Stewards will follow up the results with Mr Hill.
IDEOLOGIST - lay inwards and raced roughly through the final straight.
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - held up for a short distance passing the 200 metres. Stewards questioned driver R Houghton regarding his decision not to improve wide at any stage during the running to take up a position closer to the leaders. Mr Houghton explained that he was aware that both the lead (AVEROSS RUSTLER) and parked (J B MAUNEY) horses were highly unlikely to surrender those positions which meant he would have had to race three wide without cover. He added that tonight's field represented a considerable step up in the calibre of opposition to what the horse had encountered at its first race day start and so was prepared to drive it more conservatively.
