SWEET JEWELIETTE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1400 metres.
TOMMY TIDDLER - broke at the start losing all chance.
STAR DUDE - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver N Williamson reported that due to this he was unable to drive the gelding out.
SPUR TO ACTION - broke passing the 1100 metres.
DREAM OF PAT - broke near the 750 metres. Broke again over the concluding stages. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. DREAM OF PAT was treated for a superficial laceration to its right fore knee post race after returning to the stable enclosure with blood present in this area.
INESSA'S DREAM - broke near the 1750 metres.
ROBO TROUBLE - weakened over the concluding stages.
MOMENT OF GLORY - slow through the early and middle stages. Weakened over the concluding stages.

JIMMY RICHTER - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of fourth placing being awarded was withheld until the Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking at the start.
FRANCO JUNE - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the Standing Start record of the gelding. Weakened from the 400 metres.
FLOGGING MOLLY - broke near the 1300 metres when becoming awkwardly placed on the back of MISS WAIKIWI, losing all chance. Junior driver M Hurrell (assisted by driver C Ferguson) admitted that he drove carelessly at this stage of the race with the JCA imposing a fine of $250.00.

DUKE OF DUNDEE - raced greenly and shifted up the track near the 900 metres, making contact with DON'T NEED AN EXCUSE.
MAXIMILIAN - raced keenly through the early stages. Weakened rounding the final bend.
CALICO HILL - paced roughly in the early stages having to be restrained, then broke entering the first bend, losing ground.
TARTAN ROXY - broke in the score-up and was out of position at the dispatch. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the mare. Paced roughly passing the 400 metres. Held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
HIDDEN DELIGHT - weakened from the 400 metres.
KRAMER - raced keenly in the middle stages. Hung inwards through the early stages of the run home.
DON'T NEED AN EXCUSE - had to be steadied near the 900 metres when inconvenienced by DUKE OF DUNDEE.
STAR REACTOR - when questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance trainer/driver A Beck advised the mare had benefited from an economical trip and a drop in class of opposition today.
 
Race 4STRATEGY T WORMERS AT FARMLANDS TROTVideo  Video 
CHEEKY PAT - trotted roughly down the back straight on the last occasion. Weakened rounding the final bend.
GLENDHU GEM - broke negotiating the first bend. Broke again near the 400 metres. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming racing.
MONIBURNS - began awkwardly before breaking.
ROBBIE ROYALE - broke shortly after the start. Hung inwards and struck pylons racing into the first bend. Forced to race wider on the track near the 1700 metres when ZONED SCARLETT improved outwards on his inside.
ZONED SCARLETT - improved outwards passing the 1700 metres forcing ROBBIE ROYALE to race wider on the track. Driver B Williamson defended a charge pursuant to Push Out Rules 869(4) and 869(6)(b&c.) After viewing replays and hearing evidence from all parties the JCA found the charge proved and after hearing submissions on penalty imposed a fine of $250.

DREAMINSOVER - had to be steadied near the 300 metres when awkwardly placed between runners.
PHIL'S LAST CHANCE - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
TAD LINCOLN - trainers K Barclay & P Ellis were fined $100 for presenting this runner in the incorrect gear. Shifted up the track prior to the finish line.
 
Race 6MCMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS LADYSHIP FINAL (MOBILE PACE)Video  Video 
THRO ME THE BUOY - broke negotiating the first bend inconveniencing FOLKLORE, MYRCELLA and SHOP GIRL. Broke again near the 1800 metres inconveniencing BALCATHERINE, then broke again near the 1500 metres. A warning was placed on racing record of the filly. Weakened from the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
FOLKLORE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Broke near the 1500 metres. Weakened considerably from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be suffering general soreness with the filly being stood down pending a Veterinary clearance. Trainer J Cox advised the filly would now be sent for a spell.
MYRCELLA - inconvenienced by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
SHOP GIRL - inconvenienced by a breaking runner rounding the first bend.
BALCATHERINE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner passing the 1500 metres.
RAHURI DESIRE - hung in the score-up. Broke in the early stages. Broke again negotiating the first bend and then broke again near the 1300 metres. Paced roughly and weakened considerably from the 800 metres. A warning was placed on both the mobile barrier and racing records of the mare.

CLIFTON FLUTTER - Trainer G Anderson was charged a $25 Colour Fee for failing to have his registered colours available. Hung outwards through the early stages and broke prior to the winning post on the first occasion, severely checking MAGNATE MARA which broke and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the racing manners of the gelding.
MATINEE IDOL - contacted track markers near the 800 metres. Lost for speed and was unable to maintain the lead passing the 1700 metres. Held up by a tiring runner for a brief period thereafter. When questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding Trainer A Hunter advised that MATINEE IDOL had raced well at the recent Cromwell meeting when the track was rated Slushy and had benefited from a favourable draw today.
LITTLE RAIN - weakened from the 600 metres.
THE DOORMAN - weakened from the 600 metres. Trainer J Cox advised the gelding had some nasal discharge following this event for which it would be treated and given a brief freshen up prior to resuming racing.
KANSAS CITY JIM - hung and raced keenly when wide through the early stages.
MAGNATE MARA - broke when checked prior to the first bend and was retired as a consequence.
EL DINERO - challenged for the lead for a brief period passing the 1400 metres. Weakened from the 500 metres.
 
Race 8FOR GREAT COATS USE LIVAMOL FROM FARMLANDS MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
JABALI - held up in the early and middle stages of run home with driver B McLellan advising that due to this he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding.
GABBY'S STAR - raced wide without cover in the early stages. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
ULTIMATE ROCKER - inclined to lay inwards throughout the run home.
ANSETT FLIGHT - raced keenly in the middle stages.
FRANKIE D - raced keenly in the parked position throughout. Hung inwards and had to be steadied passing the 200 metres.
ANNIE FITZ - held up through the latter stages of the run home.
COOLHAND EASTON - raced wide without cover before being taken forward to the lead near the 1450 metres. Paced roughly just prior to the finish line and had to be steadied.
STAY ABOARD - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
RNR WINDERMERE - held up rounding the final bend.
DUNROBIN - driver N Williamson expressed concerns regarding the mare racing lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery with trainer B Shirley in the coming days.
