FRANCO SHERBORNE - Amateur driver M Maynard advised he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding due to the cord becoming entangled.
SHEEZUS - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
AVEROSS FERRARI - raced wide through the early to middle stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.
GABBY'S STAR - Amateur driver G Sinnamon admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he exceeded the number of strikes as permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $500.
MR HANDLEMAN - claimed by ballot from this event.
STOPPITT - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened from the 600 metres. Amateur driver M Stratford advised he did not activate the sliding blinds applied to the gelding due to the cord becoming entangled.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - placed in restricted room by a tiring runner passing the 500 metres.

SHES LIKE THE WIND - driver M Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the filly due to having the field covered.
CAPELLI - broke late in the score-up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly.
DREAM OF PAT - broke passing the 1600 metres. Broke again passing the 350 metres.
MAJICION - slow to come out of the pre-race circle and was out of position at the start.
MAJESTIC SIMON - broke near the 400 metres. Authorisation of 2nd placing being awarded was withheld until the Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking near the 400 metres.
DORA EXPLORER - broke near the 1650 metres. Trotted roughly on various occasions throughout the event. Authorisation of 3rd placing being awarded was withheld until the Stewards confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking near the 1650 metres. Stewards viewed the replays of the start to ascertain the mare was in its rightful position when drawn Unruly.

ABSOLUT RUSSIAN - over-raced through the middle stages.
FOLKLORE - broke at the start.
SMIRKEN - paced roughly rounding the final bend and hung inwards in the early stages of the home straight.
BALRAJ - paced roughly on a number of occasions from the 1000 metres and lost ground when pacing roughly near the 500 metres. Held up for racing room throughout the home straight. Driver C Thornley advised that there would be corrective action taken regarding the shoeing of the gelding before future engagements.
OUT OF THE SHADOWS - broke at the start. Paced roughly entering the home straight.
JOHNNY SPEIGHT - hampered at the start by a breaking runner.

STAR RULER - paced roughly and hung inwards on several occasions throughout the event.
SQUARE DEALER - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to take cover. Broke near the 450 metres.
BULLYS PRINCESS - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 750 metres.
IDEAL ASSET - broke passing the 800 metres.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - slow to exit the pre-race circle and was out of position at the start. Paced roughly near the 900 metres then broke near the 750 metres.

ARMA INDIE - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable hood applied to the filly due to having the field covered.
NICOLE - the Boring pole was removed prior to the start due to the filly warming up unfavourably. Broke a centre carrier strap shortly after the start. The gear was inspected and found to be in good condition. Broke near the 1800 metres losing its chance.
TEAM KIWI - paced roughly rounding the first bend. Broke near the 180 metres losing its chance.
WINSOMECHANGE - paced roughly and broke passing the 1750 metres losing its chance.
KENNY'S PRIDE - Trainer A Stratford was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 when presenting this runner with the incorrect gear. Paced roughly on various occasions throughout.
DUKE OF DUNDEE - hung outwards passing the 1200 metres.
HAMPTON - broke passing the 1800 metres.

CHEEKY PAT - began awkwardly. Weakened from the 900 metres.
RYDGEMONT SON - refused to turn in to its Unruly barrier position at the start, resulting in several second line runners being hampered and necessitating a false start be declared. Sent to the outside of the Unruly for the re-start. A warning was placed on the standing start record of the gelding. Broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
FRANCO JOSIAH - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Broke near the 800 metres.
BREENYS CULLEN - broke near the 2300 metres losing its chance.
SPRINGBANK LACHIE - driver N Williamson was spoken to advisedly with regards to shifting further down the track to be in the correct barrier position at the start.
JUSTAMOLLYARCHER - driver A Lethaby was spoken to advisedly with regards to shifting further down the track to be in the correct barrier position at the start. Broke near the 600 metres.
JEDDY R YA READY - held up by a breaking runner entering the home straight.
KING CASSIDY - trotted roughly through the middle stages.
WEE MAN TROUBLE - raced wide in the early stages.
GORILLA PLAYBOY - trotted roughly on the final bend and broke entering the home straight.

KOTARE YOLANDE - broke in the score-up checking IDEAL DRAW, necessitating a false start be declared. Driver J Dunn elected to remain in his allotted position for the restart, however after further indiscretions the filly was sent to the Unruly position on the outside of the second line by the Starter Mr B Ward pursuant to Rule 860(8). A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly. Initially refused to exit the pre-race circle of the restart with the other runners and was very slow to begin, losing all chance. Following the running of this event the All Clear was withheld until the Stewards had viewed the replays and were satisfied this runner had not been denied a fair start.
LINCOLN SKIPPER - hung inwards and locked wheels with IDEAL DRAW near the 150 metres.
VIN SCULLY - raced wide in the early stages.
IGOTTASTAR - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up for racing room through the early to middle stages of the home straight.
BENIO BEN - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to take cover.
IDEAL DRAW - locked wheels with LINCOLN SKIPPER near the 150 metres. Driver M Anderson was shown the films and questioned regarding the manner he drove this gelding in the score-up prior to the false start being declared. Of particular concerns to the Stewards was the reason he had chosen not to shift away from the back of the breaking runner which resulted in a false start being declared. Mr Anderson explained the gelding was racing keenly and pacing roughly and due to this he was unable to shift outwards and around the breaking runner. Mr Anderson was advised when similar circumstances arise in future he is to make a greater effort to be in his correct barrier position.
LIKE YA MORE - severely hampered near the 150 metres.
GYPSY'S CHOICE - over-raced in the early stages. Improved wide through the middle stages. Severely hampered near the 150 metres.
FEAR CRUISIN - woollen blinds removed for the restart.

WESTAR SAM - held up for racing room entering the home straight.
THE RED ROBBER - the nearside hopple connecting strap broke entering the first bend with the mare subsequently retired from the event. The gear was inspected and found to be in good condition.
THE TIN SOLDIER - raced wide in the early stages. Driver M Williamson accidentally dropped his whip near the 200 metres.
SADHANA - held up for racing room rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
B MAC C - hung inwards in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
