Trainer W Breen advised Stewards on 13 April that SANTANNA'S ROCKET was suffering from slight dehydration following its last run at Ascot Park and was given a brief freshen up in consequence.
Race 10 - DIAMONDS DAY 27TH APRIL HANDICAP TROT
Trainer P Williamson advised Stewards on 13 April that SAM GALLEON has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Ascot Park on 6 April and will continue with its current preparation.

Race 1   MURRAY GRAY MEMORIAL TROT
The start of this event was delayed due to the Sulky having to be replaced on CUCHULAINN.
ALPINE RETREAT - held up by a tiring runner passing the 400 metres.
WINNING BONES - weakened from the 400 metres. Subjected to a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer A Hoffman advised she would have the gelding scoped in the coming days and undertook to notify the Stewards of any findings.
MAJESTIC ROLLON - broke near the 100 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
RICHARD THE THIRD - lay inwards passing the 1600 metres when attempting to obtain the lead. Lay inwards leaving the final bend. Broke near the 100 metres.
JACCKA JEORGE - broke prior to the first bend losing considerable ground. Checked after becoming awkwardly placed on the wheel of MAJESTIC ROLLON passing the 80 metres. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking prior to the first bend.
THE POWER BROKER - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend. Held up by a tiring runner passing the 350 metres.
STAR DUDE - raced wide through the early stages. Trotted roughly throughout the run home. Hampered by a breaking runner over the latter stages of the home straight, being forced wider on the track. On return to the birdcage was found to have a considerable amount of blood around its nose and mouth. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be a bleeder for the second time. Stood down for the mandatory 90 day period with connections advised a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination prior to a satisfactory trial would be required prior to STAR DUDE resuming.
BIG IRON - driver T Stratford admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $200 by the JCA.
TOMMY TIDDLER - weakened from the 600 metres.
SOUTH PARK - trainer C Thomas was charged a $25 Colour Fee.
Trainer A Hoffman advised Stewards on 18 April that WINNING BONES has had a throat operation since last racing.
Race 2   SOUTHERN STANDARDBRED BREEDERS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
MAJOR MENACE - paced roughly and broke after 150 metres losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Paced roughly and broke again near the 900 metres losing considerable ground. Held up passing the 450 metres.
COOL IDEA - held up rounding the final bend and early in the home straight. Observed to have blood in its nose on return to the birdcage. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
RAKABEACH - weakened rounding the final bend.
CHAMPERS - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer R Todd in the coming days.
OPAL - broke entering the first bend. Lay inwards rounding the bends throughout. Driver B McLellan was shown the films and spoken to regarding his horse breaking. After hearing Mr McLellan's explanation he was warned for contacting track makers.
SPORTS PAGE - junior driver E Barron was shown the films and warned to ensure her sulky wheel does not protrude inside pylons.
TULSA JACCKA - the inside number came adrift during the running.
Trainer R Todd advised Stewards on 17 April that CHAMPERS has been treated for an airways infection since racing at Winton on 13 April.
Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD COLTS & GELDINGS MOBILE PACE
TONY THE PONY - well out of position at the dispatch. This gelding will now be drawn Unruly for its future mobile engagements. Broke negotiating the first bend.
MELTON MAFIA - weakened rounding the final bend.
THUNDERFROMTHETHRONE - (C Thornley) broke briefly and then raced unkindly in the score-up. Out of position at the start due to TONY THE PONY being out of position. Paced roughly and lay inwards entering the first bend making contact with a track marker and breaking in consequence. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. The payment of dividends were withheld until Mr Thornley confirmed that despite being out of position he had not been denied a fair start. Mr Thornley advised THUNDERFROMTHETHRONE had been striking a knee and he would be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding's next start.
IT'S A LAUGH - placed THUNDERFROMTHETHRONE in restricted room entering the first bend.
FLAMING JIM - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to take cover. Continued to over-race on various occasions throughout. Lay inwards when improving three-wide passing the 1200 metres.
Race 4   YALDHURST HOTEL MOBILE PACE
SHE'S OUTSTANDING - weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Walkinshaw advised the mare had felt lethargic throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed SHE'S OUTSTANDING had recovered well however will undergo a further examination in the coming days. Stewards will follow up with trainer M Saunders.
MAAHES - hampered and checked by a tiring runner passing the 400 metres.
LILAC BECKY - when questioned regarding the performance junior driver S O'Reilly expressed disappointment. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer D Taylor in the coming days.
MAGNATE MARA - hampered by a tiring runner passing the 750 metres.
WHISKYINTHEJAR - over-raced on various occasions throughout. Weakened from the 700 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the filly may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer H Hunter in the coming days.
KOTARE ELITE - hampered by a tiring runner passing the 700 metres.
TAD LINCOLN - over-raced entering the first bend.
Trainer D Taylor advised Stewards on 17 April that LILAC BECKY has recovered well since weakening out in her Winton assignment with Mr Taylor adding that the mare will be driven with a sit if circumstance permit in its future races.
Trainer M Saunders advised Stewards on 23 April that SHE'S OUTSTANDING had blood tests taken after performing at Winton on 13 April with these showing no abnormalities. Mr Saunders added that the mare has recovered well and he has changed its training regime for a resumption at Ascot Park today.
Trainer H Hunter advised Stewards on 23 April that WHISKYINTHEJAR has recovered well since racing at Winton on 13 April and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 5   ALDEBARAN PARK HANDICAP TROT
VENETO - slow to begin. Weakened from the 600 metres.
MATAI JETSTAR - slow to begin. Trotted roughly passing the 1700 metres. Trotted roughly again rounding the final bend, losing ground.
THE BADGER - weakened from the 500 metres.
KENNY'S DREAM - held up leaving the final bend.
DE VITO - driver N Williamson reported the gelding had trotted roughly on various occasions throughout.
KING CASSIDY - broke passing the 150 metres.
Race 6   MARSHALL INDUSTRIES LTD-ROOFING HANDICAP PACE
AVEROSS FERRARI - broke at the start losing its chance.
SON OF LANA - lay outwards leaving the final bend.
LUVTAHAVTIME - broke shortly after the start.
ALTIMETER - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
KAGEE VC - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
TARTAN ROBYN - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend and for the majority of the home straight.
GROOMSMAN - raced lethargically passing the 1100 metres, failing to maintain a consistent pace when leading, despite the efforts of junior driver E Barron. Weakened rounding the final bend.
ROSINUPTHEBOW - broke at the start. Had to be restrained passing the 1100 metres when becoming awkwardly placed on the back of IDEAL BREEZE due to an easing of the pace.
THABOYZ TOY - held up leaving the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
MY GEORGIE BOY - slow to begin.
Race 7   SBS BANK MOBILE PACE
JACKS N JAZZ - Contacted a track marker near the 1700 metres. Held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend. Continued to be held up through the early stages of the home straight, then became awkwardly placed and had to be steadied near the 150 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised that after being held up and then being inconvenienced the gelding was not going to finish any closer and therefore he was not disappointed with the effort.
LOMA JACCKA - held up rounding the final bend.
THE CROUPIER - over-raced through the middle stages when driver E Barron attempted to restrain to take a trail.
ANSETT FLIGHT - raced wide in the early stages. Contacted a track marker entering the final bend. Weakened rounding the final bend.
HURRICANE BANNER - raced wide throughout. Eased wider on the track when under pressure passing the 500 metres.
LOVE THE BLUES - inclined to lay outwards on various occasions throughout. Held up leaving the final bend. Shifted inwards near the 150 metres inconveniencing JACKS N JAZZ. Driver R Swain was shown the films and after hearing his explanation a warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - over-raced passing the 800 metres.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - paced roughly and broke in the score-up being well out of position at the dispatch. The gelding will now be drawn Unruly for its future mobile engagements.
Race 8   ALDEBARAN PARK SUPER GOLD CHIP FINAL TROT
THAT'S THE STORY - weakened on the final bend.
CHRISTMAS BABE - broke at the start losing all chance.
ROBBIE ROYALE - broke after 150 metres. Broke again passing the 1600 metres, eventually being retired from the event.
WHATWILLBEEWILLBEE - displayed poor barrier manners. Weakened from the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 9   WINTON BUSINESSES CUP HANDICAP PACE
RAFFY ROO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. This gelding was placed on the Unruly for its future standing start engagements.
ARDENT LUSTRE - weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised the gelding had raced hard early and this effort had taken its toll over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
BENIO BEN - broke shortly after the start.
PLEASE SHUDDUP - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 10   SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES FINAL MARES MOBILE PACE
LILAC STAR - lay inwards entering the first bend placing RAKSBET in restricted room.
I'MALLABOUTTHEBASE - awkwardly place on the wheel of DIVINIA BELLEZZA having to be restrained entering the first bend. Over-raced in the middle stages.
DIVINIA BELLEZZA - held up rounding the final bend.
ROCKABILLY BLUES - raced wide in the early stages.
RAKSBET - placed in restricted room entering the first bend making contact with several track markers.
Race 11   SOUTHLAND FARM MACHINERY LTD MOBILE PACE
THEODORA HOPE - broke in the score-up, losing all chance and taking no part in the event. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Trainer A Paisley advised that the mare would now be sent for a spell.
JINGLES BROMAC - raced wide through the middle stages. Weakened from the 300 metres.
VINTAGE ROSE - raced wider on the track near the 1400 metres when VIGOROSO improved on its inside. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule where driver A Beck advised that he commenced to follow the three-wide line up of his own accord and he had not been forced to race wider on the track.
IWANADANCEWITSUMBODY - held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight with driver M Williamson advising he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners applied to the mare.
VIGOROSO - raced wide rounding the final bend.
