 metres losing ground and was not persevered with thereafter.
Race 7   AIRPARK CANTERBURY/WAIKOUAITI FISH INN MOBILE PACE
JOHNNY WHITE - contacted marker pegs in the score up however was in position at dispatch. Held up throughout the run home.
THE TIN SOLDIER - raced keenly around the final bend. Driver M Williamson advised the deafeners were not activated due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
FIRST SON - raced wide early stages. Raced keenly middle stages for a brief period.
Stewards spoke with Starter W Ferguson and the mobile driver with regard to the position of the mobile entering the straight.
Race 8   OAMARU VETS/SPEIGHTS BREWERIES/PETER LYON SHEARING HCP TROT
HELGA'S MONARCH - displayed poor barrier manners and was sent to the unruly position by the Starter where it will remain for its future standing starts.
KASH VALLEY - broke racing into the first bend losing its chance.
LADY ZARA - hung outwards and broke near the 450 metres inconveniencing trailing runner.
SUNNY GLENIS - hampered by breaking runner near the 450 metres.
ROCKNPOP - tangled away. Hampered and broke briefly near the 450 metres.
ONE OVER DOVER - held up until late in the run home.
HIGHLAND STAR - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again near the 350 metres.
SPOTLIGHT THE VALLEY - broke shortly after the start. Broke again racing over the course crossing near the 1600 metres.
ONE OVER DA STARS - broke near the 350 metres.
Race 9   LLENNOCO LTD JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
GOD ONLY KNOWS - driver S Diamant was spoken to advisedly regarding activating all removable gear in future.
KANSAS CITY JIM - driver K Tomlinson came to the start out of position and when restraining this gelding made contact with the inside wheel of THE KAIK. Miss Tomlinson (assisted by Senior Horseman M Williamson), was show the films and spoken to advisedly in regard to leaving the pre-race circle and coming into her correct position in future. Out of position at the re-start. Driver K Tomlinson was issued with a warning. Raced keenly through the middle stages.
THE KAIK - a false start was declared after driver K Butt signalled to the Starter she had an issue with a sulky wheel after it was struck in the score up. Out of position at the re-start. Driver K Butt was issued with a warning. Broke briefly losing ground passing the 950 metres hampering trailing runner.
PAUL'S VERDICT - out of position at the re-start. Driver M Lewis was issued with a warning. Inconvenienced by breaking runner near the 950 metres.
JUST N AWE - held up through the middle stages of the run home.
Race 10   GLAMOUR HOOVES RACING STABLES (AMBER HOFFMAN) MOBILE PACE
VALZONA - raced roughly after 200 metres. Blundered near the 600 metres and lost ground.
HOT STARFF - raced wide early stages.
PADUKA - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Orange could only explain the gelding was of limited ability.
LILAC BECKY - held up early stages of the run home.
FUTURA EASTON - raced wide early stages.
SHEEZA SPORT - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
MISS PINOCCHIO - lay in over the final stages.
