Race 1GRASS TRACK RACE MEETING AT ROTORUA 27TH JAN HANDICAP TROTVideo  Video 
INCOME STREAM - broke at the start settling at the rear of the field. Broke again near the 800 metres.
MISS SLIPPERS - held up rounding the final bend then trotted roughly when placed under pressure final straight.
SECRETOFTHESEA SMILE - broke near the 1800 metres losing its chance.
LUNDQVIST - broke racing over the crossing near the 1500 metres. Checked and broke by a galloping runner near the 250 metres.
SPEEDY LAVROS - underwent a Veterinary examination after racing at the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting the previous night and was cleared to start.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - broke near the 950 metres losing ground. Broke again near the 300 metres checking LUNDQVIST which also broke.

LUCAS HOOD - inconvenienced near the 300 metres and then broke before locking wheels with OWHATA ANGEL dislodging Driver G Martin from the sulky. Mr Martin was examined by St John's Ambulance staff and found not to have sustained any injury.
KAROLYI - paced roughly shortly after the start before galloping near the 1650 metres and broke the near fore hopple loop whilst in the break before settling at the rear. Broke again near the 900 metres checking a trailing runner and lost all chance. The gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory order.
FORTUNE SMILES - when questioned regarding the improved performance Driver S Abernethy stated that the mare had been required to work hard early to obtain the lead at its previous start when well supported and had received little respite during the running while in today's event he had felt that the lead would not be available so he had elected to drive FORTUNE SMILES with cover which had proved to be to the mare's benefit when enjoying a good run throughout. Mr Abernethy's comments were noted.
OWHATA ANGEL - checked and locked wheels near the 250 metres losing its chance.
JAMIE FRASER - broke near the 300 metres inconveniencing an outside runner but soon settled.
JR'S JEM - checked near the 900 metres by a breaking runner and lost ground. Commenced to give ground approaching the 600 metres.
WHATCHAGOT - back from position throughout the score up. Junior Driver N Delany was cautioned to have his runner in position as required in the future.
ARTY PHARTY - held up early final turn and shifted out to obtain clear running.
 
Race 3HIGGINS CONTRACTORS WAIKATO MOBILE PACEVideo  Video 
MAJOR HIPPIE - inconvenienced when there was an easing of the pace on the marker line near the 850 metres. Raced three back on the inner throughout and failed to run on to finish in 11th place beaten 5.5 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver S Butcher advised that after over-racing in the middle stages the gelding had failed to finish the race off.
CHARLIE HARPER - raced three wide early.
MANIHIKI PEARL - over-raced middle stages.
LADY SANTANNA - had to be steadied near the 850 metres after surrendering the lead to ALLY MAE with a chain reaction going back through the runners on the marker line.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - inconvenienced when there was an easing of the pace on the marker line near the 850 metres.
MCDAKNIFE - broke early in the score up but was in position at dispatch.
VIEWFIELD GNAT - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was put on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Inconvenienced when there was an easing of the pace on the marker line near the 850 metres. Paced roughly then broke briefly approaching the 100 metres. Driver S Phelan advised Stewards that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners as a result.
RAINBOW WIRI - inconvenienced when there was an easing of the pace on the marker line near the 850 metres. Had difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the straight.

GREAT FANTASY - broke briefly near the 700 metres and was taken up the track before being obliged to race three wide for the remainder.
SOL INVICTUS - Junior Driver T Lethaby dropped his foot momentarily from the sulky footrest when activating gear passing the 250 metres.
MAJESTIC ONE - underwent a Veterinary examination after racing at the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting the previous night and was cleared to start.

PHILLYDOTCOM - shifted in under pressure approaching the 100 metres. Driver Z Butcher was reminded of his obligations to keep his horse on a straight course in the run home in the future.
SHAKE IT - disappointed for a run to the inside of PHILLYDOTCOM approaching the 100 metres.
CASSIS - weakened near the 600 metres.
BABYFACENELSON - raced three wide in the early stages before breaking passing the 1400 metres losing its chance.
IMASPORTSSTAR - broke briefly at the start before settling at the rear of the field. Broke again near the 900 metres losing its chance. Driver P Ferguson advised the gelding did not handle the track. A final warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
LADY AMEERA - paced roughly in the early stages.
ROSADO - lay in when weakening rounding the final bend striking pylons.

CAROLINE WOZNIACKI - held up early rounding the final bend. Raced in restricted room for a distance near the 150 metres.
CRUISE ALASKA - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field.
FLYING TAINE - broke shortly after the start and settled at the rear of the field. Broke again near the 2100 metres losing its chance.
LITTLE BRO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start manners.

ITSOKBEINGBETTER - lay in rounding the bends.
EL CAPITAN - broke late in the score up causing interference to the second row horses. Junior Driver F Schumacher elected to stay in his original barrier position for the restart. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Hampered passing the 1600 metres having to be steadied.
LINCOLN MOMENT - over-raced in the early and middle stages.
RACKETEERS BOY - paced roughly for a distance passing the 1600 metres hampering EL CAPITAN which had to be steadied.
WAINGARO MARA - commenced to give ground from inside the 500 metres.

GOTTA MOMENT - broke briefly at the start and shifted out abruptly before settling. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
PRIME SILVER - commenced to give ground near the 400 metres after racing parked without cover for the majority of the race.
VIBE - crowded shortly after the start and then broke and trailed the field throughout.
FLEETING GRIN - lay in and dislodged a marker peg at the 1900 metres.
COMIC BOOK HERO - paced roughly for a distance shortly after the start.
COUNT LANDECK - paced roughly when having to be steadied off the back of COMIC BOOK HERO when the pace eased near the 1900 metres.

MOTU LITTLE PRINCESS - held up throughout the final straight when unable to obtain clear running.
SWEET MAGGIE RYAN - raced three wide over the early and middle stages before crossing to race outside leader near the 700 metres.
WOMENINLEAGUE - raced three wide in the early stages.
WESTBURN YIELD - paced roughly in the early stages.
CRACKARED - raced wide in the early stages.
HELENA IDEAL - raced midfield on the inner before giving ground in the final straight to finish at the rear. Junior Driver F Schumacher could offer no explanation other than the mare made a respiratory noise on pulling up. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up on the mare's recovery in the coming days.
 
Race 10EVENING RACING AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY THUR 24TH JAN MOB PACEVideo  Video 
SPARE CHANGE - reared and refused to follow the mobile in the early stages of the score up and took no part. The mare was subsequently stood down from mobile start events until it trials satisfactorily.
ATOM HANOVER - broke approaching the winning post on the first occasion losing considerable ground. Trainer D Iremonger advised that the gelding would be restricted to all weather tracks in the future.
