| CARLAW PARK - Junior Driver J MacKinnon reported that the gelding cast its near fore plate during the running. A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the sole of the hoof which required treatment. | |

| TROJAN BANNER - shifted down to the marker line rounding the first turn by an outside runner. Driver A Poutama admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 350 metres causing interference to RUBY ROSE. The JCA imposed a suspension of Mr Poutama's Drivers licence from the conclusion of racing on the 24 December up to and including the 31 December 2018. | |

| MAKE WAY - had some difficulty obtaining clear running early and middle stages of the home straight. | |
| CYCLONE BANNER - weakened final turn inconveniencing a trailing runner. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver T Macfarlane stated that he was not overly disappointed given the fast time recorded in what was a rise in class however undertook to advise Stewards if anything untoward surfaced subsequent to the meeting. | |

| RECKON IM SMART - lay in rounding the bends when trailing the leader and in particular on the final turn contacting markers pegs and placing Driver M McKendry at a considerable disadvantage. | |
