Trainer A Donnelly reported to Stewards on 24 January that IN THE SHADOWS' blood tests showed some irregularities. This has since been treated and the mare will be freshened prior to resuming.

Race 9 - BOWERS & SON LTD MOBILE PACE
Trainer R Paynter reported to Stewards on 24 January that HELENA IDEAL has recovered well from its last start. However, the mare has been diagnosed as a grade 3 roarer in the past, and will be treated in the coming weeks with a nebuliser. The mare will also be freshened prior to racing again.

MOTU LITTLE PRINCESS - inclined to lay out during the running when leading before shifting wider rounding the bend, despite the efforts of Amateur Driver C Sharpe. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
LOUD AN PROUD - Amateur Driver J Brownlee admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause B of the 'Use of the Whip' Regulations and was fined $300.00 by the JCA.
BANNER OF ART - held up over the early stages of the run home.
MR INCREDIBLE - paced roughly for several strides shortly after the start.
NERVE OF STEEL - raced three wide without cover early.
RAINBOW WIRI - out of position at the start. Amateur Driver B Hadley was issued a caution to maintain his barrier position until the start in the future.
CRACKARED - caught three wide throughout. Driver C Wigg advised that she pulled a flat sulky tyre from inside 400 metres.

COMEDY ACT - slow to begin. Trotted roughly entering the first turn and mixed its gait for some strides. Switched to a pace near the 700 metres losing its chance.
FORTUNATO - Driver T Cameron advised that he had not activated the removable deafeners due to having the field well covered.
BLUE COMAN - broke passing the 1900 metres when contesting for the lead losing considerable ground.
MACKERELLI - broke passing the 750 metres losing all chance.
FRENCH AFFAIR - broke passing the 300 metres losing ground before settling.
MACKALI - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
LUNDQVIST - broke near the 1800 metres losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1200 metres and was retired from the event.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - slow early and broke near the 1200 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.

MILLVIEW CHLOE - compounded inside the final 700 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a slow recovery rate. The connections advised the mare would be retired.
MAC'S TOMADO - broke shortly after the start settling midfield. Broke again approaching the 250 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile and racing manners.
TWO FIFTYEIGHT - weakened inside the final 350 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying symptoms of muscle tie up with further blood tests to be carried out by the connections.
COULSON BROMAC - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record.
WHATCHAGOT - a minor infringement notice was issued and a $100 fine imposed on Trainer M Salaivao for failing to affix the hopple side carrier so as not to come adrift.

RAVE NATION - inconvenienced at the start by a galloping runner and was slow away.
SAINT MICHEL - broke at the start losing considerable ground. The gelding was placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the Trainers request.
CELTIC THUNDER - trotted unevenly throughout and galloped approaching the 300 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
BEAT THE HEAT - broke passing the 2000 metres settling toward the rear.
AWHI MAI - held up rounding the final turn and the early stages of the run home.
ARDEE TROUBLE - briefly inconvenienced by a galloping runner approaching the 300 metres.

DEER HUNTER - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record. Broke again passing the 300 metres and was retired from the event. A further warning was placed on its racing manners record.
PETER FORSBERG - caught three wide early before being improved to race outside the leader. Weakened approaching the 300 metres inconveniencing a trailing runner.
STAND BY ME - disappointed for a run in the passing lane near the 150 metres and shifted ground outwards to obtain clear running.
CHEDDAR'S PRINCESS - inconvenienced by a weakening runner inside the 300 metres.

PHIL BROMAC - paced roughly at the start and then again near the 1600 metres before being improved forward to lead.
BLAKE - paced roughly late in the run home. A final warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record. Driver G Gillies was reminded of his obligations when drawn unruly from the mobile in the future.

KUNDANA GOLD - Driver K Marshall admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause B of the 'Use of the Whip' Regulations. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Marshall's driver's licence from the completion of racing on the 27 January 2019 upto and including the 7 February 2019.
VIEWFIELD GNAT - broke early in the score up and was out of position at the start. The gelding was placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Raced three wide with cover from the 1100 metres and weakened at the 400 metres.
EL CAPITAN - Trainer C Wigg was issued a minor infringement notice and fined $100 for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. Raced three wide without cover from inside the 1200 metres.
LINCOLN LOVELY - failed to get clear racing room until inside the final 70 metres.
JAKIRA - held up rounding the final bend and early stages of the run home.
OUR WICKLOW - broke in the early stages of the score up and was a back from the unruly position at dispatch.
BUGALUGS - Driver P Ferguson admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause B of the 'Use of the Whip' Regulations and was fined $200.00 by the JCA.

MACH SHARD - the near side saddle number came adrift rounding the final bend.

WILLEDU - lay in badly when weakening leaving the back straight the final time and paced roughly when MISTER HARRIS shifted grounds outwards to its inside approaching the 300 metres.
AFORTUNADO - broke in the score up losing considerable ground before catching the field near the 1000 metres. The gelding was declared unruly for future mobile starts.
MISTER HARRIS - inclined to lay out throughout the running.

COMMANDO ONE - broke near the 1900 metres losing ground before settling. Broke again near the 300 metres losing its chance.
HARRY H - failed to secure clear racing room throughout the run home.
CAITLIN'S SURPRISE - Driver A Poutama was cautioned for allowing his mare to race over the final marker peg at the entrance to the passing lane early in the run home. In considering this matter Stewards were of the opinion that no unfair advantage had been obtained that affected the outcome of the race given the margin of 2 3/4 lengths between 2nd and 3rd.
PRIMUS INTER PARES - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
LUCK OF THE MOMENT - lay out racing through the front straight to receive the bell when back in midfield.
SOL INVICTUS - Stewards investigated a possible breach of the push out rule approaching the winning post to receive the bell, however after viewing the replays were of the opinion that SOL INVICTUS had not been forced to race wider until inside the 1000 metres when MALABAR SPUR had shifted outwards.
