ROCKNTOMMY RULZ - held up throughout the run home.
NANELLE FRANCO - Driver C Thornley advised that he did not activate this mare's removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MATTHEW EYRE - held up early stages of the run home and again late in the run home.
AWESOME OFFICIAL - was inclined to lay inwards throughout the run home.
NADIRA FRANCO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Near the 500 metres the near side front hopple carrier come adrift resulting in the mare stepping out of the hopple loop. Trainer S Clarke defended a breach of Rule 864(2)(d) in that he failed to affix the hopple carrier so as not to come adrift. After hearing evidence from Stewards, Mr Clarke and viewing the available films the JCA found the charge to be proved and imposed a fine of $100.
MYSISTERSAPOLEDANCER - paced roughly rounding the first bend.
BELLA BROCADE - paced roughly and broke after 150 metres.
ZIPPIDY DOODAH - hampered by breaking runner after 150 metres obliging it to race wide.
JIMS MAMA - broke briefly at the start.
ALL OVER IT - displayed poor barrier manners and refused to walk around in the pre-race circle. This continued for some time with Stewards declaring it a late scratching under Rule 213(1)(e) for unsatisfactory manners. Following the race when being returned to the stabling area this mare reared and fell with its head making heavy contact to the track. As a result, it was humanely euthanised on the advice of the on course Veterinarian.

SANTANNA LAD - held up early stages of the run home.
SISTER'S DELIGHT - broke at the start.
FORD RULE - hampered at the start.
ULTIMATE SWIFT - hampered at the start. Paced roughly near the 800 metres after a slight easing of the pace.
AROCKNATTHEPARK - Trainer P Kerr was fined $100 for presenting this gelding with non notified gear. Paced roughly at various stages throughout the run home.
FRANCO HATTON - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start.

MONARO MARO - broke after 150 metres. Broke near the 250 metres. A warning was placed on its racing record.
TUSCAN SUN - prior to the start the boring pole was removed from this gelding. Displayed poor barrier manners and reared as the start was effected and will be placed on the unruly for its future standing starts at the request of its connections.
CHASING GREAT - broke at the start. Will be placed on the unruly for its future standing starts at the request of its Trainer.
ANOTHERDOLLYTROUBLE - held up for clear racing room in the home straight.
MAJESTIC ACTION - the connections advised the filly was In Season. Displayed poor barrier manners and reared as the start was effected. Will be placed on the unruly for its future standing starts. Broke near the 800 metres when over-racing.
MATUA TANA - trotted roughly and broke near the 1650 metres.
TEQUILA SUNSET - raced roughly final stages and was unable to be driven out with any vigour.
EASY PICKINGS - trotted roughly in the home straight.
OVERZEALOUS - hampered early stages. Trotted roughly in the home straight.
MAKE MY SUNDON - trotted roughly in various stages before breaking passing the 1600 metres.

FULL OF HOPE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
GOTTA TICKET - paced at the start.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT - raced in foal. Held up final bend.
SUPERFAST NINJA - hampered by a breaking runner at the 1700 metres. Weakened final bend. Subjected to a post-race Veterinary examination and found to have recovered in a normal fashion.
JOUR HIGHNESS - trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Broke at the 1700 metres. Broke again near the 900 metres.
LADY BEATRIX BOURBON - broke racing into the first bend with a warning being placed on its racing record.

FINAL DELIGHT - checked rounding the final bend by breaking runner.
BETTERTHANKATY - checked by breaking runner near the 500 metres.
FRANCO NUBOLT - driver C Thornley reported that the gelding had been striking a knee and would be recommending spreaders be added to the horse's gear for the second day.
PAY ME WELL - broke near the 500 metres after a side carrier came adrift and became entangled in the horse's hind leg resulting in trailing runners being checked. An Information was lodged against Mr B Mills as the person in charge of the gelding in that he failed to affix the side carrier so as not to come adrift. Mr Mills admitted the breach and after hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
JACKHAMMER JOE - slow through the early stages. Broke briefly entering the first bend then raced lethargically thereafter weakening considerable down the back straight on the last occasion. Driver G Smith advised that the horse had failed to respond to his urgings and he had been disappointed with the effort. Mr Smith would be recommending gear changes prior to the second day. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
JAZELLE - broke in the score up failing to settle and took no part. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the filly.
MARKHAM EYRE - raced wide early stages.
MALINKA - inconvenienced by breaking runner final bend.
FORTUNE TILLER - raced wide early stages. Over-raced in the parked position after unsuccessfully challenging for the lead nearing the 2000 metres. When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer/Driver D Keast advised that the mare had derived considerable benefit from its first start from a spell and he was confident of a forward showing today.

FROSTY RECEPTION - raced keen through the middle stages. Driver J Curtin advised he was unable to activate the filly's removable deafeners due to the cord becoming unreachable.
SPECIALE UNO - weakened final turn.
PAY ME SWISS - held up by tiring runner final bend.
BUSH MAN - raced three wide without cover from the 900 metres.
THAT ALEXANDER GUY - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver S Ottley advised she didn't activate the gelding's sliding blinds due to this.
MACKS COURAGE - paced rough in the score up and as a result was out of position at dispatch. Held up early and middle stages of the run home, paced roughly near the 100 metres.

EASTWOOD CHIEFTAIN - hung inwards on the bend near the 1100 metres and struck pylons. Driver J Dunn's foot slipped from the sulky footrest nearing the 100 metres

MIDFREW TARPEDIEM - broke at the start. Was held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
JUST N AWE - Trainers G & N Hope were fined $100 for presenting this gelding without the notified blinds. Hung inwards on the bend near the 2700 metres and struck pylons.
NURBURGRING - locked wheels with outside runner near the 500 metres. Held up early stages of the run home.
BILL HALEY - displayed poor barrier manners. Reared as the start was effected and broke over the early stages losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung inwards near the 1100 metres and struck pylons. Raced keenly passing the 1000 metres. Weakend leaving the final bend. Authorisation of dividends was withheld until Stewards spoke with driver J Abernethy and starter P Lamb and were satisfied that this gelding had not been denied a fair start.
FRANCO HAMPTON - locked wheels with the inside runner near the 500 metres after being shifted wider on the track
AIRPARK FLYER - raced keen in the parked position when being restrained to take cover near the 1700 metres.

JJ'S DELIGHT - raced in foal. Raced wide early stages.
BE MINE TONIGHT - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, Trainer/Driver D Keast explained that the mare had been spelled after failing to race competitively against stronger opposition over a mile at Ashburton in October. Mr Keast added that the mare had won a trial leading up to today's race and had been confident of a bold showing.
SONIC REIGN - raced wide early stages.
JOHNNY WHITE - raced wide early stages.
VINNIE RULZ - over-raced middle stages. Held up for racing room rounding the final bend. Raced greenly entering the final straight shifting outwards making contact with the sulky wheel of the runner to its inside pacing roughly for a stride.
MOTU LITTLE PRINCESS - broke in the score up however settled and was in its rightful position at dispatch.
ARTICULIGHT - paced roughly exiting the final bend and at various stages throughout the run home with Driver R Close advising that he was unable to drive the gelding out with any vigour. When questioned about the gelding's improved performance Mr Close advised that it had benefited from racing behind the mobile barrier and being handy entering the final straight notwithstanding this Mr Close advised that he would be recommending gear changes be made for the second day.

GO GETTA - fractious prior to the start causing the field to be turned away to readdress the barrier. Again proved fractious before breaking as the start was effected shifting outwards checking the horse to its immediate outside. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record with Caretaker Trainer G Smith advising that he will be making significant gear changes prior to the second day.
ROCKNROLL NEVIN - broke entering the first bend.
THE JANDEL MACHINE - broke at the start. Raced wide through the early stages.
OLDE OAK EMMA - broke at the start.
NUI BA DEN - paced roughly late in the run home and had to be steadied.

MADELEINE STOWE - trotted roughly rounding the first bend. Broke near the 850 metres.
THE BLOSS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres.
GIN RUMMY - displayed poor barrier manners backing away and refusing to go away with the field as the start was effected. A warning was placed on its barrier record.
GEENA'S GIRL - broke near the 400 metres.
PIRI PIRI - raced in foal. The boring pole was removed prior to the start. Displayed poor barrier manners on several occasions delaying the start and as a result was sent to the unruly where it will stay for its future standing starts. Broke racing into the first bend.
MISSY MOO - broke at the start. Weakened final bend.
SHPEEDY - broke after 100 metres.
GRENADO - raced wide early stages.
VALLEY STAR - broke after 150 metres. Authorisation of third place being awarded to this gelding was withheld until such times the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations whilst in a break at this stage of the race.
MILLIONDOLLARMONKEY - raced wide early stages. Broke nearing the 2100 metres and again nearing the 1300 metres.
RED HOT ROCKET - broke near the 1100 metres.
