BE INSPIRED - held up rounding the final bend.
BRONTE LINDENNY - held up rounding the final bend and for the majority of the run home.
IDEAL ASSET - hampered by a breaking runner late in the run home.
HANS IDEAL - over-raced when being restrained passing the 1900 metres. Held up rounding the final bend. Stewards questioned Junior driver S Tomlinson (assisted by C Ferguson) regarding the manner she drove in the early stages when heavily restraining her horse to obtain cover. Miss Tomlinson explained that she had to steady the gelding shortly after the start after it had paced roughly. Miss Tomlinson added that HANS IDEAL races best with cover and is inclined to over-race and for this reason continued to restrain the horse through the early stages. After hearing from Miss Tomlinson, Stewards took the matter no further.
SWEET CHILLI - weakened from the 300 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson advised he was disappointed with the effort however could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some nasal discharge. Stewards will follow up with trainer R Wilson in the coming days.
AMERICAN MAC - over-raced when being restrained to the rear of the field. Hung inwards rounding the final bend.
MAAHES - hung inwards near the 1200 metres.
FLOGGING MOLLY - raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres. Broke near the 45 metres and continued in a break across the finish line when lapped on by IDEAL ASSET and PARTICULAR. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(5) against 3rd Placing being awarded to this runner which connections did not contest. After viewing replays the JCA upheld the Protest and relegated FLOGGING MOLLY to 5th Placing.
BETTOR ROCK AGAIN - When questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised the gelding was not suited to racing without cover and due to this being its first start since a spell he was not overly disappointed. Mr Cox further advised he expected the gelding to derive benefit from the outing.

THAT'S THE STORY - driver B Williamson was warned for failing to advise the Stewards regarding the non-activation of the removable deafeners applied to the gelding.
MONIBURNS - shifted outwards slightly in the run home.
ROBBIE ROYALE - broke shortly after the start. Trotted roughly at various stages during the running. Broke again near the 400 metres. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of the gelding. Driver B Norman was warned for the manner he restrained the gelding passing the 400 metres.
LYNETTE THE VET - held up for racing room in the early to middle stages of the run home.
BACARDI N COKE - broke near the 350 metres.
THE BADGER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
TOLKIEN - broke near the 20 metres and continued in a break across the finish line when lapped on by LYNETTE THE VET. Stewards lodged a Protest pursuant to Rule 870(5) against 4th Placing being awarded to this runner which connections did not contest. After viewing replays the JCA upheld the Protest and relegated TOLKIEN to 5th Placing.

WESTAR SAM - late scratching at 11.50am on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
GLACIER COASTER - raced wide in the early stages.

TOBY O'GARA - raced wide in the early stages. Paced roughly passing the 400 metres.
BOLD RULER - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.

GOLDEN GALAXY - briefly placed in restricted room entering the home straight. Hung inwards in the early and middle stages of the run home.
SHUZI - paced roughly in the score-up and was back slightly at the start. Briefly held up leaving the final bend.
TAD LINCOLN - held up by a tiring runner near the 250 metres.
SQUARE DEALER - over-raced in the middle stages.

BROADWAY BANNER - lost contact with the body of the field from the 1800 metres and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial and veterinary clearance including an ECG prior to racing next.
RAFFY ROO - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the dispatch. Continued to pace roughly through the early stages.

DUSKY EYRE - trotted roughly on the final bend when weakening.
MAJESTIC MAN - broke at the start, settled, then broke again after 150 metres. Authorisation of 1st placing being awarded was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking shortly after the start.
ZOEY'S GIFT - broke near the 350 metres. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of the mare.
REBEL KIBBYBONES - trotted roughly at the start before breaking briefly.
SUPER FAST PAT - broke shortly after the start. Held up near the 500 metres by a tiring runner.
KING CASSIDY - trotted roughly and broke passing the 350 metres. Continued to trot roughly for the remainder of the run home.

PLEASE SHUDDUP - over-raced through the middle stages.
MACHJAGGER - weakened on the final bend.
SMOKIN BY - over-raced rounding the final bend when held up for clear racing room. Shifted outwards near the 300 metres. Placed in restricted room in the early stages of the run home.
PATS DRAGON - shifted outwards passing the 200 metres before being corrected.
CAST NO SHADOW - hung in slightly when exiting the final bend.

VON RICHTHOFEN - held up for racing room throughout the run home. Junior driver J Campbell reported he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding due to this.
BETSTARS BLUE JEAN - junior driver M Hurrell reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
TAIRLAW TOLL - paced roughly then broke in the score-up and was out of position at the dispatch. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly late in the run home.
FLASH PARTY - held up for racing room exiting the final bend. Reported by driver N Williamson to have paced roughly throughout.
MISS WAIKIWI - over-raced when being restrained to the rear of the field through the early stages. Choked down near the 1500 metres before veering off the track and crashing through the outside running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Driver S Tomlinson was unharmed in this incident. Stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
CRUISIN REUBEN - out of position at the dispatch despite the efforts of driver C Ferguson.
TANGO DANCER - briefly hampered by a breaking runner in the score-up and was slightly out of position at dispatch. Hung inwards throughout the run home.
THEODORA HOPE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner in the score-up and was slightly out of position at dispatch. Raced three wide without cover from the 800 metres.

There was a delay to the start due to the sulky needing to be changed on BRIDESDALE ROBYN.
BETTER GALLEON - held up for racing room rounding the final bend.
SADHANA - weakened from the 400 metres.
DACHY - held up for racing room rounding the final bend.
GOTTA BE DOWNTOWN - raced wide in the early stages.
BETTOR ENFORCE - raced wide in the early stages.
ROCKABILLY BLUES - raced wide in the early stages.
ZENOLA'S ART - raced wide in the early stages. Held up for racing room rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
RNR WINDERMERE - held up rounding the final bend and hung inwards throughout the run home.
SHEZACULLENGIRL - driver B Barclay was shown the replay and warned for the manner he used his whip over the concluding stages.
BRIDESDALE ROBYN - raced wide in the early and middle stages.

MOSSDALE ART - hung inwards in the early stages of the run home.
TOUCHE - broke passing the 600 metres. Driver B Williamson advised that the filly had paced roughly throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the filly's recovery with trainer P Robertson in the coming days. Driver B Williamson (TOUCHE) defended a charge issued under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly racing into the first bend by shifting ground inwards when insufficiently clear, forcing ELEGANT JEWEL (J Morrison) down on to REFLECTIONSOFMYLIFE (J Cox) resulting in that runner being forced over the marker line and breaking. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards, and the horsemen involved, the JCA reserved their decision.
SNOWY DANA - out of position at the Candy Pole and the dispatch despite the efforts of driver G McEwan. Struggled to maintain contact with the body of the field and weakened from the 650 metres.
AURELIA COTTA - raced wide in the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 600 metres.
REFLECTIONSOFMYLIFE - placed in restricted room and broke near the 1400 metres when outside runners shifted ground inwards.
ELEGANT JEWEL - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 600 metres.
A ROCKNROLL MAID - paced roughly at the start. Weakened from the 400 metres.
