Race 9 - DIAMOND CREEK FARM NEW ZEALAND PACING DERBY (MOBILE PACE)
Driver M Williamson was fined $100 for being late to present GLOBAL DOMINATION onto the track.
Rangiora HRC - Sunday, 7th April 2019
Race 11 - DAWE CONTRACTING LTD MOBILE PACE
Driver L O'Reilly (WITH THE BAND) defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly racing into the first bend by shifting inwards when insufficiently clear of OHOKA MATTY (J Alford) and GARRY'S LEGACY (J Dunn) which were both checked. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the JCA upheld the charge and Mr O'Reilly's Horseman's Licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 22 April up to and including 5 May 2019 (3 days).

Race 2 - SOUTHERN STANDARDBRED BREEDERS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
Trainer R Todd advised Stewards on 17 April that CHAMPERS has been treated for an airways infection since racing at Winton on 13 April.
Rangiora HRC - Sunday, 14th April 2019
Race 3 - BALCAIRN STOCKFEEDS MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer T Chmiel advised Stewards on 17 April that REFLECTIONSOFMYLIFE has had a wind operation since racing at Rangiora on 14 April.
Race 10 - TRIPRO PROJECT MANAGEMENT MOBILE PACE
Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 17 April that BORN TO RUN was found to have a high white blood cell count after racing at Rangiora on 14 April with this now being treated.

Race 1   GARRARDS SIRES STAKES SERIES No.36 (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE
EL DORADO - paced roughly shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
SMOOTH DEAL - broke after 100 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt.
Race 2   CHRISTCHURCH CASINO/$5,000 BONUS EARLY QUADDIE TROT
MIDNIGHT ASSASSIN - raced keenly in the middle stages. Trotted roughly and broke near the 50 metres. The gelding was treated by the veterinarian for a laceration to the off fore fetlock.
UNIQUE MARSHALL - broke nearing the 900 metres and continued in a break for the remainder of the event despite the efforts of its driver. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
THE BLOSS - broke at the start.
MONARO MARO - broke at the start losing its chance.
OVERZEALOUS - driver C Thornley advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MISSALYSSA - crowded as the start was effected. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened from the 600 metres.

LILAC BECKY - paced roughly shortly after the start. Had to be restrained racing into the first bend when placed in restricted room.
CHEVRON SUPREME - broke in the score up losing considerable ground.
CANSTAR - driver T Chmiel defended a charge of careless driving which alleged he shifted ground inwards racing into the first bend when not sufficiently clear of LILAC BECKY (S O'Reilly) which had to be restrained. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers, the JCA dismissed the charge.
Race 4   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE TROT
WHATASISTA - trainer T Bagrie was warned for being late to arrive on course. Mr Bagrie was also issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the mare was presented without the notified blinds. Trotted roughly final bend and had to be steadied. Continued to trot roughly in the home straight.
ZOEY'S GIFT - broke racing into the first bend. Trotted roughly in the home straight. Driver M Williamson reported he would be recommending gear changes prior to the mare resuming. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
ONE OVER DA SKYE - broke in the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
IZMOK - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
RUM IN THE SUN - hung inwards final bend and throughout the run home.
SPLASH COLA - driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
WEE MAN TROUBLE - co-trainers K Barclay and P Ellis were issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to lodge a Horse Movement Notification. Broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ONE OVER DA STARS - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 5   BE IN TO WIN ON MOTHER'S DAY AT spectators.co.nz MOBILE PACE
RINGO'S A STAR - hung inwards in the home straight.
ALREADY GONE - had to be steadied in the home straight after being briefly placed in restricted room when weakening.
ALE ALE KAI - hung outwards in the score up and was back slightly at the candy pole. Hung outwards throughout the run home.
KOROMIKO EYRE - hung inwards in the score up and was back slightly at the candy pole. Held up for clear racing room in the home straight. Driver R May reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
TIGER MOTH - broke in the score up and failed to settle losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 6   CANTERBURY STANDARDBRED BREEDERS STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
SENORITA MARGARITA - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up final bend by a tiring runner. The connections advised the mare would be sent for a spell.
BE MINE TONIGHT - inclined to lay inwards racing around the bends. Held up by tiring runner final bend.
SAMSKARA - driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
KOTARE CULLEN - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SOCIABLE - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver S Ottley advised that the mare had worked hard in the early stages with this taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
Trainer A Stuart advised Stewards on 22 April that SOCIABLE has recovered well from its hard run at Addington on Saturday adding that in his opinion the mare will improve with the run.
Race 7   FAHEY FENCE HIRE HANDICAP TROT
WE'LL MEET AGAIN - inclined to lay inwards throughout.
TIME FOR DIAMONDS - weakened final bend.
VALLORIA - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver J Dunn reported the gelding had over-raced through the middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
WINTERFELL - trotted roughly throughout.
MISSANDEI - briefly held up leaving the final bend.
Race 8   HYDROFLOW 'EASTER BUNNY' HANDICAP PACE
ASHLEY LOCAZ - broke at the start.
ALTA MAESTRO - broke at the start.
LETSPENDANITETOGETHA - broke at the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
EAMON MAGUIRE - broke at the start.
ALTA ORLANDO - held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home. Stewards questioned driver G Smith regarding his decision not to utilise the passing lane in the early stages of the home straight. Mr Smith explained that his horse had been hanging outwards and in his opinion FUNATTHEBEACH, which had shifted inwards ahead of him would continue to take advantage of the passing lane throughout and in doing so deny him access. Given this he explained his best course of action to obtain racing room was to shift outwards where he expected ELLE MAC to give ground enough for him to gain clear racing room however this did not eventuate. Mr Smith added that although he failed to gain clear running and had not activated the gelding's removable gear he was still able to drive the horse out to the finish. After viewing available films and taking into account the explanation tendered by Mr Smith, the matter was taken no further.
Race 9   "MAJESTIC SON" NZ TWO YEAR OLD TROTTING STAKES (MOBILE TROT)
A false start was declared after the bit on CHINSKI broke in the score up. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
A second false start was declared when CHLOE ROSE broke in the score up checking RAIN MIST AND MUSCLE.
DOLLY P - broke in the score up at the first attempt at a start. Driver M Perriton elected to move to the unruly position for the restart where the filly will remain for future mobile starts. Broke in the score up at the second attempt at a start. Broke again in the third attempt at a start losing its chance.
MIDNIGHT DASH - broke near the 300 metres.
CHLOE ROSE - trainer N McGrath was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the mare was presented without the notified blinds. Broke in the score up at the second attempt at a start and checked RAIN MIST AND MUSCLE with a false start being declared. Driver B Orange elected to move to the unruly position for the third attempt at a start where the filly will remain for future mobile starts. Out of position at dispatch.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - driver B Hope advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MUSCULATURE METRO - hung inwards through the middle stages.
FIGHTING FIRE - weakened final bend.
ONE MAJIC KENNY - broke briefly in the score up at the third attempt at a start.
CHINSKI - paced and broke in the score up. A false start was declared after the bit on CHINSKI broke. Paced and broke in the score up at the second attempt at a start. Paced in the score up at the third attempt being well out of position at dispatch. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
RAIN MIST AND MUSCLE - checked in the score up at the second attempt at a start with a false start declared. Returned to the stabling area with blood present in one nostril. An endoscopic examination by the veterinarian revealed an abrasion in the nasal passage and the filly was deemed not to be a bleeder.
ULTIMATE STRIDE - over-raced through the early stages despite the efforts of driver B Williamson to restrain the colt and raced wide rounding the first bend.
Race 10   IRT HARNESS JEWELS HOSPITALITY PACKAGES ON SALE MOBILE PACE
PRO SURFER - paced roughly for a distance passing the 900 metres. Raced wide final bend.
ROCKNROLL KING - paced roughly and broke near the 900 metres. Treated by the veterinarian following the race for a laceration to the near fore cannon bone.
SWEET LORESS - held up early stages of the run home.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - trainer W Low was charged a $25 colour fee. Weakened from the 500 metres.
BETTATHANFAST - pre-race warmed. Shifted outwards marginally near the 150 metres.
BURLINGTON - had to be steadied briefly near the 150 metres when awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of BETTATHANFAST.
Race 11   BLUE STAR TAXIS MOBILE PACE
FRANCO NIVEN - broke shortly after the start checking GLOBAL DOMINATION. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up in the middle stages of the run home. Driver J Dunn advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
TEAM KIWI - broke shortly after the start checking THE GOLDEN BOY. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
NANDOLO - raced wide early stages. Stewards questioned driver J Cox regarding the tactics he adopted passing the 1200 metres when electing not to improve three wide when the opportunity existed. Mr Cox explained that he had been reluctant to progress forward at this stage of the race as at its last start NANDOLO had raced lethargically when in the parked position and in Mr Cox's opinion he would have again been left without cover if he had improved at this point. Stewards accepted that Mr Cox's actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
GLOBAL DOMINATION - checked shortly after the start.
THE GOLDEN BOY - checked shortly after the start.
NAKURU - paced roughly in the home straight.
COPPERHEAD ROSE - held up in the middle stages of the run home.
