UPTOWN LADY - raced wide in the early stages.
PRO SURFER - lay inwards in the score up and was slightly out of position at the start.
CINDY BROMAC - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver B Hope will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove near the 1300 metres.
ADAM PATRON - Stewards inquired into a potential breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1300 metres when this gelding shifted outwards causing the improving IDEOLOGIST to race four wide for a short distance. Driver R May explained it had never been his intention to shift to a three wide position but his runner had hung outwards and attempted to follow NURBURGRING before he was able to restrain. He added that by this time his position in the two wide line had been taken by an inside runner shifting outwards so he had been left to race three wide. After reviewing the films, Stewards were satisfied with his explanation and took the matter no further.

JACK'S LEGEND - driver S Phelan was cautioned for the manner in which he shifted down the track in the early stages which restricted the racing room of ALTA MAESTRO for a short distance. Weakened over the final stages. Driver S Phelan explained the gelding had been forced to work too hard in the early stages to find the front. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.

GRAN CHICO - broke in the early stages of the score up and was back slightly at the start.
Stewards questioned drivers R Holmes (KIWIS ARE FLYING) and B Munro (CLIVE) in regards to an incident after 100 metres when ANYTIME (J Dunn) sustained a punctured sulky tyre. It was established that KIWIS ARE FLYING had hung inwards despite the efforts of Mr Holmes and placed CLIVE in restricted room resulting in contact being made with the wheel of ANYTIME. After considering the evidence of the drivers and viewing the replays Stewards took the matter no further.
