NOTORIOUS - a Protest was lodged against the gelding's 2nd placing on the grounds that it shifted ground outwards when in the lead approaching the 250 metres and caused interference to LADY AMEERA, which resulted in interference to other runners including the 4th placed SHOT IN THE DARK. The Protest was not contested by Connections and NOTORIOUS was relegated to 4th placing promoting IDEAL LINCOLN to 2nd and SHOT IN THE DARK to 3rd placing respectively. Driver K Marshall admitted an associated charge under Rule 869(4) for allowing his horse to shift ground outwards causing interference. The JCA imposed a fine of $350. | |
