CAPITAL PLAN - cast the off hind plate near the 100 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right hind after sustaining a nail puncture to its toe and was treated by the Veterinarian.
RUNCLE - a false start was declared when RUNCLE broke in the score up causing interference to the second row. Amateur driver S Wigg elected to retain her barrier position for the restart. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
MRS ZIPPY - shifted up the track near the 400 metres when leading.
MOTU LITTLE PRINCESS - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start with no action from Stewards due to the false start. Shifted up the track to get clear running in the run home.
RACKETEERS BOY - lay in when racing without cover.
SCANRECO BAY - held up until near the 250 metres.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - over-raced in the middle stages. Was held up in the final straight until near the 250 metres.
CRACKARED - raced three wide without cover from near the 1350 metres.

TE KOUKA SUN RISE - broke at the start but soon settled. Broke again passing the 1200 metres and again at the 900 metres losing its chance.
GOINGREY - hampered at the start when TE KOUKA SUN RISE shifted out. Shifted in contacting a marker peg near the 80 metres. Trotted roughly when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.
FRENCH AFFAIR - broke briefly near the 1900 metres. Lay in when placed under pressure in the final straight.
INCOME STREAM - broke at the start but settled quickly.
MACKERELLI - broke near the 1300 metres and was taken down inside the marker line and lost ground before rejoining the field.
MISS SLIPPERS - became unsettled racing off the crossing at the 1450 metres and broke but soon settled.
SPECIAL LASS - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.

JAMIE FRASER - broke passing the 800 metres and then commenced to give ground. A warning was placed on the horse's racing manners record.
FORTUNE SMILES - broke shortly after the start but settled quickly. Raced wide for a distance rounding the first bend before improving to the lead. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
ARTY PHARTY - held up until near the 200 metres and had to be shifted wide to obtain clear running.
MILLVIEW CHLOE - paced roughly shortly after the start checking TEMPO ROSE. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
SHAKE IT - raced in restricted room going into the first bend
PHILLYDOTCOM - raced three wide early and middle stages.
GEOFF'S LEGACY - had to be steadied near the 1500 metres which caused an easing of the pace on the marker line.
LUCAS HOOD - broke near the 1600 metres. Checked and raced roughly passing the 1500 metres when there was an easing of the pace on the marker line.
K B LA SALLE - raced three wide with cover from the 1300 metres.
TEMPO ROSE - checked shortly after the start. Raced three wide from the 1400 metres. Junior Driver J MacKinnon admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) of the 'Use of Whip Regulations' and was fined $200.00 by the JCA.

The start of this race was delayed by 13 minutes due to a number of incidents.

ADIEU FLIRT - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after falling to the track at the second attempt to restart the race with a false start being declared. Was sent to the Unruly position for the restart and will remain there for future mobile events.
WOMENINLEAGUE - Junior Driver A Harrison advised that she pulled a flat sulky tyre from the middle stages.
DEER HUNTER - broke shortly after the start checking NERVE OF STEEL. No action was taken given the delays. Broke again near the 1400 metres losing its chance and was retired from the event.
NERVE OF STEEL - checked shortly after the start and broke losing ground before settling. Hampered near the 1400 metres by a breaking runner.
LAGERTHA - broke racing off the crossing near the 1450 metres inconveniencing trailing runners.
ARMSTRONG - was late scratched at 1.14pm on Veterinary advice after throwing itself to the track. The gelding was subsequently stood down until it trials satisfactorily. Junior Driver S Iremonger was examined by St John's Ambulance staff and subsequently stood down from his remaining engagement.
MACHBRAD - hampered near the 1400 metres by a breaking runner.
COMMAND LUSTRE - a false start was declared after this runner reared and fell early in the score up. Underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record.

MHAI UPTOWN GIRL - broke racing off the crossing at the 1450 metres losing ground before settling.
NEW FRONTIER - paced roughly rounding the final turn. Shifted out approaching the 200 metres and had to be corrected.
ROSADO - broke racing off the crossing at the 1450 metres losing ground before settling.
UNCLE DREW - Driver D Butcher admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) of the 'Use of Whip Regulations' and was fined $200.00 by the JCA.
LA VITESSE - raced greenly in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. Driver S Lawson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) of the 'Use of Whip Regulations' and was fined $200.00 by the JCA.
WHATCHAGOT - over-raced badly when trailing the leader during the middle stages.
OUTLANDER - paced roughly shortly after the start.

MANIHIKI PEARL - held up for a distance behind a tiring runner passing the 300 metres.
ITSOKBEINGBETTER - a false start was declared when the gelding broke late in the score up causing interference to runners on the second line. Driver S Phelan elected to retain his barrier position for the restart. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record.
CULLEN'S CAVIAR - broke shortly after the start and settled at the rear of the field. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record. Broke near the 1300 metres losing ground before settling.
JACK BATES - paced roughly in the final straight.
CHARLIE HARPER - raced wide around the first bend.
BANNER OF ART - Trainer I Brownlee was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100.00 for presenting the gelding with blinds that were not notified. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the run home.
RAINBOW WIRI - broke briefly passing the 400 metres.
SPIRIT OF LOVE - raced wide around the first bend.
MARRERA - weakened final stages.

DR TON - paced roughly shortly after the start then broke shifting inside the marker line when in a gallop. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record. Broke again near the 1650 metres and again at the 300 metres.
MAC PAUA - broke in the score up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record.
VIEWFIELD CHATTON - crowded just short of the winning post when BETTATHANAPOKEINDEYE shifted outwards.
KAYSAYRAH - slow to move out of pre-race formation and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
CATCH THE DREAM - broke near the 1300 metres losing ground. Paced roughly in the final straight and was unable to be driven out to the full advantage.
TOREA LANE - broke late in the score up. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners record. Broke racing off the crossing near the 1450 metres. Broke again near the 1300 metres.

RUBY ROSE - broke racing off the crossing near the 1450 metres and was taken inside the marker line when in a gallop before rejoining at the rear of the field. Broke near the 900 metres.
CARRERA SKY - gave ground from the 800 metres.
FRANCO EMPIRE - Driver S Phelan advised that he pulled a flat sulky tyre after it deflated during the running.
MARQUIS EYRE - weakened from the 400 metres.
HEZALUCKYGRINNER - broke briefly late in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke for some strides racing off the crossing near the 1800 metres.
MISTY MEMORY - Junior Driver L Whittaker dropped his foot from the sulky footrest momentarily when activating gear early in the run home.
BETTER THAN MOST - paced roughly final straight.
SCHERGER CHIEF - held up early rounding the final turn by a weakening runner.
OUR WICKLOW - broke in the score up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.

DANKE - broke at the start settling at the rear. Broke racing off the crossing near the 1800 metres. Broke again racing off the crossing near the 1450 metres losing further ground.
OUR ROSA - broke at the start for several strides.
TOBRUK - broke racing off the crossing near the 1800 metres losing all chance.
DAUNTLESS - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field.
HARRY H - broke racing off the crossing near the 1800 metres losing all chance.
NEED LUCK - broke at the start losing its chance and was retired from the event.
GREAT FANTASY - checked near the 1750 metres when having to take evasive action.
PRIMUS INTER PARES - checked by a galloping runner and broke near the 1750 metres and trailed the field.

GOTTA MOMENT - shifted out abruptly having to be corrected approaching the 250 metres.
RUEBE STAR - broke briefly at the start. Paced roughly for a distance passing the 200 metres.
MISTER HARRIS - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future stands at the trainer's request.
BILL HALEY - broke at the start losing considerable ground before catching the field in the middle stages.
RED MAGIC - broke racing over the crossing near the 1800 metres. Broke over the crossing near the 1450 metres losing further ground.
FLEETING GRIN - inclined to lay in during the running.
VIBE - broke over the crossing near the 1450 metres going back onto PATANJALI which was checked.
PATANJALI - checked near the 1450 metres by a galloping runner.

WESTBURN YIELD - paced roughly under pressure approaching the 150 metres.
ALLY MAE - paced roughly shortly after the start losing ground.
IN THE SHADOWS - raced three wide without cover from the 1100 metres but weakened in the run home to finish in 9th place beaten 18 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver S Phelan stated the mare was under pressure a long way out and could offer no real explanation for the disappointing run. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
WILLEDU - over-raced middle stages.

BROOKS BELLE - Junior Driver T Lethaby, assisted by B Mangos, admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly approaching the 250 metres by allowing BROOKS BELLE to contact the sulky wheel of AWA CATHRINE which resulted in BROOKS BELLE breaking and losing all chance. The JCA imposed a fine of $200.00.
LUNDQVIST - lay in approaching the 50 metres and broke when being corrected by Junior Driver K Blakemore but settled prior to the winning post. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had regained its proper gait prior to reaching the winning post and had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - slow to begin. Broke approaching the 300 metres losing its chance.
CYCLONE JOE PARKER - broke briefly near the 1700 metres and then again racing over the crossing near the 1450 metres. Broke late in the run home. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained a laceration to the near fore which required treatment by the Veterinarian.
MASS DESTRUCTION - broke racing over the crossing near the 1800 metres losing considerable ground.
