FORTUNATO - slow to begin. Broke near the 1750 metres losing its chance.
SUNNY PEGASUS - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field.
THE LAST GAMBLE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SAINT MICHEL - broke at the start and trailed the field throughout.
Race 2   NORTHERN OAKS/DERBY NOMS CLOSE 11AM FEB 15 MOBILE PACE
PEGASUS KOMMANDER - broke passing the 300 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. Driver A Poutama advised that he suspected that the gelding had jumped a shadow. Trainer T Vince advised that he would be applying a shadow roll for future races. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
THE STUNNING NUN - raced three wide without cover from inside the 1300 metres.
AWESOME SPEED - inconvenienced by a breaking runner passing the 300 metres.
TROUBADOR - attempted to lead the whole journey and shifted out under pressure in the run home.
ABOUT TURN - raced three wide with cover from the 1300 metres.
LAGERTHA - raced three wide with cover approaching the 1100 metres.
FOREVER PEARL - inconvenienced by a breaking runner passing the 300 metres.
PRIME SILVER - inconvenienced by a breaking runner passing the 300 metres.
RECCO LOVER - raced three wide with cover from the 1300 metres and was inclined to lay in and shift ground inwards when racing toward the lead approaching the 100 metres with Driver D Butcher taking corrective action.
Race 3   HYDROFLOW HANDICAP TROT
FORGET THE PRICE TAG - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
MR GOOD AND EVIL - broke shifting outwards in a gallop shortly after the start losing ground.
BONNIE HIGHLANDER - broke approaching the 400 metres losing its chance. Driver J Dickie advised that the mare was having its first start right handed and had handled the track well over the initial stages of the race but when improving rounding the home bend lay in and lost its gait.
LOVELY BUNDY - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
MAJESTIC ALI - broke passing the 400 metres when avoiding a breaking runner.
HEAVYWEIGHT HERO - the gelding was having its first run since 26 October and from its 30 metre handicap raced at the rear of the body of the main field, received a slight check inside the 400 metres avoiding galloping runners and battled on to finish 7th beaten 8 lengths. Trainer Driver T Macfarlane was not overly disappointed given the tempo of its first up run.
Race 4   WOODLANDS STUD DERBY NIGHT 'TURNING UP AP' MARCH 8 MOB PACE
TRIPLE EIGHT - paced roughly over the final 150 metres.
JACK'S LEGEND - contacted track markers passing the 1300 metres and again rounding the final bend. Driver S Phelan was cautioned in regard to his obligations not to contact track markers.
ZEALAND STAR - lay in throughout the score up, paced roughly after the start before losing its gait rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
Race 5   LINCOLN FARMS BLOODSTOCK MOBILE PACE
BEAUDIENE EMERALD - Trainer A Poutama was charged a $25 colour fee.
BETTERTHANKATY - failed to get clear racing room throughout the length of the home straight.
HAPPY PLACE - held up rounding the final bend. Driver J Stormont dropped his left foot from the sulky footrest when activating gear passing the 200 metres. Mr Stormont was shown the video coverage and cautioned as it was perceived that he may have accidentally contacted the horses near hind hoof when returning his foot to the footrest.
KOLOVOS - broke racing into the first bend to the inside of NOTORIOUS, losing two lengths before settling. Stewards questioned Driver M McKendry who explained that the colt has a wide action in behind with his near hind hoof brushing the wheel of the sulky of NOTORIOUS causing it to become unbalanced. After reviewing the video coverage no action was warranted.
GAMBIT - improved three wide inside the 1300 metres and proceeded to lay in passing the 1100 metres then hung in badly breaking from its gait approaching the 900 metres when racing outside the leaders, recovering after losing four lengths. Lay in rounding the final bend. A final warning was placed against the gelding's racing manners.
Race 6   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS NORTHERN OAKS MARCH 1 MOBILE PACE
CHEDDAR'S PRINCESS - after leading, weakened over the latter stages of the race. Driver S Phelan advised that he could not activate the removable deafeners. Co-trainers J & J Dickie were issued a warning in regard to the gear malfunction.
THE BLUE BEAT - paced roughly inside the final 300 metres rounding the bend into the straight.
KENSINGTON KATE - lay in throughout the race and raced at the rear of the main body of the field momentarily losing contact rounding the final bend before running on when balanced in the run home. Trainer R Dunn advised that he would make corrective gear changes.
WESTBURN YIELD - paced roughly on a number of occasions and in particular rounding the final bend.
MISTY MEMORY - held up rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home.
Race 7   CROMBIE LOCKWOOD BLOODSTOCK 2YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE
YOHA - paced unevenly rounding the first bend.
AMAZING DREAM - raced three wide early.
A DELIGHTFUL ACT - raced greenly over the early and middle stages before improving three wide without cover from the 800 metres.
Race 8   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS HANDICAP TROT
Due to a number of fractious horses delaying the start Stewards exercised leniency in regard to their racing manners.
INVICTUS - fractious prior to the start, delaying the start. Lay in throughout the run home.
BLUE COMAN - broke 100 metres after the start losing ground and broke again approaching the 400 metres losing its chance.
VATICAN HILL - galloped a distance shortly after the start and settled toward the rear of the field.
SPEEDY LAVROS - stood on the mark and refused to go away and took no part in the race. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start manners.
COMEDY ACT - broke approaching the 1800 metres. Contacted pylons rounding the final turn.
FIRA - removed from the unruly list for standing starts.
Race 9   IRT MOBILE PACE
JAKIRA - lay in rounding the first bend.
TAMARA GOLD - weakened out quickly during the course of the run home.
BANNER OF ART - three wide early. Lay in rounding the bend entering the straight for the run home.
BUGALUGS - raced three wide with cover from inside the 1100 metres.
M T POCKETS - over-raced in the score up. Raced three wide from inside the 1200 metres.
