LIBERAL ARDEN - Amateur Driver R Frampton was charged under Rule 869 (2) with a breach of Clause (h) of the Use of the Whip Regulation after he used his whip outside the sulky confines early in the run home when striking a wheel disc. The charge was admitted and the JCA imposed a fine of $200.00. | |
BANNER OF ART - the gelding had blood showing at the mouth on returning to the stabling area. A post race veterinary examination revealed a small amount of blood in the gelding's mouth which was due to a minor laceration. | |
TURBO - broke racing into the first bend losing ground before rejoining the field. Tired passing the 500 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. | |
SPARE CHANGE - Amateur Driver W Rich was shown the replay of the run home and advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the future after his mare shifted out early and then inwards when being driven out. | |
XMAS BAY - Trainer M House was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and a $100 fine imposed for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds and with deafeners which had not been notified. Lay in during the score up and was a length out of position at the start. |

After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $200.00. | |

MOTU LITTLE PRINCESS - broke early in the score up losing ground before having to work hard to fill its position prior to dispatch. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier record. Inconvenienced by a weakening runner inside the 300 metres before obtaining clear racing room passing the 150 metres. | |
KUNDANA GOLD - checked and broke shortly after the start and settled towards the rear. | |
PETER FORSBERG - Driver J Abernethy was charged under Rule 869(4) in that he allowed his gelding to shift in shortly after the start checking KUNDANA GOLD which broke and lost ground. The charged was admitted and the JCA imposed a $200 fine. | |
VANHALEM - improved three wide from inside the 1400 metres to race outside the leader passing the 900 metres. Weakened out inconveniencing trailing runners inside the 300 metres. Stable representative D Ferguson advised Stewards on 28 March that blood tests taken from ANNA KATE following its disappointing performance at Cambridge on 21 March revealed some abnormalities with the mare now having a freshen up while being treated. |
