MILLY AN EYRE - hampered shortly after the start and broke. Shifted inwards when in a break after 100 metres making contact with the sulky of ABOUT LAST NIGHT before continuing to shift inwards making contact with the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
BLINK N BONES - broke at the start.
MAJESTIC CHEVRON - trainer N McGrath was fined $100 by the JCA for being late to arrive on course. Raced wide in the early stages. Lay outwards in the home straight and trotted roughly.
RAINING IN MY HEART - broke at the start. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
SIERRA GOLD - broke shortly after the start. Held up early stages of the home straight. Lay outwards throughout the run home.
FAST WET N WINDEE - co-trainer P Wakelin advised Stewards that the mare has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT - fractious prior to the start. Contacted by a breaking runner shortly after the start unbalancing driver S Clarke in his sulky.
RITES OF ZHOU - trotted roughly through the early stages. Held up early stages of the home straight.
SUN SWINGER - trotted roughly in the home straight and was unable to be fully driven out. Driver M Williamson advised that he will be recommending that the whip be removed from the mare's gear in the immediate future.
CABELLA NOIR - held up early stages of the home straight. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.

BRANTLEY - fractious prior to the start. Driver T Williams reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BOSSMARO - fractious prior to the start resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Swung outwards at the start checking FRANCO HATTON. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts. Broke after shying at the crossing near the 1700 metres.
FRANCO HATTON - checked and broke at the start with driver T McMillan becoming unbalanced in his sulky.
TAUMALOLO - fractious prior to the start resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
JONTY KEV - broke and shifted outwards at the start locking wheels with MAURICE losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

KNOCKMANAUGH - raced fiercely in the score-up and got its head over the mobile barrier arm despite the efforts of driver T Dewe before hanging outwards and being in front of the mobile for a short distance prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced passing the 1400 metres before improving to the lead. Mr Dewe was issued with a warning for easing the pace in an abrupt manner passing the 1100 metres.
CANARDLY REMEMBER - over-raced middle stages.

BOBBY'S MY GIRL - broke near the 1600 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance of the filly trainer/driver J Curtin advised that he had been disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
ITZ QUEEN OF ARTS - paced roughly throughout.

liTvAjiwuiU CLIVE - began awkwardly. Driver G Ross admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations inside the final 400 metres and was fined $200 by the JCA.
SWEET LORESS - hampered at the start.
OVERARM - over-raced middle stages. Held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight. Driver T Williams reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
BE MINE TONIGHT - broke at the start. Locked wheels with TYRON BETTOR'S ELLA for a short distance approaching the 1500 metres. Weakened from the 500 metres.
MUSTANG GT - weakened leaving the final bend.
TYRON BETTOR'S ELLA - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Locked wheels with BE MINE TONIGHT for a short distance approaching the 1500 metres.
GORE BAY - broke at the start. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the entire.
MOGUL - held up by a weakening runner passing the 500 metres.

SPICY GIRL BECQUI - broke briefly in the early stages of the score-up. When spoken to regarding the performance driver R May reported the mare had over-raced throughout.
KOTARE COSTA - when spoken to regarding the performance driver J Dunn reported the mare was racing up in class from its last start however had received every opportunity.
BOBBY T - held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver R Cameron was warned for the manner he drove passing the 200 metres when improving his position where insufficient room existed.
JACK'S SHADOW - broke near the 300 metres hampering a trailing runner.
SWAP OVER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
GOD ONLY KNOWS - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
GYPSY'S CHOICE - inconvenienced in the score-up and had to shift wider on the track. Hampered near the 200 metres.

DOC SEELSTER - broke near the 1400 metres checking trailing runners. Driver R Houghton reported the gelding had panicked when being restrained to obtain cover. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Held up early stages of the run home.
CLARENDON FALCON - broke briefly in the score-up. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres.
LIVING LEGEND - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. Driver J Curtin was charged with a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations inside the final 400 metres. After hearing evidence from Stewards, the JCA upheld the charge and Mr Curtin was fined $200.

LUCY DIAMOND - checked by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. Held up early stages of the run home.
IT'S A DEAL - raced erratically in the score-up. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Returned to the stabling area with blood present in both nostrils with a subsequent post-race veterinary examination confirming the gelding to be a bleeder. Stood down for 30 days with the connections advised a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination prior to a satisfactory trial would be required prior to IT'S A DEAL resuming.
Starter R Donnelly inadvertently activated the red light on the mobile at the start point. No driver reported their chances had been affected as a result. Accordingly the all clear was given. Mr Donnelly was spoken to advisedly.
