JACKHAMMER JOE - raced roughly in the early stages.
TROUBADOR - lay inwards in the score up and as a result was out of position at the candy pole.
Race 2   PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION NZ HANDICAP TROT
TRICKY RIC - lay out leaving the final bend.
M'LORD MACKENDON - held up early stages of the run home.
WESTY BOYZ - broke near the 350 metres.
GALLEONS VICTORY - over raced middle stages after shifting to the parked position.
FORGET THE PRICE TAG - raced wide from the 800 metres.
ALTA VENETIA - trotted roughly near the 2100 metres.
Following this race the track was upgraded to Easy.
Race 3   www.one33.co.nz MOBILE PACE
KAYLA MARIE - shifted out in the early stages of the run home when placed under pressure by Driver M Purdon.
Race 4   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS GREENLANE TROTTING CUP (HCP TROT)
The start was delayed when the cart was replaced on LEMOND due to a tyre deflating as the field were turning in. The start was further delayed when the bit required adjusting on CREDIT MASTER. A false start was then declared when the 30 metre barrier strand failed to release.
GERSHWIN - broke briefly at the 350 metres and again at the 250 metres.
MAJESTIC ALI - stood on the mark and then broke in the early stages losing considerable ground.
LEMOND - broke near the 100 metres. A protest was lodged under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations in that the gelding broke in excess of 50 metres inside the final 200 metres. The JCA disqualified the gelding from its 5th placing.
Race 5   AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 CITY OF AUCKLAND FFA MOB PACE
RECCO LOVER - Trainer R Green was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for presenting the gelding without the notified removable deafeners.
TRIPLE EIGHT - locked wheels near the 700 metres.
NO DOCTOR NEEDED - lay inwards briefly when improving forward near the 700 metres and locked wheels having to be restrained. When questioned regarding the geldings performance driver A Poutama advised that the gelding had raced lethargically and proved disappointing. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer S Telfer in the coming days.
ON THE CARDS - lay inwards throughout the run home and had to be steadied near the 75 metres by Driver Z Butcher.
STAR GALLERIA - Driver S Reid admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Use of the Whip Regulations when using the whip on more occasions than permissible in the final 400 metres. The JCA imposed a fine of $350.
Trainer S Telfer advised Stewards on 14 March that blood tests taken from NO DOCTOR NEEDED following its disappointing performance at Alexandra Park on 8 March revealed no abnormalities. Mr Telfer added that the gelding had cross-fired during the race and some shoeing changes would be made before its next engagement.
Race 6   CROMBIE LOCKWOOD YG DELIGHTFUL LADY CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
AMAZING DREAM - raced wide in the early stages. Hung outwards leaving the final bend.
EIGHTEEN CARAT - paced roughly in the score up and was back at the start.
A DELIGHTFUL ACT - hung outwards in the score up as a result was slightly out of position at the start. Raced wide from the 600 metres.
SWEET ON ME - paced roughly late in the score up resulting in the filly being a short distance back at the start. Again paced roughly in the early stages.
Race 7   2019 WOODLANDS STUD NORTHERN DERBY (MOBILE PACE)
ULTIMATE SNIPER - Driver N Rasmussen defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Use of the Whip Regulations which alleged she had used her whip on more occasions than permissible in the final 400 metres. The JCA found the charge to be proved and imposed a fine of $1500.00, also suspending her Driver's licence up to and including the 30th of March 2019.
BETTORSTARTDREAMING - lay inwards on the final bend making contact with track markers.
ACCELERE - raced wide from the 900 metres
A BETTOR ACT - Driver B Mangos was charged with a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Use of the Whip Regulations when using the whip on more occasions than permissible in the final 400 metres. The JCA found the charge to be proved and imposed a fine of $500.00.
Race 8   BRECKON FARMS YOUNG GUNS CARDIGAN BAY STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
EAGLE WATCH - hung outwards over the final 400 metres. Driver T Mitchell reported the gelding to have raced roughly in the run home.
VIRGIL - broke briefly racing towards the first bend. Held up in the early stages of the run home. Shifted outwards sharply when Driver N Rasmussen activated the removable deafeners having to be corrected.
STAVROS THE TERROR - hampered racing into the first bend. Inconvenienced near the 150 metres when runners inside shifted out having to be steadied momentarily.
SIR TIGER - hampered racing into the first bend. Raced wide in the early stages until being taken forward to race outside the leader near the 1100 metres. Had to be steadied near the 150 metres when an inside runner shifted outwards.
Race 9   MAGNESS BENROW SIRES STAKES NORTHERN MARES CLASSIC MOB PACE
TIGER SWIFT - raced wide from the 1200 metres.
MOSSDALE ROSE - raced greenly entering the first bend and shifted outwards. Attempted to gain a position in the trail soon after and in doing so crowded the racing room available to CRACKARED. Drivers B Orange and R May were spoken to regarding this incident and after considering their explanations and the racing manners of MOSSDALE ROSE Mr May was issued with a warning for the manner in which he shifted ground. Mr May added that the horse had cast a shoe in the early stages.
CRACKARED - had to be steadied racing into the first bend.
Race 10   SHANE HAYES FAREWELL TROT
INVICTUS - broke racing into the first turn losing its chance.
THATGIRLTROUBLE - broke at the start and lost ground. Held up on the final bend. The all clear was delayed until it could be confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
SAFRAKOVA - lay inwards throughout.
PHOEBE IMPERIAL - cast a bell boot passing the 100 metres.
