Race 1   TAVERN HAREWOOD AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
SHARDAN SUZIE - held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
RUSSIAN EXPRESS - lay inwards in the early stages of the home straight. Driver A Edge was warned to ensure he makes a greater effort to ensure he leaves the passing lane clear for trailing runners.
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start.
CAESAR'S QUEST - driver W Frost reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
MYBOYLOLLIEPOP - raced wide in the middle stages. Driver P Cook was warned for failing to check in after the race.
MR MIDNIGHT - driver B Wilmott dropped his foot from the sulky footrest near the 300 metres to activate gear resulting in accidental contact to the hind leg of his runner. Notwithstanding this Mr Wilmott was shown a replay and warned to ensure this does not occur in future.
SELENA FRANCO - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
QUEEN OF GLORY - lay outwards in the early stages of the home straight.
PEMBROOK BLUE - driver M Stratford admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
Race 2   PGG WRIGHTSON STANDARDBRED / TEAM TEAL TROT
FAST WET N WINDEE - held up early stages of the run home.
TOLDYAH FRANKIE - broke near the 400 metres.
KASH VALLEY - broke briefly at the start.
RUBY SEDDON - lay outwards in the home straight. Hampered by a breaking runner over the concluding stages.
JIMMY CARTER - slow in the early stages.
AORANGI - hung outwards in the home straight. Broke near the 60 metres and continued in a break over the line. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations for galloping in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres. The connections did not contest the protest and AORANGI was disqualified by the JCA.
MAJESTIC ACTION - broke near the 2000 metres.
CLYDE - late scratching at 9.41am on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
Race 3   MARQUEE & EVENT HIRE / TEMUKA TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
LILAC CHANGE - had to be steadied passing the 50 metres when placed in restricted room.
NADIRA FRANCO - driver H Clarke was warned for the manner she drove passing the 1600 metres when attempting to shift ground when insufficiently clear of JIMS MAMA. Held up early stages of the run home. Driver H Clarke reported the cord had broken when she activated the sliding blinds.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M Tapper explained the horse had shown gradual improvement throughout its brief career and felt the horse's maturity levels had increased recently. He added that the mare had trialled well at Ashburton on the 22nd of January and was expecting a more forward showing today.
LOOKINGFORAREACTION - over-raced passing the 1000 metres and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of NADIRA FRANCO due to a slight easing of the pace and paced roughly for a short distance.
JIMS MAMA - struck a pylon when briefly placed in restricted room near the 1600 metres. Hung outwards throughout the run home. Driver R Anderson was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in future.
BELLA VELOCE - driver T Williams reported the deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
JAFA KITTEN - over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 4   MORRISON SADDLERY / TOP 10 HOLIDAY PARK MOBILE PACE
MY PATRONUS - held up by a tiring runner around the final bend. Driver S McNally reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - held up by a tiring runner around the final bend.
TOP BRASS - driver J Dunn was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after being late to arrive on course. Held up by a tiring runner around the final bend.
ROZZANO - trainer C Ferguson was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice after failing to lodge a horse movement notification. Held up for clear racing room in the home straight.
LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN - raced wide early stages. Weakened from the 600 metres hampering trailing runners. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer/driver C Butt could only advise he was disappointed with its effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed slight lameness and pain in the hock region with treatment recommended. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with Mr Butt in the coming days.
EYE CANDY - driver B Munro was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after being late to arrive on course.
JACK'S SHADOW - raced wide early stages.
FORTUNE TILLER - held up by a tiring runner around the final bend. Driver A Stewart reported she was unable to activate the deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
DEN'S LEGACY - driver M Anderson was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after being late to arrive on course. Paced roughly around the final bend and in the home straight.
SANTANNA LAD - paced roughly near the 300 metres.
DYING TO SEE YOU - driver G Smith was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after being late to arrive on course. Held up by a tiring runner around the final bend.
Trainer C Butt advised Stewards on 7 February that LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN has had chiropractic treatment since racing at Orari on 2 February.
Race 5   HAZLETTS RURAL TROT
HIGHLAND STAR - broke at the start. Trotted roughly in the home straight and broke late in the run home and continued in a gallop across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing under Rule 870(5) and the Breaking Horse Regulations after the gelding was lapped on at the finish by ROCKNPOP, SUNNY GLENIS, IMRAN KHAN and FOREIGNER. The connections did not contest the protest and HIGHLAND STAR was relegated to 5th placing by the JCA.
RARANGI OPAL - broke shortly after the start. Again broke near the 400 metres. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion prior to resuming.
FIREMAN - began awkwardly.
LARCH - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver S Ottley reported the gelding had failed to respond when placed under pressure and had been disappointing. Stewards will follow up the gelding's recovery with the connections in the coming days.
SCARLETT LANE - raced wide early stages.
WANDERING STAR - raced wide without cover from the 900 metres.
STELLAR SUCCESS - hampered by breaking runners at the start.
ROCKNPOP - over-raced in the early stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
RUSTY I AM - co-trainer P Wakelin advised that the gelding has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing. Raced wide early stages.
Trainer R Todd advised Stewards on 6 February that LARCH will no longer race from his stable.

MELODY POND - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Held up by a tiring runner passing the 400 metres. Paced roughly in the home straight when in search of clear racing room.
PACIFIC CHAL - weakened from the 400 metres.
I MISS MUM - held up by a tiring runner passing the 400 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
MYNANASGOTNOTEETH - over-raced for a distance passing the 1100 metres.
OHOKA MATTY - driver B Orange was warned to ensure his whip remains within the confines of his sulky.
ART BANKER - raced keenly in the early stages.
Race 7   HANLEY FORMULA ORARI CHALLENGE STAKES MOBILE TROT
CALL ME TROUBLE - raced greenly in the score up and broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
CARLTON - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Continued to trot roughly during the running and lost ground as a result rounding the final bend.
GET LUCKY - hung inwards throughout the home straight.
FULL NOISE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
ENHANCE YOUR CALM - driver T Williams reported he did not activate the deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 8   PINELEA FARM 'TERROR TO LOVE' MOBILE PACE
HIGHLAND REIGN - hung inwards and struck pylons on the final bend.
DIVINIA BELLEZZA - raced wide early stages. Held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
KOTARE YOLANDE - trainer R Dunn was fined $150 by the JCA after KOTARE YOLANDE was presented without the notified pacifier. The boring pole was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Raced wide early stages.
Race 9   PLACEMAKERS TIMARU & TWIZEL PACE
SHADOW DANCER - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
TAUMALOLO - held up on the final bend and struck pylons. Continued to be held up for the remainder of the race and paced roughly near the 200 metres. Driver L O'Reilly advised the deafeners were not activated in consequence.
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - hung outwards rounding the final bend and lost ground. Struck pylons near the 300 metres.
IRON WOMAN - broke briefly near the 250 metres. Driver B Laughton advised that the mare had paced roughly throughout and he would be recommending gear changes.
SMIRKEN - hung inwards throughout the run home and paced roughly.
FUSITUA - broke at the start. Held up early stages of the run home.
SOCIAL MEDIA - briefly locked wheels with SHEELASINLEAGUE near the 600 metres and broke for a short distance. Paced roughly in the home straight.
SHEELASINLEAGUE - briefly locked wheels with SOCIAL MEDIA near the 600 metres. Hampered near the 250 metres by a breaking runner.
RAGING THUNDER - broke at the start. Struck pylons leaving the final bend.

I'LDOITMYWAY - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, trainer B Williams advised the mare had appreciated a return to racing on a grass track.
BK DAWN - co-trainer P Wakelin advised that the mare has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
CLOVER LADY - broke near the 350 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SUCH FUN - pre-race warmed.
ONE OVER DOVER - held up early stages of the run home. Trotted roughly in the home straight and was unable to be driven out.
YOUNG STRANGER - broke near the 2000 metres losing all chance.
REBEL KIBBYBONES - the near side number hung loose during the running.
ONE OVER DA SKYE - late scratching at 7.56am on veterinary advice.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - raced wide early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1900 metres. Weakened final bend.
Race 11   GERALDINE ITM & NELSON PINE HANDICAP PACE
There was a slight delay to the start of this race when the winning post mirror had to be covered as it was casting a shadow across the track.
GOTTA FUTURE - broke at the start.
RUBY TUES BAY - fractious prior to the start and reared. Broke briefly at the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
KATAMACH - broke at the start and slipped its overcheck. Weakened final bend.
GIMMEFIVEMINUTESMORE - when spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, driver B Hope explained that the horse had lacked speed on the grass surface however had been pleased with the gelding's effort.
LINTON SHARD - raced wide from the 1000 metres.
