HOLDON TOYASPURS - weakened from the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer B Williamson in the coming days. | |
SOMETHINGS BURNING - broke after 150 metres. | |
DIPENDRA - trotted roughly near the 800 metres. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance driver R Stevens advised the gelding had benefited from a drop in class, the addition of blinds to the gear and trotting throughout the event. Driver R Stevens admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause(b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $200 by the JCA. | |

CRUSHER COLLINS - refused to come up into its position and address the barrier. Reared and fell before standing firm on the outside of the track with the assistance of the crash crew whilst the race was being run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed superficial grazes over its muzzle and nostrils with no treatment required. Late scratched by order of the Stewards pursuant to Rule 213(e) in that the manners displayed at the start were unsatisfactory. Stood down from all standing start events until completing 2 satisfactory trials from this start type. | |

SHUZI - broke rounding the bend near the 2300 metres losing all chance, after attempting to kick out at driver N Williamson. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. | |
DELIGHT N GOLD - driver R Swain dropped his foot from the sulky footrest for a brief period passing the 250 metres when activating the removable gear applied to the gelding. | |

Mrs Barclay will be spoken to regarding the manner in which she drove during this event in the coming days. | |
